This is a great neighborhood spot. We've come often over a few years. Big space, TV inside. Big patio, quite a bit is tented and heat lamps in winter. Free Music F, S, Sun. Good size stage, bands are always good. It runs to rock and blues, 60-70-80-90's. We always come here when Soulshine or The Dogs are here and we just heard this band today called Parallel and they're really good for Zep, Ozzie, The Who, grunge. oh one band is called Red something and they killed doing Santana covers. We tend to come on Sundays as it's more mellow and family friendly. They have security who are professional and friendly. Lots of parking weekendscas the Industrial Park they are in is all closed The beers/ale here are really fantastic. they usually have a seltzer. I like the Mosey Cat. Love the Pineapple ale but it's pricey at less than a pint. Local pubs usually carry a tap two of their ale. They used to have a great food truck every day of the week but now they opened their own counter restaurant Th- Sun. the food trucks still on the other days of the week are worth checking out. (Guisados I love you). Their counter food is okay but it's like Pizza, wings, Burger, hot dogs. Elevated versions so pricey-ish. it's just okay for me, honestly. I did love the empanadas but tiny. I have spinach and cheese ones one time. The pizza I got today was a supreme and the crust is good but there's pretty much zero sauce, I don't understand that. Dry af. The toppings are good quality but all the veggies are just plain raw. I look forward to taking the rest home and broiling it. read more

Stopped by for a few beers last night and ended up staying much longer than planned because the live band was fantastic. We missed the kitchen hours, so I can't comment on the food this time, but the atmosphere alone made the visit worthwhile. The crowd was energetic, everyone was having a great time, and it was wonderful to see so many people showing appreciation for the musicians with generous tips. Customer service was great and it's clear they take care of their employees, but unfortunately the experience for paying customers didn't match up. The biggest issue was the heat. Without any ceiling fans or proper airflow in the viewing rooms, it was extremely uncomfortable to sit through a match. On top of that, the TV feeds were out of sync. One room lagged several minutes behind while another was only slightly delayed. Hearing reactions to goals before seeing them on screen takes away from the whole experience. There's definitely potential here, but improving ventilation and ensuring synchronized broadcasts would make a big difference for customers. read more

This venue is very great for live music outside on the large patio. Inside is also a very large seating area. Not tremendously comfortable seating but is very casual. Always a GREAT time at Old Stump Brewing Co.! I usually come here with coworkers after a long work week, and somehow we always end up staying way later than planned--in the best way. The food is consistently solid, the ambiance hits just right, and I love that they offer both indoor and outdoor seating (plus it's kid-friendly, which is a nice bonus). My go-to drinks are the Rusty Gasket (red ale) and the Honey Blonde--both crisp, flavorful, and easy to keep coming back to. I've always enjoyed hanging out at Old Stump Brewing Co., and it's even better now that they've added a solid kitchen with great finger food. I want to give a shoutout to George, the bartender working Saturday--he was incredibly accommodating. He went out of his way to put on the NBA playoffs for our group, stayed attentive the whole time, and made sure we had everything we needed. He also gave great recommendations on the beers. The other bartender working was just as polite and honest, which made the experience even better. As for the drinks, I was hooked on "No Tan Lines" and "P-Town." "No Tan Lines" was super smooth and easy to drink with a nice coconut kick, while "P-Town" had a richer, thicker feel with strong coffee notes--both were absolutely delicious. Let me start off with.. I love "Old Stump!" This place always has great entertainment, and the "Blonde conniption" is my favorite. My guy always orders the P-town. So they opened "the Deeply Rooted" food they sell in -house.. Before they always had great food trucks.. So here's my take on the food. We ordered onion rings, to die for. (5 plus).. We decided on the "sausage and pepper rustica" pizza.. well, I like thick, delicious crust. This one was thin, and chewy.. not enough air so it gets cold and hard fast.. It had good flavor, but when it gets cold, all the topping comes off. I think a 2 star. Wasn't a fan. Hopefully they get it together and get the bumps out..I will definitely return for the beer and now the onion rings or will try something different or just live off the onion rings..so to balance it out.. Been coming to Old Stump Brewing for years and the beer has always been solid. They usually have a good variety on tap, so there's something for everyone. One of the things I always looked forward to was the rotating food vendors. It was fun trying something new each time, and sometimes I would specifically come because of whichever vendor was there that day. Since transitioning to their in-house Deeply Rooted Bistro, the experience unfortunately hasn't been the same for me. I've tried it multiple times hoping it would improve, but it's been disappointing each visit. Because of that, we actually tend to avoid coming on days when there aren't outside food vendors. I went to a tasting event and wanted to try the watermelon blonde. After waiting in line, I was next to order when the staff let someone from a nearby brewery step ahead and take the last pour. I was then told it was sold out. Tasting events are meant to introduce breweries to new customers, but it felt like they prioritized pouring another beer for someone who had already tried and liked it. Terrible customer service. The staff was rude, I asked for a few samples of beer and the woman and man scoffed every single time. And by the way the pours were ALL foam. We had moved a few tables closer together inside to accommodate our large party, we were there for about 3 hours and at last call this man in an ORANGE HAT said "just so you know, you need to move the tables back before you leave" which isn't a problem but the fact that he was rude about it really ticked me me off. I've never felt so unwelcome at a business. The women's restroom line was ridiculously long, and my husband suggested I use the men's since it was completely empty. I used the stall quickly and respectfully, and yet, staff came in and told us we needed to leave the brewery altogether just for that. It felt unfair and extreme, especially since this is California, where businesses are supposed to make reasonable accommodations for restroom access. Instead of handling the situation with understanding, they chose to kick out paying customers who were simply trying to avoid waiting in an unnecessarily long line. To make it worse, the men's restroom has urinals with no privacy dividers, which seems like a building code issue in itself. I would encourage Old Stump Brewery to rethink how they treat customers. A little compassion goes a long way, and until then, I cannot recommend this place. read more

I recently had my engagement party in the tree of trust room and it was amazing! Food was good and fresh out the oven. Staff kept checking when food was low and would restock without having to wait for more. We got lucky and they had an Amy Winehouse cover band that night which was great! I usually stay for a couple of beers, but I have also stopped by to pickup a growler to go. During the pandemic, they managed to survive by partnering with a food truck or caterer to offer tasty food. The Dept of Public Health allowed beer to be served, if food was available. Simply buy a meal, they issue you a receipt that you show at the counter to order your drink. This is axcasual spot with indoor and outdoor seating. The bad...I'm a huge craft beer fan and every single beer I've had here is mediocre. I've never had a great beer. For example see the attached picture of what is supposed to be a nitro Irish Stout. No nitro. Zero. Very light in color and flavor. Every hazy ipa I've had is lacking in the juicy flavor one expects in a hazy. I've been coming here for years. It's mine and my family's favorite overall brewery. It's spacious inside and outside. Still loving the vibes, the featured food (FIREPIZZA on Fridays is my favorite), & the LIVE music! Even when they don't have live music the playlist is always on point ! The service has improved throughout the years. The security is an awesome addition! The bartender I mentioned on my previous review, those many years ago, still works here however, he's not rude anymore. He's actually pretty cool. Maybe he just had a bad day that time. We're human? Right. I'm sad the Nut Job beer is not here anymore however, there are many other options to choose from. They range from $7-$8 each as of 2024. (My go to is rusty gasket.)
