Really good hot dogs and chili cheese fries! Also, they make an amazing chocolate malt crunch shake. I do wish the prices were cheaper, but the food quality is excellent. Love how you can watch them make the food in front of you!

Pacific Coast Hot Dogs is a solid spot when you're craving classic comfort food. The hot dogs have a great snap and the toppings are generous, especially on favorites like the Tijuana Dog or chili cheese options. Lots of hot dog options to choose from. Everything is cooked fresh, portions are filling, and the prices feel fair for what you get. The vibe is casual and laid-back with outdoor seating, making it a great stop for a quick lunch or relaxed bite. Service is friendly and while it can get busy at peak times, the food is worth the wait. If you're in the area and want a dependable hot dog spot, this is the place

New York Dog and Root Beer Float. The dog didn't have the "snap" biting into it that I'm used to here.

This has been my go-to place for hot dogs for years because they had that "snap" when you bite into them that you get with the best street dogs in NYC. But today was very disappointing. I ordered a New York Dog. Eagerly bit into it... no snap!! More of a mushy bite. Another reviewer had made the same comment, and mentioned the new sign of "Hoffy" - it looks like they've changed what dogs they buy and are no longer the same. So sad... I won't be coming back as their location is out of my way and the dogs are no longer worth the drive.

I was in the area today and decided to give Pacific Coast Hot Dogs a chance. I ordered a PCH Dog which includes chili, mustard and onions with a Hoffy Dog. The dog had a great snap and flavor, I just felt the chili was on the bland side. I also got a side of chili cheese fries and the portion was huge and included a generous amount of shredded cheese. The chili on the fries tasted better than the chili on the dog but all in all it was a good experience. I would come back for sure.

This hot dog stand is one of those spots where you always pass by when you are in the area and if you are not a local like me, just always curious and never visit! Well it's been at least 2-3 years and on Wednesday was the day! I had a meeting in the area and needed to grab a bite to eat before my meeting. Should I go to Carls or Pacific Coast? PCHot Dogs definitely brings you back the 90s and simply love the nostalgia feeling. This spot has 8 different hot dog styles, classic fries with chili or cheese or both. So many different milk shakes and honestly felt guilty not taking my kids to enjoy a Thrifty Ice Cream. I am that type that orders a bunch of stuff and takes it home for the kids and hubby to enjoy. I got their chili cheese dog, bbq bacon dog and Tijuana dog. To me, bbq bacon dog was the ugliest looking hot dog but omg, it tasted sooooo good. Topped with a pickle spear was perfection. Instantly fell in love. The other dogs were delicious but that bbq bacon dog simply put me under a spell. Love how their hot dogs have a snap. The owner gave me a crispy taco to try and honestly that took me by surprise. It was a crunchy simple taco that hit the spot! Keep this hot dog stand alive everyone. It needs to stay here forever or least until I die. So 40 more years!

    Delicious

Just a really solid, no frills, chili dog... tremendous and simple just how it should be.

Today I had the chil cheese dog, and a Chicago dog. I got fries and a drink too. I love the snap when you bite into the dog. Th chili dog is my favorite here. The Chicago dog was tasty too. There is a Chicago hot dog chain that has better. I want to try thesecret menu next time. Service here is always good.

For those born, raised or transplanted to Southern California they need only look around during their morning drive to see the essence of "California Cool." Take your eyes off the gridlock for a second and you'll see a surfboard or snowboard strapped to the roof of somebody's car on a Monday morning or perhaps a 64 Impala bouncing down the street and you'll most definitely see everybody in a car wishing they were the only ones on the road. But you know if you are from Southern California there are few things that are more California than the hotdog. A chili dog to be more specific. Made for the Californian, it can be held with your right hand as your left hand guides your vehicle to the work building you'll most likely die in. But once you're done with your chili dog you'll be thinking "Hey, we all die someday anyway, who cares where it happens?" For this kind of clarity one needs to stop by Pacific Coast Hotdogs on Chapman Ave. Here at PCH Hotdogs time has been frozen, where the chili actually tastes like a summer California day. But don't worry my friends, although time has been frozen here their hotdogs never are and you can be assured they all have that "snap" hotdog lovers search for with their ears and mouth. Most of their hotdogs will have you smacking your lips but their iconic classic chili dog is the star. But what about the chili cheese fries you ask? Well, that's what your lap was made for. The chili cheese fries sits perfectly on your lap for you to enjoy in between bites of your chili dog on your drive to work. If you're more enlightened you might enjoy their outdoor seating area to enjoy your meal but for me, I'll keep it Californian for now. Stay curious and observant my friends....

Can't get enough of their dogs and chili cheese fries, it's diner/quick service vibes in the best way. I don't know what kind of dogs they use but the SNAP is epic. All the dogs are good, we've come here once every few weeks since our first time. A hidden gem on Chapman !

I've passed this spot so many times so figured I'd finally check it out. I got the Tijuana dog, it was pretty decent - the actual hot dog itself was good but didn't care for the toppings as much as I thought I would. You are paying a premium for a hotdog ($7 per regular sized hot dog) - I do think because of that reason I won't be back but it gives off a nostalgic/retro type vibe by coming here. Worth checking out, but one visit was good enough for me.

Only tried their Tijuana Dog and was pleasantly surprised ... didn't expect much from this tiny spot but it was really good.. great flavor .. will try the chilli next.. service was quick and easy..

HECK YEAH!!! When you are in the mood for American food there's no better treat than a good ole hot dog. This is a really nostalgic roadside stand it's got cute seating under a circus tent canopy this adds to the fun of having a great hot dog and a coke. Walk up to the window and order from the friendly staff. They give you a number and call it over the PA when your order is ready. I got the chili dog with cheese and dude it was excellent. This is one meaty hot dog and the chili is rich and tasty. You can't go wrong T Pacific Coast Hot Dogs

Pacific Coast Hot Dogs is hands-down my favorite hot dog joint--anywhere. I've had hot dogs from iconic stands across the country, including the legendary Pink's in LA, and none of them come close to the quality, flavor, and comfort you'll find at PCH. Their Chicago Dog is my go-to: packed with flavor, loaded with all the right toppings, and served in a way that honors the original--even if it's not on a poppy seed bun or neon green relish, it just works. The Chili Cheese Dog is a close second--messy, satisfying, and made with their excellent, bean-free chili that hits all the right notes. Let's talk fries: crispy, golden perfection every single time. Always served hot, never soggy, and they pair beautifully with chili and cheese if you're going full comfort food mode. The patio is cozy and welcoming--a great place to relax and enjoy your food--and the staff couldn't be nicer. Friendly, fast, and genuinely invested in the experience. They prepare each dog to order right in front of you, and you can tell they care about getting it right. Prices are more than fair for what you get. And if you're a fan of East Coast-style dogs, do yourself a favor and try the Guadalajara Dog. It's a bacon-wrapped ripper in disguise--a Jersey-style delight in Southern California. Bottom line: PCH is a gem. I've been coming here for over a decade and it's still my favorite. If you love hot dogs, this place should be on your must-visit list.

Hi! Our hot dogs are all beef hotdogs!

    Do they serve veggie dogs?

    Do they accept debit?

    Yes they do.

👋 Phone orders? If so, do you have to wait in the long line still?

Yes we do! And apply pay

What kind of meat are the hot dogs?

Our hot dogs are all beef!

The carnitas themselves are the star--tender, juicy pork that's been slow-cooked to perfection with that signature crispy edge on some pieces, delivering rich, savory flavor without being overly greasy. It's seasoned just right, with a nice balance of porky goodness and subtle spices that let the meat shine. Wrapped in a large, fresh flour tortilla (they make their own in-house, which always helps), it's stuffed generously with the classics: fluffy Mexican rice, creamy refried or whole beans (depending on your preference, but both work great), chopped onions, cilantro, and a solid dose of salsa. I went with their green salsa for a bright, tangy kick that cuts through the richness perfectly, plus a dollop of sour cream and cheese for that creamy melt. No skimping on portions here--it's hearty and filling, easily a meal that satisfies for hours. At around $10 (give or take, based on current pricing), it's a great value in the area. The burrito holds together well without falling apart mid-bite, and the overall balance of textures--tender meat, soft rice/beans, crisp onions--makes every mouthful enjoyable. If you're in the mood for classic carnitas done right in a casual, bakery-taqueria spot with great salsas and a friendly vibe, this one's definitely worth grabbing. I'd rate it 4.5 out of 5--only docking half a point because it's not reinventing the wheel, but it's executing the traditional style exceptionally well. Highly recommend if you're near 728 N Tustin St in Orange! Pair it with an horchata, yum
