We just went there for the first time. We loved the whole ambience. The eclectic mix of chairs and tables. The lighting is really cool. Now for the food. It was excellent! We loved everything we ordered. The fresh beet salad was so fresh. It was certainly farm fresh and perfectly paired with the goat cheese. Service was attentive and always came when we needed something. It was a great evening with great farm fresh food. Worth the money. read more

This is a new restaurant that is fantastic. I'd say 75% of its menu is gluten free which is terrific for those with celiac disease. I had the Braised Short Ribs and my husband had the Pork Chop -- both were excellent. The restaurant specializes in locally sourced food including their meats. They change their menu about every 9 days -- removing some items and adding others depending on the availability of the food. If you order a lot of food (like us), your bill will be higher but you can eat here for a reasonable amount if you watch what you're ordering. Highly recommend. read more

The food was ok. Good initiative but not great. Had a pie for dessert need better crust.

I have been to over 130 restaurants in the Raleigh-Durham area and honestly, I place Farm Table in the top 5. Fantastic entries; huge portions; and a great ambiance. This is a hidden gem next to the Gatehouse Tavern. read more

Had dinner for the first time at Farm Table last night. Our service was excellent. Our food was terrific. We had the Caesar Salad, which presentation wise did not inspire; however, the flavor was fantastic. We had the ribeye and halibut as entree's. The halibut was great! I would highly recommend it. The ribeye was good but not exceptional. We prefer a bit more flavor. Definitely will return! Would recommend! Look forward to trying it again! read more

Delicious, local ingredients. The food is the star! Great atmosphere (a little loud, so be prepared for that). They do take reservations. Robust wine list. Friendly wait staff. read more

I've been here just a few times, not because the food or service was lacking, but the acoustics in the dining room are awful. The place is just too loud for me to enjoy dining here. read more

I just recently ate at this restaurant and was very pleased with the service and the quality of the food. We received are food in a timely matter and got exactly what we expected, fresh and tasty. We would defiantly recommend Farm Table to anyone who asked read more

Wonderful meal, service and ambiance! The braised short ribs were succulent and amazing! And my better half who is a salmon connoisseur, absolutely loved the salmon. We shared the lentil appetizer which was warm and earthy. Secret: we ate at the bar and Suzy is fantastic. Well done, Farm Table. read more

The food at the Farm Table tastes great. We had the Salmon and Short Rib, both were cooked perfectly and the service was great. Some of the prices were out of line for what you got. $9 for a house salad and $9 for a zucchini wedge is a bit much. The experience was good but when the appetizers are $9 plus, you should at least have some bread with your meal and perfect sweet tea. Those are a must in the south. read more

Love the outdoor seating area. The food was very good and fresh, but a little pricey. They have both smaller and larger portion meals. The price range of larger portion meals was about $18-$24 or so. I got a "large" portion meal (chicken, greens, and potatoes) which seemed just right in size to me- not really "large" or too much at all, and I left feeling pleasantly full but not stuffed. The food was very good and cooked perfectly. Definitely quality over quantity. It seems like a good place to go with friends or to take out of town guests etc, or if you just want to try something new. I didn't see the kids' menu but if I were taking my kids I would make sure it had some good kid-friendly basics for them before going. Service was good. read more

Great place for a weekly night out. Food is tasty and served hot. The flavors are well developed. The menu changes with the seasons. Like the short ribs, scallops and seared tuna. read more

The food and the service were good. The only concern was the price, the price needs to be lowered to fit the portions. My parents and I expected larger portions according to the price. Because of this we will not be returning. read more

My husband and I went there for the first time tonight and can't wait to go back again. We were in the mood for seafood. We shared the beet salad and stuffed mushrooms. I never really had beets before but the salad intrigued me because it had sweet potatoes, fig preservers, goat cheese and pistachios. I love all of these.ingredients. The beet salad was delicious and I would order it again. The stuffed mushrooms were huge and also delicious. My husband ordered the Cioppino (fisherman's stew) and I ordered the blackened salmon. Everything was delicious. The beer and wine menu was also great. We had no problem choosing great craft beer and wine. For dessert we had bourbon pecan pie and lemon chess pie. These may seem a simple choice but these did not disappoint. They were so delicious and not heavy. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

Delicious food, great surroundings, and attentive staff make for a great experience.

Most discussing overpriced place to eat. The atmosphere is cool, but not worth dropping a penny at. Waitress was rude when I chose not to eat my meal. read more

If you love chain restaurants, this won't be your place. If you value and appreciate farm-to-table cuisine as well as supporting local farmers.....you will love Farm Table. The menu is creative and like nothing you will find at any other restaurant. read more

Went to Farmtable with a friend and our families two days before Thanksgiving. The place was rather full but the service was very good anyway. The food was very tasty, delicious actually, and definitely worth the money. I will definitely go there again next time I pass by. read more

Three people in our party, and every meal was horrible. Pork chop tough, hard to cut and chew. Sauce with scallops had a perfume taste. Do not mind paying for a good meal, but this was expensive and awful. Service was good. read more

Have never had a bad meal here! He wait staff is great! It's nice having a place like this so close to us. Love the fact that they started their own garden. My sons absolutely love the bone marrow!! read more

We came without a reservation. They did not have a table for us but we happily sat at the bar. Our plan was to have dinner. I ordered a Tanguray and tonic my husband ordered a beer. For starter we ordered the heirloom tomato salad to share. About half way through it we realized a main ingredient was missing. No pickled onions. When we pointed it out to the bar staff they got us a side order of the onions to add. I also ordered another T and Tonic. The bartender asked if she could reuse my glass??? I was a bit taken aback. I have never been asked that before. I hesitated but said ok hesitating, wondering what kind of 2nd drink I would get. I got exactly what I was afraid of. She reused my ice. Not sure if she even added any new , fresh ice. Not even a lime.Because my old ice melted so quickly and watered the drink down. I couldn't even tell if there was any alcohol in it. Had to ask for some more gin. Obviously disappointed. We decided not to eat dinner. read more

Four of us dined in on a Monday nite. 3 ordered the codfish special and it arrived with a distasteful ammonia odor and taste. Instead of offering to replace the server kept insisting the fish was fresh and that everyone had been eating it all day. We asked her to have the chef check it. She aims the chef was busy but would be put. After some time, the chef did come to our table. He at least apologized that we weren't satisfied with the dish but also continued to insist the fish was fresh, flown in the day before, served to 30 people at lunch etc. We asked if he had smelled the fish and he said he hadn't! We were so amazed at the utter lack of customer concern. Finally the chef offered a substitution and we all ordered the chicken with collard greens. The collards were drenched in vinegar and the chicken was boring. Incidentally the check arrived with no offer of compensation. We paid and tipped in full but will never return. Horrible. read more

Took our family to Farm Table and attended on a Tuesday. Surprisingly the place was packed! The hostess was kind and clued us in on the wait, but before we knew it we had a booth. The décor was lovely and they had a covered patio which we would definitely take advantage of on another occasion. Especially since the noise level was a bit loud for our taste. The food that other tables were receiving looked interesting and I loved the farm to table concept. I also like the fact they will have a seasonal menu, which will keep us coming back to find out what new varieties they will have. We had the Charcuterie platter and was a great way to begin the meal, not too heavy and left room for more. The sea bass I had with local vegetables was light and flavorful. My daughter had the oven baked chicken and raved about it. The service was great and the server was very attentive to our needs. I will definitely return with my husband and family again! read more

We went to Farm table tonight to celebrate my sons and his girlfriend's birthday; we had heard it was very good. We loved the atmosphere, disappointed in the rest. The dinner started with 2 out of the 6 meals coming out about 10 minutes before the rest. One of our party ordered pork chops and they were all bone and fat. The manager did come out for that and ask her if she wanted something else but that was the last time we saw the manager. The worst of it, is that my sons girlfriend is a celiac, not just gluten intolerant, but a true celiac, I called a week or so before to be sure they could accommodate her and was assured they could. After a few bites she sent it back and said it tasted funny and ended up getting sick in the bathroom. We informed the waitress and the manager never came out and checked on her, never apologized, nothing. My son talked to the chef and he basically said that he didn't do anything wrong, again no apology or anything. We completely understand things happen, but the manager should have come to check on her, and personally apologize, the chef never did. The owner was there as well and he didn't come to the table either, that sets the tone of the whole restaurant. The management should have at least ACTED like they cared they got a girl sick. So very disappointed. And there was no place for me to write them directly to let them know how disappointed we were. read more

WE dined at this restaurant in the upscale neighborhood because it seemed to combine the idea of upscale with down-to-earth. I got the lamb chops with small splash of sweet potato puree the chops sat on--$14. Two very small lamb chops--about a bite and one-half each that tasted nice and one big fat one that I saved to last. It proved to be big and fat because it was all fat and sinew, absolutely inedible, not able to be cut, much less eaten; the chef/cook should have looked at it and declared it unfit for either cooking or offering to the farm dog or cat. I was offered a dessert as a remedy. I had barely eaten anything and their solution was dessert. The waitress was nice; the food substantially overpriced--a small ramekin of macaroni and local gruyere cheese and "in-house cured bacon" was $14. The wife's small serving of Beef short ribs were $18 and came with three large chunks of raw broccoli--the short ribs could have been a small serving of pot roast.... Two small drinks costing $8 each brought the meal to almost $52 before tip. Absent taking a dessert, there were no offers to remedy for the poor quality of meal. The waitress was nice and capable. read more
