Absolutely delicious! Had the "home style" medium. Perfect amount of spice. Mac & cheese is yummy. Small dining area available, nice and clean. Two guys working their butts off in here. Definitely coming by here when I make the trek to Winco.
I ordered the 14-piece nuggets from Crimson Coward in Pomona and honestly I feel ripped off. There weren't even 10 actual pieces in my box. Most of what I got were tiny scraps and broken pieces of chicken. I paid for 14 pieces, so I expected 14 actual pieces, not whatever was left at the bottom of the fryer
If you love Nashville Chicken, you can stop by here in Pomona location. Ordered: Crimson Sandwich with mild spice - It comes with pickles, sauce, and slaw on brioche bun. Half Coward - 6 medium spice wing pieces with fries and toast. Food was cooked fresh to order. Overall, the food was just okay and was bit pricey. Friendly staff and good service.
Stopped by on my search for the blend of spicy and flavors that work together... The staff was super cool and accommodating as I sat and went back and forth about the heat. Ordered two 3 tender combos and 1 had the hottest they offer (no fries) and the other just hot (with fries.) the super hot was exactly how they said, kind of unbearable to the point the food wasn't tasting good but on the other end just the hot was a perfect mix of flavor and heat. I definitely would go back for that in a sandwich. The true reason for the score is the Mac n Cheese, I don't know how I listened to the reviews but this is just some velveta style Mac n cheese that has kind of a kiddish flavor, nothing tasting super homemade or with real cheeses. Coleslaw was ok and the blooming onion had some good flavor, right amount of salt and was good with the dipping sauces. Also got a lemonade with a splash of fruit punch, but these were just fountain drinks. I'd hope for a little better effort in the sides but the chicken was cooked good and flavors on par.
$20 for a chicken sandwich and some fries...not the best deal but not terrible. Some parts of the chicken were mostly batter but overall the food was good. Fries were also better than most places. If you are looking to beat the heat, the inside of this place has an amazing A/C. I would def order from here again.

Takyo and Mikel was amazing. Hidden in the same plaza at Starbucks below Winco parking lot. My husband and I came across this place on yelp and decided to give it a try. The momemt we walked in they were so welcoming and explained all the menus and hidden menu items as well. Inside was very clean and I loved that it was open kitchen and kitchen area was super clean too. Food was priced well considering the economy and portions were pretty generous as well. We opted in for three things from their menu. 1. Half Coward (medium spicy and hot) 2. Joey Eat Fries (medium spicy) 3. Home Style Sandwich We got all our food without pickles because we don't like pickles. Got our food togo and chicken was still cuper crispy. Their mac and cheese is super cheesy and rich. BBQ sauce that you can only get their has a little spicy kick to it but it was super tasty. I loved that their chicken was not too crazy salty like the other chicken sandwich chain. Crispy and seasoning was not too overpowering. Definitely a spot to check out. I would have to say their wings with HOT spicy level was my favorite and then the Joey Eat Fries. For those that are local definitely give this place a try. You will not regret it.

Stopped by for lunch, which I was really the only person in there so I thought it was kind of nice and chill haha. The store was fairly clean, but has a lot of sticky floor sounds each time you step around, especially the restroom lol. The employees were nice and welcoming tho! I ordered the crimson sandwich, which I assumed was just the typical nashville hot chicken sandwich. They make it fresh, so you know it's gonna be pipin hot. It was about $14 for a sandwich, which is pretty high imo. Since I was the only customer, the guy who made it was kind to hand it over to me! You can see all the oil dripping from the chicken lol. It's definitely a hefty piece. First few bites, honestly the flavor wasn't really prominent, I could only really taste it from the sauce in the burger. The chicken wasn't really that flavorful, nor mildly spicy, but it was definitely hot from being fresh from the grill. Unfortunate that it was lacking flavor, which I definitely had better at other joints. read more

Diana and Cameron were incredibly kind and welcoming. They were very informative about the menu and genuinely honest about what they recommend and what tastes best. Cameron especially went out of his way to introduce the menu and make us feel comfortable. Not every restaurant has staff who take the time to truly guide customers through their food like this establishment does. Their customer service is on another level. I loved the bar seating because you can watch them cook everything fresh right in front of you. They were very personable with both their regulars and first-time customers, which made the atmosphere feel warm and inviting. The food is FRESH -- cooked immediately after ordering. Diana shared that they receive new chicken daily and never use frozen chicken, which definitely shows in the quality. My favorite meal was the Half Coward -- very juicy with the perfect mild spice. The Loaded Mac was sooo good as well! You can truly tell this is a family-owned business that puts love and care into everything they do. We pray your business continues to flourish. Hey guys today I was visiting some family out here in Pomona and my cousin wanted some chicken I saw there was a Crimson Coward which I've been dying to try and I was definitely NOT disappointed!!! I ordered country home style, seasoned fries and fried pickles. Everything was fresh crispy and delicious. I will absolutely be back to try out some heat. I usually start with no heat to see how their seasoning is and it's just PERFECT! Don't believe me try them yourself!! read more

I came here mainly to try their version of the Onion blossom called the Crimson onion ($9). I also bought the The Crimson ($13), Crimson burrito, tenders ($11) for my family's dinner. The onion blossom was a bit salty, good size for sharing for 3 people. The batter was crispy even after driving home and it did not get too soggy. The Crimson burger came with slaw, pickles, and crimson sauce on a fluffy brioche bun. The heat level was good for my brothers, mild for me and burn baby burn had a heat that my brother liked and said it was actually spicy. The crimson burrito was a chopped chicken with slaw and crimson sauce in a wrapped tortilla. My mom said it was ok, a bit too salty for her. The tenders were moist and had a nice crispy batter that was not too thick. Their fries were good, not too crispy or salty. The staff was nice and the place is clean. Bring your appetite or bring a buddy, or you have enough left over for two meals! Service - Excellent. Very friendly atmosphere. Start to finish. Employees asked if we enjoyed our meal and thanked us for stopping by. Ambiance - Quick and casual. Limited seating. Food - Bomb. Not a lot of Nashville chicken out there. Drive from Corona was about 20 min. This place is on the border of Pomona/Chino Hills/Chino... so not deep in Pomona! Portions are very large; I feel the price is reflective of that. Chicken is juicy and tender. Joey-Eat-Fries were great. Lots of pickles and lots of cheese sauce. I'd get it on the side next time, or especially if you're getting it to go... sauces on the side. Coleslaw is thinly sliced/heavier on the mayo. Fries were thick and crispy. I got the mild heat and it was just that. I will kick it up a notch next time. These are the new chicken nuggets, at crimson.l ordered a large and was confused because it does not look like a large. When ordering these nuggets l was expecting a good amount of nuggets because l ordered a large, but did not expect to get so little. I could've gone to sonic and order the same large nuggets, and would've gotten more than what l gotten at crimson.beside all that friendly , definitely not going back anytime soon. The story began with a California chef native who traveled to Nashville and was inspired to bring the Nashville Hot Chicken style back. On top of that, Crimson chicken claims to be never frozen and always fresh. The Crimson Chicken Sandwiches is the most popular item in the store. The sandwiches come with boneless chicken breast, special crimson sauce, slaw, pickles, and a homemade brioche bun. There are 5 spicy levels, which are country, mild, medium, hot, and burning hot. The mild is ALREADY extremely spicy. If someone is crazy about eating spicy food, then this is the place to be. Their spice is extremely intense, to a point you can see the spicy red oil dripping out of your sandwiches. Chicken tastes extremely tender, fresh, and juicy. They have 4 different types of sauce, Crismon sauce, ranch, honey, and cheese sauce. The Crimson sauce is a special house sauce made with Crismon seasoning. Crismon sauce gives you the tingling spicy sensation with it. read more

I have to say it was a great first visit to Crimson. Not only did I find their wings and tenders juicy, the heat levels right on point, and the service impeccable and warm, but the operation seemed to be running very efficiently. I have high hopes this will become a mainstay chicken joint to go to when you're craving your ass burnt or even just mildly scolded. I shall return, if for nothing else but their Burn, Baby, Burn spice level gets the blood pumping like a jumpstart from hell. And that's a good thing. read more

Continuing my search to find the best fried chicken in the Greater LA area, I was invited by a friend to try Crimson Coward located just adjacent to the 71 freeway. And after taking a look at the positive reviews on Yelp, the experience of others seemed enough to get me to give them a try on a Sunday night. Coming into the restaurant around 5:00PM, the restaurant was empty. But because no one was eating in at the time, the staff were able to make my food very quickly. Looking at the menu, there were many different dishes. But for this visit, I decided on a 3 piece chicken tenders box at medium spice ($11.00) and a Full Coward 12 piece wing box at mild spice ($28.00). The food was ready in about 5 minutes and I took my food out of the restaurant. Opening the box of chicken tenders, I was surprised by the size of each piece! For one, the three pieces had a thin layer of breading and a whole lot of chicken. Each piece spanned the length of my palm to the tip of my middle finger which to me was great from a size perspective. A piece of bread was given with the meal which was a nice addition. But unfortunately, the bread was not toasted and turned out to be just a piece at the bottom. Furthermore, the box I received did not come with the pickles the dish was supposed to come with. The Full Coward box was similar to the tenders box in that the chicken wings were thinly breaded and had a lot of meat. But similarly, the piece of bread at the bottom was not toasted and there were no pickles in sight. At the $11 price tag, the tenders box was more than filling and easily more worth it of the two. But on the contrary, $28 dollars for 12 wings leans on the pricey side compared to many other places in the Pomona area. With these two items taken into account separately, the total price to portion ratio is only decent. Onto the taste of the tenders, I found the white meat to be fulfilling and fresh. With the medium-spice breading, the chicken gave a pretty heavy kick which made me reach for some water. But it was rich with seasoning as well which provided flavor for the meat. If anything, the only thing I would wish for is a tad more moisture. Onto the wings, the chicken meat had a hint of flavor inside. However, most of the flavor was on the breading. For the mild spice, there was little to no kick. But all things considered, the wings were seasoned very well. Moisture of the wings was balanced and made them taste borderline succulent which was much appreciated. As for the bread last, each slice tasted just like you'd imagine: slice of white bread mixed with the remnants of chicken seasoning. In all, the food was pretty good. But nothing crazy to write home about. Looking back on my first experience at Crimson Coward, I would say that there were many positives to the place. The price for the tenders was pretty good, the taste was decent, and the service was pretty fast. But on the contrary, there were many aspects that leave room for improvement. The price for the wings was on the more pricey side, the pickles were missing from each of the boxes, the bread inside was plain, and the moisture of the tenders was lacking. All of these being considered, I argue Crimson Coward earns a three star rating out of five. If I were to return for a second time, I'd definitely order something else. But in all, Crimson Coward is a decent spot with a decent chicken for a decent price. read more
