I've been trying this location for several years off and on. The No Tan Lines stout is always my goto beer. It's always consistent in its flavor. They often have different lunch trucks on different days. Today they had Papas El Guero. I'm not too much into stuffed potatoes, but the food looked good. Let me start off with.. I love "Old Stump!" This place always has great entertainment, and the "Blonde conniption" is my favorite. My guy always orders the P-town. So they opened "the Deeply Rooted" food they sell in -house.. Before they always had great food trucks.. So here's my take on the food. We ordered onion rings, to die for. (5 plus).. We decided on the "sausage and pepper rustica" pizza.. well, I like thick, delicious crust. This one was thin, and chewy.. not enough air so it gets cold and hard fast.. It had good flavor, but when it gets cold, all the topping comes off. I think a 2 star. Wasn't a fan. Hopefully they get it together and get the bumps out..I will definitely return for the beer and now the onion rings or will try something different or just live off the onion rings..so to balance it out.. Been coming to Old Stump Brewing for years and the beer has always been solid. They usually have a good variety on tap, so there's something for everyone. One of the things I always looked forward to was the rotating food vendors. It was fun trying something new each time, and sometimes I would specifically come because of whichever vendor was there that day. Since transitioning to their in-house Deeply Rooted Bistro, the experience unfortunately hasn't been the same for me. I've tried it multiple times hoping it would improve, but it's been disappointing each visit. Because of that, we actually tend to avoid coming on days when there aren't outside food vendors. Terrible customer service. The staff was rude, I asked for a few samples of beer and the woman and man scoffed every single time. And by the way the pours were ALL foam. We had moved a few tables closer together inside to accommodate our large party, we were there for about 3 hours and at last call this man in an ORANGE HAT said "just so you know, you need to move the tables back before you leave" which isn't a problem but the fact that he was rude about it really ticked me me off. I went to a tasting event and wanted to try the watermelon blonde. After waiting in line, I was next to order when the staff let someone from a nearby brewery step ahead and take the last pour. I was then told it was sold out. Tasting events are meant to introduce breweries to new customers, but it felt like they prioritized pouring another beer for someone who had already tried and liked it. I've never felt so unwelcome at a business. The women's restroom line was ridiculously long, and my husband suggested I use the men's since it was completely empty. I used the stall quickly and respectfully, and yet, staff came in and told us we needed to leave the brewery altogether just for that. It felt unfair and extreme, especially since this is California, where businesses are supposed to make reasonable accommodations for restroom access. Instead of handling the situation with understanding, they chose to kick out paying customers who were simply trying to avoid waiting in an unnecessarily long line. To make it worse, the men's restroom has urinals with no privacy dividers, which seems like a building code issue in itself. I would encourage Old Stump Brewery to rethink how they treat customers. A little compassion goes a long way, and until then, I cannot recommend this place. read more

The good...cool ambience and outside patio. The OK....some great bands (The Dogs), some not so great bands. Some great food trucks (Infused Roots) and some good food trucks. The bad...I'm a huge craft beer fan and every single beer I've had here is mediocre. I've never had a great beer. For example see the attached picture of what is supposed to be a nitro Irish Stout. No nitro. Zero. Very light in color and flavor. Every hazy ipa I've had is lacking in the juicy flavor one expects in a hazy. Bottom line, come here for a fun time but don't come here for the beer. read more

There's a local brewery that I have been going to for a few years. They have good selections of beers and entertainment on the weekends. Come alone or meetup with friends for a place with a cool vibe, good service, fair prices and they are dog-friendly too. I usually stay for a couple of beers, but I have also stopped by to pickup a growler to go. During the pandemic, they managed to survive by partnering with a food truck or caterer to offer tasty food. The Dept of Public Health allowed beer to be served, if food was available. Simply buy a meal, they issue you a receipt that you show at the counter to order your drink. This is axcasual spot with indoor and outdoor seating.
