This was a great find in the Glendora Village area. What's not to like when tacos and tapas are their specialty, right! Before I describe my meal, I want to rave about the layout. Looks are deceiving from the outside. The decor is colorful and vibrant. It has a Ranch style/Western theme. The interior has seating along the windows, an open outdoor patio with tables/umbrellas. A separate banquet room is in the back, easy access from the rear parking lot for your private party. Here you can enjoy sports games on the TVs and drinks from the bar setup in this room. On July 18th, I was going to a picnic and came by to buy the tapas platter. There was beef empanadas in the order, no substitutions allowed, so I ordered ala carte instead. We had a Chicken Quesadilla (with sour cream and salsa), Shrimp Taquitos (with guacamole), and diced potatoes tossed in a mild red sauce and oven roasted Papas Bravado). I'm so glad, I live nearby so I can drop by for more of these Shrimp Taquitos and try other items from the menu. Saturday Dinner. September 19th. / 20267 Celebration. FOOD: ZERO SERVICE: 8 SERVER: "CASH" My husband ordered a bear, it was nice. I never was able to look at the drink menu. I ordered two shredded beef tacos with rice & beans absolutely zero flavor.! I requested my meal to be on a plate not multiple plates. Please serve on one plate. My husband ordered two double tacos. STORE bought TACO SHELL's REALLY!. with a flour tortilla slathered with beans to keep the shells together and an order of rice and beans. My husband said the tacos were good. My taco was so over FRIED! It was completely split down the middle and when I went to take a bite my taco crumbled into many pieces what a mess no flavor! Bland not enjoyable and the guacamole was in a tiny metal cup. You couldn't get the guacamole out and it was a mess. You don't serve food like this. It's not enjoyable you come for an entrée you want it on a plate not in a taco stand. I am a very neat eater and there wasn't anything neat about my tacos and guacamole.! They weren't served on a nice dinner plate either horrible presentation!!!!!!!!!! .! I wish we would have left when we read there was NO COMBO ENTRÉES ONLY TACOS, AND TAPAS! Horrible. Happened to visit this place that was recommended to us during the annual car show in town. It was crowded but we were happy that we were sat quickly since the hostess went to clean a table for us. Our server was super busy but took our order and checked in with us often. The only problem was I ordered Baja fish tacos and was served grilled. Not a big deal since I love both but a bit disappointed. They were grilled nicely and flavorful so it was a good mistake. The chips and salsa were outstanding. Not heavy chips. Light and crispy. The salsa apparently has a hint of chocolate and gave it some unique deliciousness. Lastly, our server forgot to get close us out and it definitely was at least a 15 minute wait to get the check. As we walked into Ramon's we were greeted by a friendly worker named Cash . He was so welcoming and invited us to dine in the back room which was perfect . There are several TV's and a clean , nicely decorated indoor area that was perfect to get out of the heat. Cash gave us top notch service , very attentive and made us feel like we were valued customers. The chicken fajitas were delicious , they came out hot with freshly made tortillas. I ordered the hibiscus lemonade, it was so refreshing and delicious just like the rest of the food . In the heart of the Glendora village, Ramon's Tacos Y Tapas offers a good selection of Mexican food. While it feels like it's mostly appetizers and finger food, it is no surprise given the name. The place has ample outside sitting while the inside is very small. We sat outside as the majority of guests do. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. We settled for some fajitas, Baja tacos, guacamole on the side and even had some dessert. Over the all the food was great the service was outstanding. Great place for a little date night. read more

What I love about Ramon's: The cuisine is fresh, flavorful, and comes out piping hot! I highly suggest you try the mole enchiladas (get them with two over medium eggs on top), the chicken tikka street tacos, the tapas platter, and my absolute favorite, Ramon's fajitas! Actually, to be completely honest with my Yelp buddies, it's a toss-up between the chicken mole enchiladas and Ramon's fajitas being my "absolute" favorite, but you have my Dennis W. guarantee they will make your taste buds happier than a puppy slobbering over a new chew toy! I can't say enough about the highly energetic, welcoming, and attentive staff. Ezekiel (Chucky) introduced himself and he's clearly running a tight ship! Hunter prowls the tables, making sure our orders get in promptly, we have plenty of warm chips, and the watermelon margaritas keep flowing. Even without a full liquor license, there are a variety of libations to pair with your meals. It's an absolute delight to enjoy downtown Glendora seated outside on the patio. There are table inside, but sitting outside is way to go and you can bring your doggie. So upon walking in I saw the place was pretty clean. They have outdoor seating which can be a good and bad thing depending on the season and time of day. To drink I got a Mexican coke in the glass but they also gave me a restaurant cup with it and I poured it into the restaurant cup and had it in it instead of the glass. For food I got a bean and cheese burrito with onions added. The service was pretty good staff was pretty nice and I had a great experience. Overall I rate this place 5 stars. I really enjoyed hosting a business lunch here. It was so good that I ended up doing a dinner and came back again. The service was outstanding and we were looked after by Clarissa today and she was super attentive and I have to say the service here is incredible. It really takes me back to how service should be and used to be prior to COVID but so many places don't have good service anymore. I had a deep desire in craving for paella recently after a thorough yelp search I found that this restaurant closest to my home. I ate outside because the weather was very good. The only distraction was young skateboarders flying down the sidewalk in between tables nearest the curb and tables nearest the restaurant, other than that service was good and attentive. The ambience was adequate outdoors. Obviously, the prayer was plentiful. Had it twice once there and what was left over I had the next day it was plenty. The next time I have a unrelenting craving for paella this will probably be the first place. We've passed by this restaurant so many times and finally decided to give it a try on Taco Tuesday--plus it was Cinco de Mayo, so we were excited to check it out. We ordered a variety of tacos and a side of guacamole. The food itself was good but unfortunately everything felt overpriced for what you get. What really stood out, though, was the service. Our drinks didn't arrive until we had already finished eating, and we never received utensils or napkins until we asked. The waitresses were kind, but it seemed like things kept getting forgotten, which took away from the overall experience. Every time I've eaten or ordered from here, I am usually so hungry, I never stop to do my Yelping duties and take a photo or two or three!! I removed one star because I feel like they are a bit pricey? But maybe I'm just getting grumpy in my older age and don't get out enough?? lol! Lovely new eatery to Downtown Glendora and a breath of fresh air for our community. We came yesterday (Saturday) for the grand opening, but since we were starving and couldn't wait long, we ended up leaving and going to Kara's. And of course, because of the grand opening day, it was bustling and hectic. And you can see the visual stress on the employees. Came back today (Sunday) and beat the early dinner crowd, and we were seated inside almost immediately. Service was prompt and very kind. Loved the purse hooks under the tables for inside seating. And I chose inside seating to avoid mosquitoes having me for dinner outside. The decor was nice, and we got to hear the kitchen activities and smell all the delicious smells. Unfortunately, empanadas and paella were not available yet on the menu, but we made some delicious alternative choices. The garlic shrimp tapas was the most stand-out dish for me. Also ordered, Steamed Clams, Garbanzo y Tomate, Choripan. The churro was delicious, but it was definitely a serving for one person. It is one churro cut into bite-sized pieces with chocolate dipping sauce. Tapas is small plates and meant to be shared, but I do hope they'll get the portion ingredients to match the prices. Our waiter kept our water glasses full, and employees checked on us often. And I must stay we noticed a huge staff. No employee shortage here! Been eagerly awaiting the opening of Ramon's since Domenico's Jr. closed their Glendora location, which we sadly miss. We didn't go right away as I wanted to make sure they got their first week bumbles out of the way. That is, if they had any. The good news is that I couldn't see any major or minor reasons to not give them a 5. Service was quick and friendly and we were offered indoor or outdoor seating as the indoor space is small - similar as before with Domenico's but it looks like a few more tables inside if that's your preference. We sat outside on their reserved patio area - a left over benefit of Covid-era downtown outside dining. We started with Chips and Salsa which didn't disappoint. The chips were warm - my only critique would be they could be a littler warmer if you're going to warm them up anyway. The salsa was really good. Not your standard table fare but instead their own recipe which was unlike salsas I've had. It was a bit roasted, a bit sweet, a bit spicy. I could go hotter but think it's a great table salsa. My son and I both enjoyed the street tacos - a plate of 4, traditionally served on corn tortillas and just the right toppings. The carnitas was the big winner. It melted in your mouth and the onions were the perfect addition. The chicken was surprisingly good and different than what I'm used to. The carne asade could have used a little more seasoning but was still great. Considering the location, atmosphere, service, and price, I give them a 5 and I'm excited to go back one evening with my wife to try their tapas! read more

After an energetic climb on our bicycles up Glendora Mountain Road, we were ready for lunch in lovely downtown Glendora. We stumbled on Ramón's Tacos Y Tapas, and were very satisfied. Our appetizer of taquitos was nicely presented and extremely tasty, with fresh guacamole on the side. Our main was the Paella de Moricos for two. Loaded with seafood (shrimp, clams, and unconventionally, salmon), with great rice and excellent flavor. We left happy! Tried this for the first time today. I had the chicken enchiladas my wife ordered the salmon. Both dishes were delicious! Disappointed that I was long since finished with the enchiladas before my wife got her salmon. A table should have all diners served at the same time. They were very apologetic. Even though it was rather cool we sat outside, with the heater on it was very pleasant. The server was very friendly and helpful. I ordered 2 Ribeye tacos with onion & cilantro. At first sight I wondered 2 corn tortillas with a flat piece of meat on top. I put the sauce, onions and cilantro folded it and took a bite, oh that's good. The meat was tender with just the amount of sauce, onions and cilantro. Looked plain but tasted wonderful. I also had a refreshing small house salad. My wife had one of the best tasting Chile Rellenos I've ever tasted with battered and fried pepper with jack cheese, ranchera sauce and cotija cheese. She also had a nicely flavored Chicken tinga (shredded chicken simmered in a smoky, spicy tomato and chipotle sauce) enchilada covered in a nice green sauce. My husband, so and I stopped by on Mother's Day afternoon for our first visit. The restaurant is small inside and quaint however, they have seating out front as well as in the back in a corridor. As you can imagine it being Mother's Day, it was a little crowded out front, but we were quickly offered a seat inside or in the corridor. We opted to sit in the corridor, which was nice and quiet and we definitely still received attentive service. As soon as we sat down, warm chips and salsa were served. The warm chips were thinner and lighter than usual but still held up when scooping the salsa which by the way was very tasty. My husband had the flight of margaritas, which were all very tasty and a nice serving size. My husband was intrigued by the fundido as it came with handmade tortillas. The queso fundido had nice chunks of chorizo and the cheese had a good consistency that lent its self well to be scooped with the tortillas. The tortillas had a different texture than we are accustomed to however they still had that delicious handmade taste. We also ordered the mole enchiladas with beans instead of rice. I am a big critic when it comes to beans and these passed my test as I could tell they were homemade and not from a can. The enchiladas were generously filled with chicken, which packed a lot of flavor and was very moist. The molé itself was a little sweeter than I would prefer however, it had a very robust flavor and a nice kick at the end and I still considered it a very good molé. We ordered our son grilled chicken and french fries. The fries were crispy and thin like my son prefers. The chicken was tender and juicy however it needed a little seasoning. We ended our meal with the churros with chocolate sauce, which to our surprise also came with two scoops of vanilla ice cream and magic chocolate shell. We love churros and these definitely did not disappoint. Overall, we were very pleased with our meal, the service, and the setting, and definitely plan on returning to try more dishes . read more
