I'm so glad that I chose this place upon receiving vision benefits. I've been wearing the same glasses for about 4 years now without an eye exam. It was super easy to make an appointment and they were very accommodating with my weird schedule. Once I arrived the staff was still very friendly and the paperwork was pretty straight forward. After filling out the paperwork I was invited to browse their frames (they have a really nice selection. ) Even the staff that I wasn't directly interacting with were very sweet and they all seemed happy to be working there. I got into the exam with the doctor who was very patient and thorough. I felt very comfortable and I finished feeling confident in my new prescription. Finally I need to mention the MVP of my appointment: Sao-Mai. She spent forever helping me find frames. I can't imagine how many boxes she ended up going through for me. In the end, when I chose to keep my current frames, she didn't make me feel bad about the decision. After running out of my contact lenses and I was in dire need of a new prescription. I was initially going to go to the LensCrafters in Tyler Mall, but instead opted to try out Eye-C-You because it was located in the UV and I am a UCR student. First of all, I was greeted by James and he was really helpful in assisting me. I was given a pre-examination before meeting with Dr. Tran who was also extremely helpful and nice. Dr. Tran was able to assist me as well as offer me other brands of contacts that would help save me money and also were more comfortable. Also, unlike other optometrists, they were not pushy to sell you a certain brand. Dr. Tran gave me a couple samples and continually let me know that if I was not satisfied i could come back and they would gladly assist me with another option that would be better. Finally, I was really happy with the student discounts that were offered here. They really know how it could be difficult to pay for contacts being on a college budget. I love this place because of their great customer service and great pricing. They really take care of you and aren't pushing you to buy the most expensive thing or they aren't over charging you on anything. I'll try to keep this short, but basically this is the best optometrist office ever. I wear contacts all the time and I have 3 dogs who are always getting their fur in my eyes. I wake up one day and my contact is killing me so I take it out, but it still feels like there is something in my eye still. I figure it's a dog hair, but I can't flush it out. I called several optometry offices and was told my issue was a medical one so I would have to go to a doctor instead of an optometrist. I called Eye C You and they agreed to see me. I cannot stress how much pain I was in. My head was hurting. I had to cover my left eye just so I could see okay with my right eye. It was very painful. And I don't have glasses so I couldn't take out my contact without being blind. I get an appointment that day and head over. Dr. Penn Tran was not only incredibly competent, but he made me feel so at ease. My day was instantly better just by being around his cheerful disposition. He quickly assessed the problem, made my eye feel better, and gave me an antibiotic with no fuss. Then he gave me the best eye exam I've ever had in my life. I never want to go to another optometrist again. Also, his waiting room has a huge fish tank in it. You have to go check it out! read more

I've been having a lot of eye strain issues even after a couple of minutes of computer uses and reading. It started to affect my school work during powerpoint lectures, because my headaches would be distracting. Aleve or excederin were not relieving my pain either. After finally getting insurance, I saw they were covered under my insurance. There just happen to be a same day appoint available and it was the Trunk show where they had a discount sale and so many awesome frame styles on display. Everyone(staff) was really friendly and were helping me chose the right pair of frames. Dr. Tran has a warm personality. I appreciated how he explained everything he was doing in my exam and why. Watch out for hidden fees! They will nickle and dime you to make any additional money. I had my eye exam done here a couple weeks ago but they did not include the PD measurement. I called ahead and spoke with Gil he stated that there shouldn't be any problem for them to include it and I ask him if there would be an additional charge but he stated no. However, once I walk into the office this lady (I fail to get her name) took my measurement and charge me an additional 10 dollars!!!! I told her that I called ahead and spoke with someone regard this and she stated that because I didn't BUY A FRAME with them the PD measurement is not included. My eye exam was complete weeks ago and paid by my insurance but because I couldn't find a frame that I like there I decided just to get my prescription. When I told her this she look shock that I did not buy a frame from them. To buy a frame somewhere else or online you need a PD measurement. SO BEWARE PEOPLE THEY ARE OUT TO GET YOUR WALLET FOR EVERY LITTLE THING. I didn't want to cause a scene but I was upset and just paid my due. I rarely post reviews online, but I just had to warn any other person that is even remotely interested that they should look out and not be shocked like me. I'm giving a two star because Dr. Penn was great for my exam and informative. Minus three stars for the unforeseen lie and sudden new information when I have already called on ahead and confirmed everything regarding my situation only to be lied to in store. read more

Gotta say, great service and cheap price for eye exam (slightly cheaper than costco with discount). I felt relaxed going here and the staff (James and Dr. Tran) are easy going, welcoming, understanding, and flexible. They gave a lot of suggestion and advice and aren't pushy on sells and very accommodating. Dr. Tran even said to ask him for sample pairs of contact if I ran out and need a pair for a week to wait for contacts to arrive (even if bought somewhere else) Will recommend! I've had the same optometrist for over 10 years but have no vision insurance and was looking for something in my budget and found Dr. Tran. Am so happy I did! He's an awesome Dr and really takes his time to give you a thorough exam and explains everything in great detail. The office is beautiful and his staff is warm and welcoming. Parking there is a bit of a pain. There's several businesses there and parking for UCR students- if you're driving there get there early for your appt to look for parking. My husband & I came in as walk ins and they gladly helped us with all of our vision needs. The new patient paperwork was quick and they got us started right away. This is definitely one of the nicest optometry office I've ever visited. I loved the fish tank placed in the seating area--that subtle touch made waiting a bit more entertaining... if there was a wait. I noticed that some kids liked looking at the fish too. I was lucky enough to be seen shortly after filling out the paperwork. Even with an appt, I'm used to waiting at least 20 min. Either this was my lucky day or Dr. Quan and his staff are just awesome. hahah Dr. Quan made my eye exam quickkk yet informative. He even went the extra mile to make sure my eyes were healthy with a quick retinal image, which I didn't even know should be checked. Mary-anne (one of the opticians) chose a few frames.. and all I had to do was decide between 2-3 pairs that actually looks good on me. Being the picky person I am, I usually have trouble finding a frame, but Mary-anne knew what frame would look nice on me. Now that I have glasses that I love to wear, I let my eyes rest from wearing contacts all day. I can wear my glasses comfortably during my day out ...AND feel cute wearing them! hahah. I've never gotten this many compliments from my glasses before. OH YEAH, did I mention how good looking and well dressed the staff are? I came here because I twisted my glasses frame, and I needed a quick fix. Despite the fact that my frame was twisted really badly, Eye-C-You optometry fixed it right away for me for no fee. So professional, and I was so glad they were able to fix it. They made me sign a liability waiver since the frame may have very well snapped in the process of twisting it back to its original form (yes, it was that bad). Only took about 5 minutes. While I was waiting for my glasses to be fixed, I took a quick look around the store. They seemed to have a good variety of glasses! I didn't check the price though. There's also plenty of free parking in the plaza. During my visit, I didn't get my eyes checked or get a new prescription, nor did I shop for new glasses, but if you need a quick fix to your glass frame, I highly recommend this place! read more

This place is a joke that does not value the customer me and my little sister used to come here for a long time but after these last couple years of delaying our glasses and not giving us a straight reason why and then telling me that after I called multiple times and got confirmation they would be shipped to them on 11/29 and ready for pick up 12/1 or 12/2 the latest they tell me oh no they will get shipped out to us at 12/2 and you can not get your glasses till 12/6 after I been already waiting after I ask why they say they don't have a reason I ask for the phone number to call the lab they said they can not give me a phone number and finally ask for the name they give me "Vision clagosin organ" maybe I took the name wrong but maybe they just any name to get off the phone very unprofessional and I am very unpleasant with my visit after 6 years thank you but it is time to find a new optometry to go to because this is only about the money now. read more

For someone who has needed glasses since elementary (I am now 25 lol) Eye C You is the BEST optometry office I have EVER been to seriously! All exaggerations aside the staff and Dr. Are all so friendly and helpful I felt like they actually cared normally when I've gone to other offices I get the "just another patient " vibe not here the Dr. Was very informative and was more than willing to answer any questions and even give suggestions I didn't feel rushed out the door (I was attended by Dr. Nguyen) the girl who help me with my initial exam process and to pick out my frames was SO helpful and sweet. I had posted 4 * in my review. How ever subsequent experience has not been so good. Some how my numbers were not correct. We went through 2 sets of glasses without resolving my problem. Since then the service has deteriorated. I send emails and do not get replies till 3 emails. My glasses were supposed to come in 2 weeks. It has been almost 4 weeks. Itis not my fault that the numbers are not correct. Missing initial customer service and response. Not happy customer. 10/25/18...It is rather surprising their reluctance to accept their mistakes. I have had glasses done at Kaiser and am not having any issues. I had asked them to refund full amount but they will NOT refund money paid for first visit even though the numbers were incorrect all the time. I still feel they should refund the fees. read more

I'm not very good at gauging when they ask you, "which is better 1 or 2..." and that tends to piss other eye drs off. Not Dr. Tran! I liked the Contact lenses，but this time I'm really Disappointed with their glasses service, first time the number on the lenses is wrong, made me feel sick for days, then I went in their stores did another exam, they tell me that I can get my new glasses in a week, but now is the third week, I went and called many time, they still have nothing for me. Including the first exam day, it's one month already,and most glasses the maximum rate should be 10 days top. I hope I can get my glasses soon. read more
