Ordered eggsalad sandwich at ft in huntersville. Spent the rest of lunch trying to figure out whether it was made of tuna, chicken, crab, or the most fibrous egg i have ever seen. Completely bland. Also the side that comes with the sandwich is not free. Service was fast, but it was close to closing. Too expensive for a sandwich of mystery meat. read more

Delicious homemade salad dressings and beautifully made meals! Care goes into the simplet grilled cheese or the preparing the most balanced salad! I'm not the only one who is impressed when my last bite has every veggie meat and egg in it that my FIRST bite had... service is friendly and efficient- atmosphere is upbeat clean and family oriented. Like it A LOT!!! read more

Ordered takeout but they forgot one of my items. Didn't realize this until I came home. When I saw that something was missing, I called the restaurant but no one picked up so my call went to voicemail. Left a message for a manager to call me back but no one has. The food is usually good but with customer service like this, I don't see myself ever returning or recommending to anyone. read more

Two eggs over easy... hash browns (were actually home fries)... and toast. All well done and at $6 a good value. I will be back.

I woke up this morning and started off with a need to eat. I didn't feel like cooking so I looked to see what was near me and this place popped up on my feed. I drove here and entered the restaurant. I was greeted by 3 friendly faces and one young gentleman proceeded to sit me on the patio. I ordered my drinks and food and 10 minutes later, the food arrived! Everything was devoured in about 16 minutes. This food is quick, good and affordable! Check it out if you're in the area! read more

We just discovered this place through Yelp - my husband and I are very PICKY when it comes to food. We just had breakfast here . My husband lived the Gluten free blueberry Flapjack and he is about to order another - the food and service is so good that I couldn't want to write this review. We would definitely be regulars here :) read more

Great food, courteous service, and tons of gluten free options! I have enjoyed several visits to this delightful breakfast spot. I especially like the cornbread, though it seems to be a weekend only complimentary item. read more

We've come a handful of times since this place opened. I have always enjoyed the Southwestern Omelette, and my husband the Corn Beef Hash, and we have never been disappointed with the food. With that being said, when we came this week after having not been in a while, I was disappointed to find that getting a kids milk now costs about $2.50 and is not included with the kids meal. Further, the kids' cup they provide may be the smallest I have ever seen with a kids' meal, fit for a toddler. My son was done before his food even came out, and when I inquired about a refill I was told "we are not supposed to provide refills." That combined with having to dish out $50+ for 4 of us (including two kids' meals) for a standard breakfast makes me less inclined to come back regularly. read more

Famous Toastery - $2.50 kids milk (not included with meal). - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Ashburn, Virginia

Love, love, love this place. We have eaten here for breakfast and lunch many times!! Always love their food and friendly servers. I am a lunch lover, but my son says, "Why would you get anything but the breakfast?!" My mom has Celiac and she recently had waffles for the first time in a long time. Said the gluten free waffles were delicious! We recently had a party and used FT to cater the lunch. Everyone raved about the food!! The delivery was prompt, friendly and the food was delicious. read more

Tried this place for lunch .We are vegetarians and tried the veggie wrap and black bean wrap .Absolutely flavorless and the vegetables had no taste whatsoever .They also need to change their sourcer for vegetables .The staff was nice enough to thank us for trying them out and heard our feedback . read more

So I was a fan of the Famous Toastery but what the difference a few months make. Cold food and cold service. What a shame.

Was excited to try a place that offers specifically breakfast/brunch. Came on a sat afternoon , wasn't too busy ( closer to closing time ). I ordered mac n cheese for my toddler, surprised to find it was straight out of Kraft box... Panera mac n cheese is much better! I ordered egg n cheese and hubby ordered a turkey sandwich. There was no effort and the taste was eh... the coleslaw was store bought mixed with mayo. Sorry not coming back here ... if you love brunch , like we do, you will be def disappointed. Go to Bakers Crust , you will love it! read more

Bad food and Poorly Trained Customer Support by Management First time trying this breakfast location and couldn't find anything to consider it famous for. One of the dishes we ordered was the Country Benedict. Prior to ordering we asked the server to make sure that no salt was added and asked that none be added; and how salty was it. The answer was "we don't add any salt." The ham in the meal (country ham) was so salty we actually had to spit it out. It made our mouths pucker. When we finally had a server check on the meal for us, we were well into the meal and the wait would have been way too long as it took almost 25 min to get the meal served in the first place. Her explanation was that this was country ham and it is salty. Further, it's a chain so the local place has no say in the recipe. Also, they had other comments on the ham. (begs the question why has this not been addressed or what have they done to address the customer feedback? Inference--nothing). The manager stopped by the table to ask how the meal was and we told him about the ham being so salty. His answer, " Next time please tell the server to substitute another kind of ham"--Really? What? We were done with our meal and were paying the bill...the manager asked us if we wanted to have different ham--saying this as he was clearing our plates. We paid our bill without asking for any thing. We were surprised that the manager do not offer to waive the charge for the County Benedict meal given how this all went down. My advice--train management to better address the customer experience. read more

"Famous Toastery - Where every server is your server!" I've never had luck with this type of restaurant- the servers don't have any continuity with you. We were seated by a hostess who earnestly told us to flag down any person in a black shirt for service. A waitress arrived promptly to get us our coffee......then nothing. We waited and waited and then I stood up and waved my arms. A black shirted young woman arrived! We said we wanted to order and she said she'd have to get someone. I said "what happened to 'every server is your server?'" She said I'm a hostess. A server arrived and then everything went smoothly. The food was excellent but the ambiance was really noisy. Not a bad place and the wait staff really tries to please. read more

This is a good breakfast place for sure. It's definitely higher quality than some of the other breakfast places in the area. I highly recommend the corn beef hash with eggs and hollandaise on top it was excellent. They also have freshly squeezed orange juice that is delicious. It's a little bit more than I'd like to pay for breakfast on a weekly basis but it is a nice treat now and then. read more

First we had to wait a while I got that it's was Sunday morning. We came hungry and we're excited for brunch. It was very crowded. Tables were packed together a little to close to my fellow dinners. The server came and explained that every server is out server how ever we didn't really experience that. I get team service but this was just a chaotic. Our strange beverage my one daughter ordered pineapple juice. It wasn't pineapple juice. It tasted like apple juice and then the server realized that it was supposed to pineapple juice and used the same glass the coffee was great. Now comes the food. One of my girls ordered a bagel sandwich it looked good how ever the sausage on her sandwich was cold. Daughter number 2 ordered French toast it was soggy and barely warm. I ordered a runner omelette egg whites turkey and roasted veggies and Brie. Well no Brie in the omelette and the meat I have no idea how they classify turkey but it was gray. Yes gray turkey I was really excited to have some hash browns sadly they were home fries I was sad. Our check was dropped as soon as we got our food. I'm assuming they like to churn and burn their guests as quickly as possible. I get used to wait tables my self. How ever for having like a billion servers "supposedly " we waited about 15 min after we were finished eating and had to go to the hostess stand to pay for a cold tasteless brunch. We will not be returning We will not be ret Tout food may be "fresh" but the turkey was gray I appreciate the reply to my original post but I have worked in the restaurant industry for a long time I have never seen gray tasteless turkey before. read more

Maybe my expectations were too high. Ordered huevos rancheros and they were bland, not enough tortilla chips and way too much beans and very little cheese. The breakfast potatoes were semi cooked, hard in the center and under seasoned. The bacon wasn't even that good... I mean how do you mess up bacon???? Avocado Benny was meh nothing to write home about.... Our server was friendly.... staff was nice..... maybe we didn't order the most popular dishes.... read more

One of the reasons I will never open a business that caters to the public is due to all the uneducated people that have unrestricted access to the internet. This is the same reason I never go to yelp before visiting an establishment. "I went to Sunday brunch and it was extremely busy and I had a long wait...", "There were kids throwing crayons around...", "Myrtle, these aren't hash browns, by golly these are home fries for goodness sake...". If I go to One Loudoun at 6:00pm on a Friday, I will be met with a 1 hour minimum wait for most of the restaurants. If I leave Ashburn at 7:00am going towards DC, there will be lots of cars on the road, and by the way if you go to Target the day after Thanksgiving, wait I know this will be shocking, IT WILL BE CRAZY BUSY ... I encourage you to go and visit and form your own opinion. Some will like and some will not, but use a little bit of common sense. read more

VERY busy place. Waitresses are very attentive though. Went there with hubby and two kiddos for breakfast and they were very attentive making sure we had everything we needed. Food was tasty, it was brunch...not sure you can mess that up much. It was pretty standard nothing out of the ordinary. read more

I really, REALLY wanted to like this place and tried to withhold judgement. I feel like this place has potential, but I'm shocked that they thought they could open a trend place in the middle Ashburn (which is currently exploding) and get away with utilizing such a tiny space. I almost don't want them to do well because then there will always be crowds. Anyway, it was just two of us and when we checked in they said it would be a 25-45 minute wait, which we were okay with as long as we could get a drink or something while we wait. Well, their only bar is the size of a standard table and only sat about 6. We stood there waiting to be helped for a simple drink for over 10 minutes, which isn't a big deal, except there were more than 6 servers all crowding around their touch system at the bar. At least two of them looked over at my friend and I several times and didn't bother asking if we needed anything (so much for every waiter is your waiter...?) and my friend had to pull one aside to ask if we were even allowed to order a drink while we waited- but she had to physically touch the server for them to stop pretending that we weren't blatantly trying to get their attention. The people sitting at the bar were getting involved, that's how much effort it took. Before we could even order our drinks we were sat...much less than the wait time quoted (no complaints there, but was probably due to saying we didn't care where we sat and were seated in the enclosed patio, which was cold). Service wasn't bad but wasn't spectacular. I read reviews on their whole concept of every server is your server, no idea why they aren't listening to customers and just dropping it altogether...it doesn't have a history of working well, and can you imagine having to split your tips with people who don't deserve them? Nightmare. Our table was served incorrectly more than once, people bringing us food meant for the next table as well as their check. So clearly staff has not been trained thoroughly on even where the tables are. You could tell the one server that took our orders was very unexcited about her job...I mean, there's "working for a living" and then there's flat out "I'm miserable", she fell about somewhere in between. I would give this place more props if they took good care of their employees as well as their customers, but how can you take good care of them if this is the system in place? I tried the raspberry stuffed french toast since they were out of the special nutella french toast (and just about every other item on the special menu) and it wasn't anything great...it was literally store bought bread, crusts and all, french toast style with some raspberry jam squished in there. I ate more than I normally would for some reason, but I didn't particularly like or dislike it. I just could have made it at home and done a better job. Got the home fries as a side, it tasted odd and the potatoes were styled just as oddly...like a mix of diced, smushed and hash browns. The whole point of this visit was for my birthday (which the servers could not have cared less about) and we were eager to try the different kinds of mimosas (btw their actual menu is not on the website at all, if I hadn't been going with someone who had already been and knew they did have mimosas, I would have thought they didn't and never set foot in here). The peach bellini was better, the champagne punch wasn't at all what we thought...it's poured over berry sorbet and sounded like it would be good, but it was just slightly flavored champagne with some berries in it. Not at all impressive. Overall, I probably won't immediately come back. It's too small and too crowded for actual brunch times, and the food was so meh that it wasn't worth leaving the house for...there are tons of places in the area that do a much better brunch, but none that are solely brunch. Like I said, it has tons of potential but they need to actually implement changes. read more

We've been twice over the past month, both for brunch during the weekend. The first time was absolutely amazing. The service was attentive, and the food was so fresh and tasted really good. I had the Eggs Benedict with crab cakes, and it was filled with chunks of crab and had a lot of flavor. Yum! Our whole family decided that this was our new weekend go-to place! We went again two weeks ago, and it couldn't be further from the opposite experience. There are servers everywhere, but no one would acknowledge our existence after bringing our dishes. We asked for water - none. All the other tables had the delicious cornbread - we didn't get any. The biggest disappointment was the Eggs Benedict with crab cakes. It was solid bread crumbs (or whatever filler that is used) - absolutely no crab at all. I left most of it on my plate, it was just gross and inedible. I haven't decided whether we'll return or not - the first time was so fabulous. read more

Very delicious. Very friendly staff. Great prices. I love a good breakfast/brunch spot and this restaurant really meets my needs. I've gotten two different things on my visits. First I think it was cinnamon raisin French toast. Very good and it came with my choice of sausage, bacon, or turkey bacon. Love that they have turkey bacon as an option. The other dish I've gotten was the blueberry pancakes. They were phenomenal. They come out blue because the restaurant puréed the blueberries and mixed them into the pancake batter. Such a good idea. They also have very yummy breakfast sandwiches. If you go with someone who isn't into breakfast they also have a lunch menu. Will definitely be a repeat customer. Love how responsive the employees are read more

My parents, sister, myself, my cousin and her husband came here when they had a break layover at the airport for a brunch mid week. Overall it was very easy to get to and mid-week in the AM was very quiet. I think maybe one or two other tables were there. It was a very nice place to walk into, very eye catching. The table we sat at was quite nice but there was a table with-in inches of my chair so luckily there was no one occupying the table so there was no-one to bump into scooting in and out of the table to use the restroom. Everyone at the table seemed to enjoy their food. I got their southwest omelet. It was a good sized omelet compared to other food places that serve omelets and breakfast foods. The chorizo sausage that was in it was very good and had a nice kick to it. Not too spicy. I think they probably could have put some more cheese into the omelet to help keep the spicy-ness of the sausage mixture down for those who aren't fans of spicier things. My sister had one of the specialty french toasts, it was the strawberry/cream cheese one. She says it wasn't too sugary and overloaded with sweetness. My cousin had a turkey Ruben sandwich which she said was very good. My mom had a combo with a flapjack, egg and bacon. My dad had a combo with the french toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, and a side of grits. My cousins husband had the same thing my dad had without the grits. All of the plates were pretty clean when we all finished. Overall it was very good. It was a little bit on the pricey side though. I would definitely go back if we have some visitors in town or with some friends once in a while. read more

Newer restaurant, indoor seating as well as screened in outdoor seating, any server is your server, very nice servers, great food (bacon-yum!), fun mimosas, great atmosphere, decent prices, can get crowded especially on the weekend, but not too long a wait, have seen toddler playgroups meet there during the week in the mornings...one negative--no reservations for Mother's Day. read more

I was really looking forward to a yummy birthday brunch at this place based off of reviews I'd read. But I am very sad to say that the service was absolutely bizzare. Our waitresses, yes we had multiple, struggled to communicate and demonstrate the usual restaurant ettiquite. I settled on the Avocado Benedict and I can honestly say it was one of the most disappointing meals I've had out in a while. Completely tasteless and a huge let down from the great description on the menu. I will say though that the mimosas were delicious. I hate to leave a review like this, but as someone who uses yelp to decide where to go in new cities, I felt that I had to leave one as the previous reviews were quite misleading. Good place if you're looking for bland food and awkward service all for the price of a 4 star restauraunt. read more

I will defiantly go back to Famous Toastery. Great Food, Great Service and cute place. :)

I have been to this place a handful of times now and so far so good! The menu selection is vast and everything I have tried so far has been very yummy! There have been quite a few times that I have thought about eating there and have been disappointed that they were closed already at 3. I wish they stayed open until 5 or 6 PM so that I could feed my children after school because they think breakfast for dinner is so much fun. The service is very friendly, however different servers stopping by every couple of minutes can be annoying when your conversation is constantly being interrupted. I guess it beats never seeing a server and needing something. It seems like either they're coming by too much or not enough... hopefully in time they will work out a system of how often to check on a table divided between all of the servers that take care of you. I love this restaurant and I'm glad it is in my neighborhood!!! read more

Famous? Really? This place is about as bland as the dry flavorless corn bread they serve. Seriously ditch the corn bread or revise the recipe. Don't waste calories on it. The rest of the food is decent but really expensive for what it is. Breakfast should be the cheapest meal of the day. Can get very loud and crowded too, difficult to move with people walking around/behind you. I noticed the reviews average 3.5 stars, and that's fair. read more

My low review is for multiple reasons. First of all my brunch food was ok but this place is expensive and I felt the value for money wasn't good. I had ordered an Egg Florentine which was not bad but it was pretty ordinary for the amount that I paid for it. I also ordered an Irish coffee to go with it which was a huge disappointment. They had just poured whiskey in a normal drip coffee mug. It had no cream or foam. We were sitting in the patio and it was a cold morning so even as there was waiting for the tables no one was sitting in the patio. There were about 3 tables free when we were sitting there. And even then we had 3 different waiting staff come and interrupt us while we were talking, if we wanted anything more. At first I thought that it was very gracious of them to follow up with our order but later it was annoying. And this follow up wasn't even at the right time, they didn't even wait for us to order further and just gave us our checks before we even finished our brunch. read more

This was our first visit and I am glad I read the comments from others with Celiac Disease. The waitress offered me gluten free toast with my meal but luckily i asked if they toast it in the same toaster with regular bread, sure enough they do. You'd think a place that's offering gluten free bread would have the sense to at a minimum separate these items. I'm guessing the gluten free pancakes and French Toast aren't safe either. Overall the food was good but extremely over priced. $3.50 for a side of bacon. Really? read more

This is a small, cute, and kinda fancy breakfast diner. This place has been busy since they opened, and the hubby and I finally found a slow day with no wait and decided to give them a try. The staff was very friendly and allowed us to choose where we would like to sit (which was a nice change). The menu is as you would expect, an extensive breakfast menu, I believe on the back they had some lunch items but we were particularly there for breakfast. They also offer mimosas and other morning drinks here. I ordered the blueberry pancake ultimate meal--not sure if that's exact name--with a side of potatoes and the hubby got an omelet with a side of grits. Each member of the staff was very tentative making sure someone had taken care of us while we were waiting on our food. Finally our food came out. The blue berry pancake was pretty good, my bacon (that came with the meal) tasted great, the eggs were just ok, and I was not a fan of the side order of potatoes I ordered (I wasn't fond of the seasoning that was used). My hubby enjoyed his omelet. He cleared his plate eating it all and didn't even let me taste it. Oh-- I do have to note how esp. good the grits were here! It's hard finding a place up north with good grits but they hit that on a nail. Our bill was a little pricey for breakfast for two people, so not sure we will be here often to eat. But it's cool to know if I'm to tired to cook some breakfast, this spot is waiting. read more

We enjoyed a nice brunch here over the weekend. It was very busy, we waited about 15 minutes for a table. The food was good, and it was a bonus to be able to order not only mimosas but espresso.
