Went into Farmer Boys on Saturday May 23rd and honestly had such a good experience. We ordered the Farmer Burger, fries, breakfast sandwich, fried zucchini, tons of ranch of course, and the Southwest Chicken Wrap. The burgers and sides were AMAZING -- definitely the stars of the meal. The chicken wrap wasn't our favorite because the chicken was pretty dry, so we'd probably skip that next time and stick with the burgers. What really surprised us though was how clean the restaurant was and how genuinely sweet the staff was. The young man who helped us was so polite, patient, and kind the entire time, and great customer service like that really stands out these days. We'll definitely be back! Only suggestion... The menu says it comes with 3 slices of American cheese and pepper jack, but mine only had American. One of the staff members (a man who had earlier helped fix an issue with the soda machine) came by my table and asked if everything was good. I explained that the sandwich was missing pepper jack and even showed him. He told me they "only put it on half," which was not true - I had already eaten half, and there was no pepper jack at all. He said he'd check with the cook, and I heard him confirm to the kitchen that it was indeed supposed to come with pepper jack. The disappointing part is that he never came back to update me, apologize, or offer a solution. I eventually had to go up to the counter myself, where he told me, "Oh yeah, they said they put it on half, but I told them that's wrong, so they'll make it right moving forward." That was it. No apology, no effort to make it right for me in the moment. I didn't expect a whole new sandwich, but at least acknowledging the mistake and showing some courtesy would have gone a long way. Instead, I was left feeling brushed off. I usually eat here often since it's close to work, but after this experience, it might be a while before I come back. I'll be honest the food seems better now, but I'm not entirely sure if it's better or everyone else got worse. The bottom line though is that compared to other restaurants, they're very good. It's not rocket science to make good fries, but you can tell a lot about a restaurant that serves bad fries. In this case they've been near perfect. I think to have better fries you'd need a chef in the back making 200 and hand picking 50 of the best for your plate. The turkey sandwich was great as well. Service is good, but they clearly have fewer customers now. So I'd expect service to be better. They get the food out quickly and honestly I've never seen them screw up an order. One thing I've learned, don't touch the iced tea. In the years I've come, there's always something wrong with the iced tea. They also maintain the restaurant. It's been open a while, by now some tables and chairs will have been damaged. I've yet to see anything damaged and nothing looks worn out. I was passing by Red Hill and impulsively decided to try out this location. We've had food from another Farmer Boys many years ago. I recall that my husband enjoyed the zucchini fries from there. During this visit, I ordered takeout to bring home. I ordered a regular cheeseburger and another burger loaded with more things for my son. I don't recall the names exactly. The burgers were decent and the meat patty was pretty good. We really enjoyed the fries and they were still good while we ate them at home. I had the chicken tenders and fries and enjoyed them. Next time, I will try to eat there. I think the food will be even better! There were lots of tables in the dining area and it looked like all kinds of work people were stopping by for lunch, including people from nearby offices in their fancy dress shirt and ties, as well as construction workers. The cashier looked lost when these issues were mentioned and done nothing to accommodate. I tried: Bacon Big Cheese Box (Hold Pickles, Sauce on the Side) $9.99 limited time price | Bacon Boy Box (Hold Pickles, Sauce on the Side) $11.99 limited time price | 4 pc Chicken Strips $8.79 | 4 pc Zucchini Sticks $6.99 | Barbecue Sauce and Ranch. My favorites were the Always Crispy Fries, Zucchini Sticks and Chicken Strips. Their limited-time box deals including Bacon Big Cheese and Bacon Boy are great value. It's available now through the beginning of July. Each box comes with Fries and a Drink. The burgers come on brioche buns. The difference is that the Bacon Big Cheese comes with one patty while the Bacon Boy comes with two. I'm not a pickle girl, sorry, so I said hold the pickles. These burgers are big! Make sure every bite is with the bacon because it packs flavor. The patty is juicy but a bit lacking in seasoning. Without the bacon, the burger would have been just very okay. They use fresh produce from local farmers whenever possible. I do hope they consider sustainability practices in the future, as I didn't spot any or see any mention of it on their website. They're located in the same lot as a hotel with a free parking lot and plenty of parking. Service was really friendly. The interior was way cuter than I thought it'd be, casual, modern rustic and farm-inspired, plenty of inside seating but no outdoor seating. This is a fast-casual spot where you order at the counter, seat yourself and the food is brought to you. This one doesn't have a drive-thru but some other ones do. On the way home, I remembered this location and we decided to pop in. The parking lot is a bit small since it shares space with a hotel, but there are some spots reserved for customers. We ordered our burgers, grabbed our number, and sat down to wait. While the food takes a little longer to come out, it's well worth it--this isn't fast food, but fresh food. The quality of the ingredients really stands out. The prices are higher than McDonald's, Burger King, or even In-N-Out, but the freshness and flavor make up for it. My wife loved her meal so much that she's already talking about coming back! The only thing I wish this location had is a drive-thru, but with the wait time for fresh food, maybe it's better they don't--otherwise, the line would be a 15-minute wait per car. The menu seemed pretty simple but after ordering I realized they do have a pretty extensive menu. I definitely can't wait to come back to explore their menu further. They do also have a breakfast menu that is served all day. Got 2 bacon boy burgers and the chicken tender combo with fries. Everything was incredibly fresh and hot. I do think dining in makes a difference but even then, I was pleasantly surprised. I am a sauce girl. They do have a lot of sauce options and don't charge extra. The last time I went a few months back was still decent but was going down hill, but tonight it sucked to spend $8 on a burger I couldn't eat. My fiancés and mom's burgers were also a bit too rare, but not as bad as mine, and they can do rare meat, but I can't, it makes me sick.
