I went to this salon for a full set. Overall the staff was very friendly and salon was clean. Although there are great things about the salon; I wouldn't say I'm 100% pleased with my set. I asked for a square ombre and the overall color turned out great. But the tech who did my nails went way too rough with the file and cut two of my fingers. After getting home and washing my hands, there was still a lot of dried acrylic on my fingers that took a while to scrub off. I think if less acrylic product had been used, that would have given me a better result so my square wouldn't have been so rounded looking. I think for the amount of money spent in a salon I should not have cuts and acrylic on my hands when my services are complete. Very nice staff, but I will be exploring other options for a nail salon. read more

I went in to get my nails done for my daughter's wedding wanting something extra special. I showed Kim a photo of a beautiful ombre white to pink shimmer. It took 3.5 hours. A tech was so rough that my cuticles and are now so red, swollen and sore it is painful to wash my hands. Kim then proceeded to file my beautiful nails that I had been growing out for weeks down to nubs painted them plain pink and said she was done. Went in for dip and a pedicure. Left with acrylic gel manicure and a horrible rash (bacterial infection) on my legs. They initially started my dip while I was getting my pedicure. The massage chair made my nails look sloppy but I was assured she would fix them at the chair. After she finished one hand I asked her to take them off because they looked so sloppy. The dip was all over my fingers and didn't cover a single full nail. Another woman said she would redo them for me and then ended up telling me my nails were too short for dip. The only reason they were short was because how much they were filed down so much. She put tips on and took it upon herself to start acrylic. The acrylic is also all over my fingers and the gel is a horrible coat. In addition to the two sets of sloppy nails I ended up with a painful rash all over my legs from the pedicure. Saw that this place had some good reviews so I went in for a pedicure. I've never had such a fast, rushed pedicure in my life. They were not busy and I was rushed through like 20 people were waiting. Barely had my feet soak at all and hardly scrubbed the bottom of my feet. Didn't notice until I had left that the lady only did ONE coat of nail polish when the standard is two coats. Terrible. So glad I'm graduating because I will never have to return to this place. My nails are so beyond thick. Not even just the thickness that bothers me, there's acrylic on my skin, mainly I have picked off the remainder because it had begun to hurt. She was rushing me out of the nail salon and just slapping on acrylic. This salon changed ownership a little under a year ago. It is amazing what the owner, Cindy, has accomplished in that time. All of the staff is new. They are all experienced but new for the salon. The staff is extremely friendly and will all smile and say "Hi" as they walk past you. Cindy is terrific and does an incredible job of making sure all of her clients leave fully satisfied. The prices are reasonable. I suggest making an appointment as sometimes the salon is very busy and you may wait a bit without one. read more

Still in search of the perfect nail salon in West Chester. This place was almost passable as a quick stop option, nothing to write home about. However I will absolutely never return when it comes to how they charged me. I had 7 nails that still had Gel (very chipped) on them. I got a spa pedicure and regular manicure. They advertise $35.00 for a mani/pedi. While I had my feet done they soaked off my gel polish, barely needed to scrape it off after and proceeded with the manicure. At the end they charged an extra 5.00 for the gel removal. I think that's absolutely ludicrous! If I had had regular polish on they would have used the same amount of acetone to take it off. I've been to plenty of salons that do not charge for gel polish removal when you are getting a manicure! Insane! read more

They a multitude of colors to choose from between gel and dip powder. I got a full set with dip powder with a design. Came out good and no complaints. Just had an awful experience -- yet again (been to this salon twice) at Fancy Nails. I was burned with the machine several times during my dip "manicure" -- which I wouldn't called it a manicure. Overall my nails are sloppily done, there is messy dip powder all over my finger tips, my nails are bumpy, and the the nail tech kept blaming me b/c she said I was too sensitive to the burning and because I never had dip before (been doing dip for like 5+ years). Only stopped in, in a pinch b/c my regular salon was booked. Won't make that mistake again. Go somewhere else. read more

My favorite nail salon in the west Chester area! The owner is so personable and they really take their time with your nails. They care about what you want and their dip powder is phenomenal. I've gone to other salons where they put way too much on and it looks so fake. This is natural and sleek. These are also my real nails, my nails have been growing like weeds since I've been using their dip powder! This is a very clean and well kept salon. I love the fact that they are open on Sundays which is convenient for me and my schedule. I received the pedicure and gel manicure. You have the option of having your nails started while receiving your pedicure or after. I like the option. I do not like to feel rushed or like I can't enjoy one thing at a time. They are up to date in all the latest nail trends from chromes to dipping powders. They do have one person do your feet and another person do your manicure. I personally like to have one person do my hands and feet due to the consistency...but it's been okay. Everyone is polite and friendly. I use to travel to Philadelphia for my nails, but this is the second best thing. I did have one incident where I got a gel manicure and it chipped the following day. I didn't get in the next day, but I came in within a few days. I let the owner know that my nails chipped the next day, but I was unable to get in. She was very offended. I believe it was because other customers were there. I was very quiet and polite about it, but I felt like she was more concern with the other customers hearing something that is quite normal. It made me look like an aggressor because she kept repeating that I should have come in, but I am a new mom and this is really just a treat. Which she knows because we've had very friendly conversations. I was not asking for a discount, but I thought she should know being that she suggested this gel polish (which isn't opi or cnd my go tos). My most recent visit was not as bubbly as before, but it was still pleasant. I would still recommend this place...just be ready for awkward tension if you point out something wrong. read more

This place is the worst do NOT go here. I would give this place 0 stars if I could seriously. I got my nails done 5 days ago and I've have to go back twice since then!!! I went back the first time because my real nails weren't even attached to the tip and there was a HAIR in the polish of my one nail. Their way of fixing my nails was redoing 2 of them by repainting them. (Glad about that for the one with a hair in it but what about the ones with my real nail not attached). Very messy work. I left with glue all over my nails the first time and acrylic all over my fingers and under my nails. Literally went back today because 2 of my nails have fallen off and it hasn't even been a week!!!! (My real nail was barely attached to those nails) I asked if she could just redo those ones for me because thats on them. They of course don't give refunds so I was polite and just asked them to redo them. She said she would but it would cost money!!! Like I'm sorry miss but why am I paying for your mistake? There's no way I'd ever make a customer pay for a mistake I made. Customer service is terrible. They tried to say it's all my fault by saying my natural nails are too long the first time I went back and then said they were too short the second time I went back. Like make up your mind!!!! My nails weren't very long but if they needed them shorter why can't they cut them? Then she's gonna say that the length of the acrylic nails are too long. Since when are 1-2 cm passed my real nail long cause I've gotten them so much longer before. I have come to this nail salon for about a year now and I really liked them at first. However when things get busy, they lack good customer service. I used to come in the afternoon during the week, but recently I started coming on weekends and they are very impatient and unorganized when it becomes busy. Even if you have an appointment, I've still waited up to 20 minutes past my scheduled time and they took someone with a later appointment time ahead of me. Majority of the nail technicians express obvious favoritism towards certain people, and they will get really rude with you if you don't keep your hands a certain way or move to a different chair fast enough. They also will be in the middle of doing your nails and just leave you sitting there to do someone else's hands, and this is even on regular non-busy days. Yesterday one of the technicians left me sitting under the UV light for nearly ten minutes. I don't think that is safe for the hands in the slightest. She also was very persistent in trying to get me to get acrylic because I wanted dip powder and it takes longer. What kind of nail technician tells someone to get something less healthy for your nails just for convenience of time?They are always either understaffed, overscheduled with appointments, or both. Due to these reasons, I am disappointed and will not be returning. read more

Amazing pink and white gel nails! The real deal, not the fake pink/white powder other salons try to use, the actual sculpting gel cured under UV lights. They do a beautiful job. Pedicure was very nice as well. Make sure you take CASH for tip!
