Had an odd craving for Wienerschnitzel, it's been a few years since I've had it. No idea what changed but the basic dogs were essentially too salty to eat. The all beef Chicago dog was the only edible one I got. The chili was so salty that it hurts the back of the throat swallowing it. I thought it was just the chili so I rinsed it off, but the hotdog itself was also way too salty. I have no idea what happened to Wienerschnitzel and if this was a location issue. The restaurant seating was clean and appropriate for a fast food restaurant. But the sandwich was just three meatballs with two slices of cheese popped on a hot dog bun. The sauce quantity was adequate and the flavor typical of spaghetti sauce, but all in all, the sandwich was disappointing. The flavor was so-so, the cheese not melted, the bun not toasted. I came on Friday night before 7:00 and only the drive through was open. I never do the drive through but had no other choice. Evidently they are remodeling so that's why. When you do, the Tustin Der Wienerschnitzel is there for you. I want to say it's been there for decades at the same location on First Street. There's not a lot to say. It's fast-food hotdogs, but there're pretty good when the mood strikes. There are lots of choices. I tend to prefer the kraut dog and the Chicago dog. Other specialty dogs are offered, too, along with the decades old standbys like the mustard dog. The mustard dog is, just as the name suggests, a hotdog on a bun with mustard, and that's it. It would benefit from some diced white onions, but that's not an option, unfortunately. Pro-tip: add them when you get home! One thing to know is there upcharge for all beef hotdogs. I've always selected that option, but one of these days I'm going to get both kinds just to compare them. I don't mess with fries, etc. Let's be honest, most places' fries just aren't very good, especially for take out. read more

I stopped at theWienerschnitzel on 105 El Camino Real in Tustin. The place was nice and clean. It still has the old deco from when it was built. It is like going back in time to the old days! I felt young again! (I'm still young) :) The cashier was super friendly and, she made sure that my order was as ordered. I ordered: The Polish Sandwich Combo, with fries and, a diet soda. The sandwich had; pickles, sausage, yellow cheese, mustard in the sour dough bread. It had a wonderful combination of flavors and, the mustard gave it a unique taste.
