I'm so tired of most of the Farmer Boys in OC! I can never understand why there is always a problem when I generally get the same order: burger and fried zucchini. Last week, I went in to order a burger and participate in the holiday gift card promotion where $25 gets you a free $5. When I tried to use the gift card, the cashier tells me that I can't use it the same day I bought it. So I leave and try to use the gc today. To my surprise, the cashier only loaded the card with $0.25 cents instead of the $25 I spent! I literally had to drive from the Laguna Niguel store back to the Irvine location in rush hour traffic. When I get there, the manager Rosa, whom I've told on multiple occasions when they've put onions on my burger, of which I'm allergic and had to throw the burger out, has an attitude with me and I have to wait over AN HOUR for her to fix the gc problem! Then when I'm asking her why she is always mean and accusatory, she tells me that I should quiet down. Why? Multiple times over a year, Rosa has called me a liar and why would I lie to her? Bc I'm black? Just don't understand this FB and their distrust of customers. HB location never gives me these problems! It's solid for what it is. They have a pretty standard breakfast burrito here. I generally order the breakfast burrito with sausage. It comes stuffed with 3 eggs, American cheese, crispy hash browns, house-made salsa, and with whatever protein you choose. Good, not memorable, and the tortilla isn't toasted so it's a little slimy. It's fine. For under $10 bucks, I'll take what I can get. There are no weird ingredients such as beans or rice, so I'm fine with the Farmer Boys rendition of a breakfast burrito. Nice spot right next to the hotel. Not much in the way of parking if you're trying to park close. They have adapted like other businesses to more outdoor dining and that's where you'll see most people. They don't have a drive-thru but Farmer Boy's prepares your food when you order so there's a bit of a wait. Good for breakfast although you're limited on what you can change from the standard menu. They specialize in their burgers which are a satisfying size. I ordered "to go" so can't comment on the interior but it looked nice and clean from my vantage point. They seem to do pretty good business because lunchtime has people constantly coming and going. read more

I also ordered a side salad which was a generous portion and I love the southwest ranch style dressing! Great Togo breakfast option for those that work in the area. The prices are extremely reasonable and fair considering the area. I had the daybreak breakfast sandwich with sausage and I was very satisfied with my sandwich. The huge potato bread bun was so soft and fluffy and the omelet style egg inside with cheddar cheese was still warm when I got it back to the office. I highly recommend getting the sausage because it's flavorful but not spicy or fatty like some other places. Be sure to use tapatio or hot sauce in this or the breakfast burritos. My coworker got a burrito with sausage and said it was surprisingly good. He has a very particular taste for quality and for him to say that I'd consider that a win for Farmer Boys. Placed an order for breakfast this morning and it took me calling 3x. 1st time they picked up and hung up. 2nd time put me on hold for 2 min and then disconnected me. I was reprimanded for using a photo and then the manager Bianca accused me of being angry because I was curious as to what the issue was. She then told me to calm down when I wasn't upset. My experience below: The Farmer's burger. Two well done beef patties topped with hickory-smoked bacon, 'Merican cheese, avocado, lettuce, tomato, and 1000 island dressing. Perfectly layered for your enjoyment, delicious, and filling. The sides. Onion rings were perfectly made with the right amount of crunch. Fries were alright and went well with the complimentary ranch dressing (made fresh every day). The space. Really new open environment with comfortable seating and great decorations. Maintained extremely clean by the staff. Customer service. I was really impressed with their attention to detail and concern with my satisfaction as a customer. Robert went the extra mile to help me with eating utensils, filling up my drink, and cleaning up after the meal. Takeaways. If you haven't tried Farmer Boys,go now. Price is very reasonable and a great value. The menu is so diverse but not in an intimidating way. There's something for everyone. When my wife and I got her food, I got a breakfast platter with eggs, bacon, hashbrowns and pancakes and my wife got a salad. The pancakes were halfway burnt. The bacon was half burnt have not done. The eggs were half burnt and done and the hashbrowns were soaked in grease. My wife's salad was bad. Her avocado was rotten and the lettuce appeared to be old. I placed an online order due to me having a 30 minute lunch break every time I go to the restaurant their extremely busy and it takes my whole lunch break for them to make my order. I placed my order at 10:15 AM and set it for a pick up time of 12:25 PM when I got my food, my food was completely cold.
