Value Bowl Combo. Sweet and spicy chicken with loaded miso soup

I love coming to this place. Employees are kind and courteous. Alessandra is awesome, she already knows my order by memory (I stop by at least 4 times a week after the gym) and always receives you with a smile. Give her a raise! Food is great, and they have the best portions of all the Waba spots I have visited. (At least 7) Recommend!

I have been to quite a few Waba Grills and I have to say this location is my favorite. My food is always ready in time, the staff are friendly, my order has always been correct and my food tastes fresh. I usually get to go buy the couple times I have dined in the inside has been clean and not crazy overpacked with people which is nice. I am bummed they no longer have the bottle of garlic sauce you get self serve but I'm sure people were abusing that privilege. Their miso soup is very good but the one time I got the loaded miso soup I thought it was too bland. That was my experience though. Definitely give this location a try!

Good location, plenty of parking, awesome and hard-working employees, good prices and of course, AWESOME food!

I placed an order online and picked up in store. Interior looked clean and the staff was helpful and asked if I wanted any additional sauces. I had a tofu mini bowl for the first time and I prefer tofu to chicken as my protein. It wasn't busy at all when I went. Overall an ok Waba Grill to go to.

Super fresh food that came out quickly. Juliana was my server and she was incredibly helpful, kind, and informative. I asked her about the different options and her opinions, and she pointed me in the right direction. I have found a new spot to eat while I'm at school at CPP. This place is phenomenal

Attention to detail here is lacking big time. Placed an online order for a chicken bowl, substitute for all white meat chicken (Paid the extra amount required). When I got home, I realized it was not white chicken at all. Just a bunch of sloppily cooked pieces of chicken fat and darker meat.

Sweet and Spicy chicken bowl with brown rice and veggies. Plus a side salad.

I ordered the sweet and spicy chicken bowl with brown rice. Everything tasted delicious and fresh. Also the customer service was GREAT. Thanks Waba Grill in Walnut!

    Half beef....half chicken..

I'm not a fan of my brother's last minute decisions as he's driving to pull up into a place and ask me if I'm hungry. I guess??? Don't I get to pick where I get to eat. He drives crazy too. Half beef... Half chicken... Beef portion was really tasty and enjoyable. Chicken although slightly dry was quite good. Service was good, place clean. Now back to my brother's crazy driving. Anyone got a helmet?

    No good

I can't believe they would serve an avocado like this... paid extra for nothing !!! So upset. I called and no one answered....

Absolutely TERRIBLE experience. Do not waste your time or money here…read more The moment we walked into Fu's Restaurant, it felt like stepping into a sauna. It was 79 degrees inside, muggy, humid, and completely uncomfortable. We almost turned around and left immediately. The place was practically empty, which honestly should have been our first red flag. We decided to give them a chance anyway. Big mistake. My colleague and I were offered water or hot tea. We both ordered hot tea. The menu clearly says in English that hot tea is $2.99. Nowhere does it clearly explain in English that you will be charged differently depending on how many people drink it. When the bill came, we were charged $5 each. Apparently, there is some clarification written in Chinese, but how are customers who do not read Chinese supposed to know that? That is completely misleading. The tea portions were not larger, not special, nothing different. Just basic tea. The pricing felt deceptive. We also ordered popcorn chicken and chili wonton soup. Both came out in tiny portions that looked like appetizers, yet the menu does not clearly label them as such. For what we received, paying over $30 total felt ridiculous. The food itself was mediocre at best. Nothing memorable and definitely not worth the price. Because of the uncomfortable temperature, confusing pricing, small portions, and average food, we chose not to leave a tip. As we were walking out, the waiter chased us outside and pressured us about the zero tip. That is completely inappropriate. Tipping is not mandatory. It is earned. Confronting customers outside over a tip is unprofessional and embarrassing. Between the heat, the questionable menu pricing, the small portions, and being confronted outside, this was one of the worst dining experiences I have had in a long time. We will never be back. There are plenty of better places within the same plaza than to dine here. I don't expect this place to last long anyway.

The price point felt very fair, especially with the dumplings coming in at $14.85. Ambiance was casual and clean, jazz music with nice wall art. The food was good, the scallion pancakes were perfect for splitting between us. I also really appreciated the balanced portion control; it felt like just the right amount of food without being overwhelming. We were only ones in the restaurant near end of business on a Sunday night. Service speed was expected as cook to order. Definitely a good spot if you're looking for a simple and reasonable meal in Walnut or near Mt. San Antonio College. FYI photos are of the wall art, food was devoured.

Very convenient for moderate to large size parties I think. the staff members were very nice, and helpful. I ordered the Grilled Steak bowel and it was perfectly made, medium rare, although they did not ask me if I wanted medium rare (that is how I eat my steak). I came in on a Sunday afternoon around 3pm, and my first impressions walking in was the interior is clean and pleasantly warm. I ordered the creamy mala seafood pasta since it was the most unique dish on the menu. Service was good but nothing special. Creamy mala seafood pasta, 2.5/5: The pasta was inoffensively average. There were some bites that were creamy and some bites that weren't. I honestly thought it could use more cream or butter to add some more richness. The pasta itself was al dente. There wasn't much flavor overall with the dish, and the mala was very mild (for reference, I can handle medium spice levels at other restaurants). The seafood quality was okay for the price. Overall, I thought the ambiance was really nice, but the pasta I ordered was average at best. Maybe I will give this place a 2nd chance and try something else.

I am so glad we chose Hide Out Cafe in Rowland Heights to have our celebration. The food is delicious, the staff is so friendly, and the cafe is so cozy and welcoming. My brother was sponsoring our meal since he couldn't make it, so of course we had to go all out and order two drinks and two main dishes. (Thank you, big brother)! I got the Boba Bear Set $8.50, which comes with a drink and two house-made cookies, and my mom got their Tiramisu Latte $7.00, which is heavy on the coffee liquor, to be honest, but we had fun with it. The drinks are crafted beautifully, and with the open cafe concept, you can see they pay attention to the small details of their crafted drink menu. The house-made cookies that were a part of my Boba Bear Set are not to be forgotten. The cookies are buttery, decadent, and delicious; they are the perfect tea cookies to pair with! I can't wait to go back and try more of their fun drinks and maybe bring a study book the next time. For our main dishes, we shared the Chimi Wagyu & Frites $35.00, and the Fresh Avocado Toast $19.00. We both love eggs so of course we had to get something with eggs in our dish. My mom loved her avocado toast, and they were very generous with the avocado as well on there. The salad is a definite hit with us and included a great dressing on the side. The eggs were cooked perfectly on top of our toast and steak. The frites with my steak were crispy and seasoned well. I also loved the chimi sauce with my steak as well. The portion was huge so we were able to take some back home to enjoy another day. Overall, my mom and I had a great experience and would absolutely come back for another sip of their lattes and try another fun drink on their menu. I headed in first to get a table because I saw a bunch of people standing out the door, and when I told the host that i needed wheelchair accessible seating, he immediately let me sit at the side table by the restroom, which was perfect and had plenty of room for my son to roll to. Nothing super special, but standard HK style cafe good. The pizza was disappointing. Maybe I should've ordered their menu pizzas instead of creating my own. The toppings I picked were ok (the turkey on the pizza was deli sandwich slices), but the tomato sauce base was too thick and acidic, which kind of ruined the pizza for us. I don't think they used a proper pizza sauce, it lacked any seasoning or depth, and tasted like tomato sauce straight from a can. The pizza crust was pretty good, but honestly I can make a better pizza than this at home. Next time I'm back, I'm just going to stick to the usual cafe foods.
