Dr. Holcomb is incredibly professional. He takes the time to explain every test thoroughly and is willing to try multiple lenses to get things right. The equipment is also top-notch. I came in for my annual vision check and tried contact lenses for the first time, specifically multifocal. The fitting was thorough, and both Dr. Holcomb and the staff were patient and willing to test out several versions, sending me home with multiple trial pairs. For the fitting itself, I worked with Jennifer and Sabrina. Since it was my first time putting contacts in and taking them out, they were extremely helpful and walked me through the whole process without ever making me feel rushed. I went here for a few years but no longer go. The positives: The office is clean and nice. They seem to have a lot of technically advanced equipment for looking at eyes. They have a fairly large selection of frames to choose from. The problem I had was Dr. Tran was repeatedly adjusting my prescription to make it weaker and I would have trouble reading street signs and seeing well. I would have to go back to get it adjusted. This happened multiple times. I've since went to a different eye doctor and have better vision with my contacts and glasses. Some members of the staff at the front desk are friendly, some of the technicians that helped me were not. During one of my visits they were playing unedited 90s grunge music the whole time I was there, complete with four-letter f-bombs. It just happened the one time, I thought it was very strange for this type of business though. read more

The doctors that do the vision tests do not take into account the concerns of the patient. When I went in to get my eye exam, they were not able to diagnose an eye condition that was causing me to see double. I was clear about all the symptoms and had to get a second opinion from a Kaiser optometrist to get the correct diagnosis. Additionally, the employees who work there are not friendly or accommodating. I was waiting to get my frames back with the new updated prescription and I promptly headed to the location when they let me know they were ready. I called ahead to let the know that I would be ONE minute late, but that I would appreciate if they could just hand me the frames because I can't see well with my old prescription. They clearly stated that they would lock their doors and not let me in, even though I tried explaining that it was urgent and I didn't want to continue to see blurry until next Tuesday, when they will open again. I'm very disappointed with their inability to take their patient's well-being into consideration. To this office, a minute of overtime is worth more than ensuring their customers have access to clear vision. read more

Decided to try this location instead of my normal lens crafters. And it was a complete mistake, but the Dr is nice although he gave me a higher prescription than I needed (which he later corrected) and the store looks nice. I went back in early Dec 2024 and got glasses and lens there, I wanted glare and blue light that that lend that look clear just like I have previously always bought through lens crafters and they said it would be the same. I received my glasses a few days before Xmas. I felt they were wrong but maybe my eyes needed to adjust, but they just did adjust plus the lens had a purple reflection that showed up in pictures and in general (pic) which I did not want, so I took them back and they "fix it". AGAIN the purple reflection was there when I picked them up and told them that was one of the main reasons it brought it back. And AGAIN they kept them to fix them. And requested to see tge Dr, I for an appointment the following week and got a new prescription as well. When I picked them up the 3rd time they were fine and they adjusted but never really drove with them a night, when I did start to drive at night I started to notice that the light at night were almost blinding, again I thought it was just me as I have been stress and had headaches.. however the bright blinding lights that looked like as if i had astigmatism I felt my eyes were getting worse and could not understand why it had that glare when it wasn't suppose to... I can see the blurry lights through my lens but no blur when I took them off ( pic attached). I called my insurance to see what could be done, but they said they could find that the EOB or billing for it, I was so confused because I paid almost $500 for the frame & lens...I would love to get my money back for the lens but it has been since Feb 2025 that I picked them up, so I decided to go back to lens crafters and they took a look at the lenses and right away said that they used bad quality films and we could see what looks like small waves. Trust me don't waste your time or money... go to a place that you know use quality product. read more

Decided to use my works insurance at a new vision center for some glasses. When I called in the staff was extremely friendly and even let me set up a appointment for me and my lady. Once we got in they had us fill out a few papers and we sat back down and waited for them to call us back. The tests were very simple and a quick process and before I knew it the doctor came in to speak with me. We went over the typical vision test to see what I needed for my glasses and we were then off to select frames. The selection of frames they have is very nice and the prices are very reasonable. Turn around time for my glasses was about 2 weeks and it actually came sooner then that. I highly suggest going here for you vision needs! read more

Dr Holcomb and staff are great. I tried this place after my wife recommended them. Dr Holcomb did a thorough exam and full explained why I needed to change my prescription (getting old and needed progressive lenses). Once I got the new glasses I was not fully comfortable with them. Wish I didn't have to write this review. I don't even know where to start. I was told I needed to go to a hospital stat through the emergency room I may have a tumor. Wow?! Then 15 mins later I'm fine and it's a cornea deal. They tried before the hospital trip talk to lessen my prescription on contacts which made my vision blurry. I was never given a correct script for eyes for contacts and left to come back in a few days. Well, I made another appt. eye drops and the correct script which isn't less, it's more (eyes have gotten worse.) I can see now and my blurry ness is 90% better w drops Wow! I went from possibly dying to living within one hour and they apologized a lot! Still charged me 200 for the visit as well! This is nuts and I'll be expecting a call, a refund and will have this looked into on a professional level. Scary!! Do not use!!! Very very scary! read more

we have been long time customers of advanced vision care and have been pretty happy with the service we have been getting but I recently found out that when they say if you have problems with your glasses to bring them back and they will take care of them with no problem, this is not true. I brought my wife's glasses back to them to have them changed back into her old prescription because the new prescription was just too hard on her eyes. I was hit with A lot of resistance. I had to do a little pushing to get her glasses changed back to her old prescription so that she can see normally. other than that they have been good up to this point. read more
