Wow this is definitely one of the best carne burritos I've ever had. The beef is so flavorful, the beans are not dry and also has lots of flavors, and the tortillas was perfectly soft. The salsa was also perfectly flavored with some spiciness. I was eating while driving, and I finished the whole thing without even noticing. I wish I went back and got an extra one but I was in a hurry. I'll definitely go back when I'm in the area. And the staff who was taking order was very friendly.

Can you say BOOKED and BUSY!!!! That is the epitome of TACOS LOS REYES!!!!There were so many party trays of asada, carnitas, beans, rice and let's not forget the pints of red and green salsa- with tortilla chips going out the door as fast as the orders were being taken !! The line was long but it was worth the wait!!! This is what authentic Mexican food is all about- Today's order- carne asada burrito with tomatoes- each burrito comes with beans, onions, cheese, cilantro and it is nicely packed and overflowing with each ingredient!!! Each order comes with a side of chips and salsa!!! Great place to go if you have a love for Mexican food!!

First and foremost the food was delicious and fresh I ordered the carne asada burrito and when I asked if the could add jalapeños inside the burrito without hesitation the lovely attendant said yes. Just as I was about sit down the waitress was already coming with my drink and chips Great food and great service

The cabeza tacos are FIRE!!! You know the food is good here because the line went out the door. It went quickly though. The restaurant is small but there's a lot of seating. Couldn't get any so took it to go. Service was fast for how busy it was 10 minutes. Because it's a small busy restaurant it can feel claustrophobic. The food is worth it though! Some taco places charge extra for cabeza but all the tacos are the same price. Salsa, food, service 10/10. They call the order in Spanish but it's good thing I know enough to know my order haha. I like how you can see the them making your food. Parking is free but it's pack because it shares with other businesses

This place is a must try small business. It was recommended by a friend and I went after a baseball game for that late night taco craving. It was absolutely delicious. The service was great and the line went quick. We ordered the red enchilada combination, a wet burrito de asada and an order of tacos: al pastor, chorizo and asada. The al pastor was absolutely tasty and the all hit the spot. It was very busy around 9pm on a Saturday but we still found a table. They serve complimentary chips and salsa with chiles and carrots. I will definitely come back and try more menu items.

7 bucks! Two fantastic breakfast tacos, chips and salsa! The place was spotless, service was great and food was delicious!

We'd go back. We have some suggestions. Loved to pork tacos. Rice needed some help. Salsa was a bit spicy for us white girls. We'd definitely go back! Really good carnitas tacos.

2 tacos, one soft, one fried.

Does this restaurant offer Taco Tuesday deals? If so, which types will be discounted and what are the prices for each? Thank you and see you soon.

No taco Tuesday deals but they usually have a daily special. Tacos are $2.25 but they are the regular tortilla (2) and they stuff it with plenty of meat. Carnitas are really good

Did they change the way they make their beans?

I don't believe so. The frijoles taste the same: delicious and traditional with lard.

They moved or closed didn't they? We go for the carnitas went a while back and they were no longer there. Don't where they moved to.

They r still at same location, they had closed due to a kitchen fire but r now open and better then ever..

Can you please update your contact ph#? The one listed seems to be disconnected.

Then we unexpectedly came across this super popular restaurant! The crowd alone caught our attention, so we decided to give it a try -- and I'm glad we did. Atmosphere: The moment we walked in, the vibe immediately stood out. It has a charming vintage feel, with beautiful natural sunlight pouring in, making the whole space warm and cozy. Perfect for a relaxing weekend brunch or a casual meal with family and kids. Here are the dishes we highly recommend: Guacamole & Chips Absolutely addictive. The guacamole was fresh, creamy, and packed with flavor. We couldn't stop eating it. Steak Plate The steak was cooked perfectly tender, and the juicy corn underneath soaked up all the delicious flavors. Every bite felt satisfying. Pulled Pork Tacos Super authentic Mexican-style tacos with rich layers of flavor. The combination of refried beans and avocado sauce made them even better. A few small notes: The restaurant was extremely busy, so the staff seemed a little overwhelmed at times. Service was okay overall, but understandable considering how packed it was. Coffee lovers: Their coffee leaned a bit on the sweeter side for us, so if you prefer less sweetness, it's worth mentioning when ordering. Overall, such a fun and lively brunch spot in Old Towne OC. Definitely worth trying if you're in the area!

The carnitas themselves are the star--tender, juicy pork that's been slow-cooked to perfection with that signature crispy edge on some pieces, delivering rich, savory flavor without being overly greasy. It's seasoned just right, with a nice balance of porky goodness and subtle spices that let the meat shine. Wrapped in a large, fresh flour tortilla (they make their own in-house, which always helps), it's stuffed generously with the classics: fluffy Mexican rice, creamy refried or whole beans (depending on your preference, but both work great), chopped onions, cilantro, and a solid dose of salsa. I went with their green salsa for a bright, tangy kick that cuts through the richness perfectly, plus a dollop of sour cream and cheese for that creamy melt. No skimping on portions here--it's hearty and filling, easily a meal that satisfies for hours. At around $10 (give or take, based on current pricing), it's a great value in the area. The burrito holds together well without falling apart mid-bite, and the overall balance of textures--tender meat, soft rice/beans, crisp onions--makes every mouthful enjoyable. If you're in the mood for classic carnitas done right in a casual, bakery-taqueria spot with great salsas and a friendly vibe, this one's definitely worth grabbing. I'd rate it 4.5 out of 5--only docking half a point because it's not reinventing the wheel, but it's executing the traditional style exceptionally well. For dessert, I had the arroz con leche, and it was amazing. It was the perfect balance of sweetness and comfort, especially after an emotional day. The ambiance truly stood out. The hacienda-style patio with trees created such a beautiful and peaceful atmosphere. The Spanish-style architecture inside, along with the fountain, made the whole experience feel warm and inviting.
