My old nail salon closed so I decided to go to this one while visiting my family. It was recommended by my friend who also goes here. At first I was weary about the low reviews but whatever I trust my friend. I was greeted immediately and it wasn't busy so I sat down at the first person that could do my nails. He was probably the only man at the nail salon and never had a guy do my nails before but I'll give it a try! I chose my color and wanted a gel manicure. He was meticulous and did what I asked (minimal cuticle cut and round shape). He was friendly and worked efficiently (none of the extra stuff to charge me more which I really hate about nail salons). I got a gel acrylic full set. The paint chipped off the next day. The clear coating was spotty. Lastly, my nail broke 2 days later....By the end of the week all the nails popped off. My daily activities aren't rough on my hands so there was no excuse for them to come off so easily. I tipped them $20......and got terrible quality.......I wouldn't recommend coming here. read more

I've been going here for a while, and since new ownership a little over a year ago, the place is amazing. The most hopeful and friendly staff I've dealt with. Everyone is happy and the quality of their work shows. I primarily get manicures, and have tried many of the technicians, I do have to say my favorites are still Jen and Lilly. I can't tell you how tortured I was sitting in a chair as a woman gave me a pedicure from Hell... then she talked me into dip nail- I wanted a gel manicure. She made small boulders on my nails, my natural nails are ruined. I was crying my nails were so awful. Her husband came over and basically grinder/filed off most of it. I was there at least an extra hour. They still look like crap and I'm completely embarrassed. I was hesitant to go here. Not following my first mind I went after work and immediately regretted it. I was past off to an older gentleman who didn't seem to have very much skill. I came for a pedicure and a manicure. I left with my feet washed and no polish(no polish was my request). I asked for my nails to be trimmed down and I was told that couldn't be I had to demand it. I came in while 2 young lady's were being serviced and I was finished before them both. My feet weren't scrubbed cuticles weren't cut. I was quoted a price of $75 for a pedicure and manicure. I declined when I noticed the basics weren't being done. I decided not to get a manicure and ask that my toes not be painted. I knew I would be going elsewhere. I wouldn't recommend this place. I paid $30 for my feet to be cleaned. I clearly was upset and they hadn't done much of anything and still charged for a full pedicure. Spa pedicure is not worth the money!! Products used we're cheap. I went in my birthday weekend to get a nice relaxing spa pedicure. The product they used smell good but that was about it. The scrub was a very cheap scrub after she ran her hands over my legs a few times there was no more scrubbiness left for exfoliation, and the lotion was so thin it did not moisturize my feet at all after my pedicure I still have dry skin and dry spots on my feet and toes. Also, the woman who did my nails was paying attention to everything else going on in the salon and kept stopping to point to give direction and talk to other people making less time for my massage and a less relaxing/enjoyable experience for me. I would not go there again and I would not recommend this place to anybody. I've had better pedicures at other places and they were way cheaper. Oh I also had to re file all of my toenails because they were crooked. Overall I wish I would have saved my 52 bucks and went elsewhere. read more

My daughters nail lady moved and we went to see her new salon. The drive was 1 1/2 hours. We drove from Edgewood md. I tell you it was well worth it. The place was so beautiful. The people made you feel right at home the minute you walked in the door. Jenn does such a great job, her art of nails is nothing more then amazing. If you like new looks, stylistnails and bling! Jenn is your girl. I can't say enough about her! Then there is Hannah, well I felt really bad for her at first, cause my nails were a HOT MESS, I waited too long, ripped them all off. I had my first pedicure at Deluxe Nails and won't go there again. It was highly recommended to me by a friend. The salon seemed to be clean and the operator was polite and efficient. It didn't seem that the operator had removed the old nail polish sufficiently before putting on the new. When mentioned that s/he said that it was OK. They looked fine when I went under the drier. They dried for 10-15 minutes and then I kept the flip-flops that they'd given me on for another 45 minutes to make sure the polish was set. Afterwards I put my shoes on and when I took them off a few hours later the polish on the two big toes was totally smudged and unsightly, to the point where it will have to be redone. I called the salon and told them that I wanted half my money back. They said they'd redo it and give me a credit. The point is that I don't have time to take another hour to have something done that should have been done correctly in the first place and I also don't want a credit because I will never go back to this salon. The person I talked to said that this often happens and I should have worn flip-flops for the day. REALLY? No one told me that. I find it difficult to believe that this was done properly. DO NOT GO HERE. I got a pink and white gel refill and it looks like a child did it. Immediately the tech tried to talk me out of the gel, but I said that's what I wanted. She wanted me to get shellac. One of my nails is deformed and doesn't grow properly so I could not get that. It seemed like that ticked her off. Also, she kept knicking me with the buffer; I winced and when I did, she told me I let me nails grow out too much. That has nothing to do with her hurting me. Worst of all, you can see the lines from my previous grown out manicure through the pink polish. I have never had worse service in my life at a salon. Almost every nail has an imperfection on it. The white tips are jagged and there's little bumps all over. I will never go here again. So utterly disappointed!! read more

Deluxe Nails is really nice, and the pedicure chairs are divine! BUT I had a terrible experience after a friend told me to go here and ask for Annie, which I completely forgot to do. Instead, Tina worked with me. She was rude from the start, but escalated once my coffee flew off the chair table from the vibrations of the chair. I felt terrible! I apologized, told her I would get up to clean it...She stared at me, rolled her eyes, did not respond and got up to clean it up. When she came back, I apologized again. And would you believe, she ignored me!? So, I thought perhaps she didn't understand me. This was cleared up when I found out she spoke clear English. A moment later, Annie, who saw how terrible Tina was to me, told me not to worry and that it was no problem at all. After Tina finished what was the worst pedicure I have endured (she nipped the skin around my cuticles on every toe... perhaps because she was still mad about the coffee???), we went over to the manicure station. I considered asking for someone else, but thought maybe she would get over it once she had to be face to face with me. That didn't happen. She barked orders, wouldn't look me in the eye, didn't thank me when I tipped her, nor when she sat me down to dry. Annie, who happened to be the manager on duty, came over to apologize again once I was finished!!! This is a place we go to relax and unwind, and I left there feeling worse than before I came in!!!! I recommend this place ONLY if you SEE ANNIE. AVOID TINA! Do not give her your business!! She has terrible manners for someone who works off of tips! What a shame. read more

Just had one of the best pedicures ever! I upgraded to the deluxe ($40 instead of $35) and it was heavenly! The place is really nice & is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. Nails are done up front and pedicures are done in the back. I saw a couple of rooms that were for waxing. There were plenty of comfy massaging chairs and no waiting. They have TVs hanging on each wall with Starz movies playing. I definitely recommend Deluxe Nails! read more

I had been to Deluxe Nails one time previously for a pedicure which was average. I went today to have a gel manicure removed and then had a regular manicure. This was THE WORST manicure I have ever received. My nails are all rough, the polish is uneven and there is even a fleck of something embedded in the polish on one of my nails. The tech pushed me to have a brow wax which I politely declined (am SO glad I did... at least the nail polish can easily be removed). My nails look worse than they do when I do them myself. I usually never write review but I was so seriously upset that I felt the need to right this. I've been going here for years prices are fair and quality of service typically superb until I walked in today. I usually just get a wax - eyebrows and upper lip. When I asked ( I was a walk in ) I waited a short bit of time before a woman rushed me into the back where she proceeded to rush through my wax ... Not only did she rush through but she got wax all over my face ripped the wax off forcefully and then proceeded to clean my face with some sort of alcohol/astringent which burned horribly - not lotion or aloe but ALCOHOL?! When she handed me the mirror I was horrified!!! She literally trimmed my eyebrows into solid caterpillars and didn't clean up the lining- she didn't shape them and left random hairs without I got plucked all over!! I left in tears with my face burning with weird not finished eyebrows. Lucky for me i had another appointment right after - I was getting my hair done and my stylist took pity and fixed my eyebrows. She had to take so much off to give a shape to what was previously done but they now look somewhat normal. I would seriously rethink getting waxed here I wish I could give a name of the woman who did this to me but that wouldn't be fair!!!! read more

This salon is very nice and also very clean. They're pretty friendly and I've had my nails , done here and I love it they do great on nail but my pedicure was less then satisfactory. Actually was the worst pedicure I've ever had. The whole thing from start to finish MAYBE lasted 20 minutes. Hardly rubbed, hurt me numerous times. Just not a good job at all and so short. I used to go here and have the owner Julie do my nails, but they talk to each other in their language and sometimes you feel like they are talking about you or other customers. I also called one time as I was driving there in the snow, to say I was going to be 5 mins late and the Julie told me that someone else will have to do my nails as she has to go pick up her kids. Really??? I am going to be 5 mins late and she was supposed to do my nails for an hour appt?? How the heck. They gave the worst pedicure I have ever received! They did not clean under or on the sides of the nail and did not cut out the ingrown sides on the big toes properly even after I asked her to. Personally, I could do a better pedicure. They don't paint the full nail and they get paint on your skin that they don't clean as they go. The manicure was below average as well. It took a total of nine minutes. Worst $37 ever spent. I would not recommend going here. If I could give them no stars, I would do so. read more

TERRIBLE!!! Would rate this "Deluxe" salon a zero star if possible .. drove 45 min out of the way to come here because my normal salon was busy so me and my sister thought we wound give this place a try. Started off great, we were immediately greeted and seated. Then the horrors began.. My nail tech was a man who in my opinion is not qualified at all to be doing nails. The nail tech started out very nice but progressively got rough and rude as the process started. I wanted long nails which seemed to annoy him as he made smart comments the entire time. He absolutely did NOT know how to apply the acrylic. He put it on so thick my nails actually started to hurt. I told him I wanted coffin shape before he even started, he decided to make them coffin after piling half of the acrylic powder onto them making them too thick to angle. I even told him there is way too much acrylic but he must've heard "apply more" . He used nail clippers to cut the corners and they weren't working because of how thick the acrylic was so he started twisting the clippers which practically ripped my real nail up!!! I started to bleed very bad and the man got frustrated making a loud huffing sound and slammed the clippers down. He completely ignored the blood gushing out of my finger until he seen I was in pain, he then put some type of oil on the cut and proceeded to file EXACTLY where I had been cut??? OUCH. I was not moving at all and this man LITERALLY smacked my hand hard with the nail file and told me to stop moving? He was extremely rough with my hands picking them up and slamming them onto the work station. The man kept stopping saying this was too much work .. The nails were all different shapes and lengths and on the back of the nails there was globs of acrylic. wtf. He did a horrifying paint job. And when he asked me to pay ahead of time he told me it'll be $45. I asked why it's that much if I only got a full set with regular polish. He told me it'll be $30 for the set, $10 for length and then $5 for his tip. That's an absolutely ridiculous price for the shit nail job I received. And nowhere does it mention that the tip is included. I Left there and immediately went to my original nail tech to get them fixed. The service I received is a joke. Who smacks their client? Lmfaooo never again will I step foot in this place. Stay away and save your money. read more

Deluxe Nails in Fraiser is one of the best nail salons I have been to in the area (and I've tried a lot!). The salon is clean, modern, and well laid out and prices are comparable to other salons in the region. The pedicure chairs are incredibly comfy and big screen tvs throughout the salon are visible from any chair. This may seem like a small thing, but they have recent magazines that don't look like they've been handled by a thousand other patrons, which, to me, means they pay attention to the little details!
