The entire staff was extremely helpful! Considering we are in a pandemic, they took the necessary precautions to ensure the area was properly sanitized. The ladies here went above and beyond to help me find the frames I wanted. I have a big head(ugh) and most frames didn't fit my face. Although I didn't end up purchasing my frames from them (I found my frames on amazon for cheaper), they were unfazed and still gave me the best customer support! Lovely office, very friendly staff! Seems to be really popular with kids, and families. I'm a college student and I still enjoy the environment. There's a bunch of toys, a fish tank, and they play movies too keep everyone occupied! The pictures don't do the office justice it's very spacious, and they told me my wait time, for a walk in, would be a hour but it's barely been 15 minutes and they've already cleared about 80% of the waiting room. I've received glasses from here previously and have no complaints just looking to get contacts. 100% recommend! read more

Difficult to see past the pushy dishonest sales practices - endorsed by the office manager - despite good optometrists. I enjoyed my visit and consultation, the fact that they have top of the line equipment is certainly a plus. After my visit, I witnessed the 'store' side of this business where the office manager repeatedly insisted that "because each pair of Salt glasses are handmade, they do not allow us to return a pair if you don't like how they fit when they arrive." This was conveyed to me through the sales associate loud enough to be overheard by me - a sales tactic you might expect when buying a car - then finally agreeing to order two pairs for me to look at and choose from but then insisting I pay upfront before seeing a pair of the glasses on. The whole situation was so uncomfortable and so high pressure, I reached out to Salt when I got home about their policy. Salt's actual policy would have allowed then to order as many pair of glasses for me to try and return the rest without charge. So what we have here, is lying to customers while denying them the option of finding the optimal pair of glasses even while asking them to shell out over $400 on an accessory they'll wear on their face for years. Lastly, when I got my chart for sharing with my primary doctor, there were multiple procedures recorded on the chart that did not occur. I am not sure if these were remnants from a template used - probably understandable - or something else, but sloppy paperwork either way. read more

I live in LA and work out in Riverside. No traffic. Adaptive cruise control. And podcasts. So I don't mind the commute. But sometimes you drive with your window down and a bug gets in your eye. Then you rub it out along with your contact. Luckily, I was just approaching University Village (where I get my daily dose of Yoshinoya). This Eye-C-You Eye Doc was impressively quick (I was running late to work). They confirmed my prescription from my usual optometrist, and they hooked it up with a new pair... but not my usual ones... some newer technology ones! They're so clear that I swear I can even see the next bull run in crypto! Contact lens fitting fee gladly paid. Keep it up. Just like XRP. read more

I came in to get my frame that's not even a year old fixed, a screw fell out a couple of times. 1st time my lens fell out and scratch my lens, bought a new set of lens to be put back on my old frames. I noticed this time around that a small part of a design on one side of the frame is gone. I brought it up to the first technician and I was told that insurance only covers defect but she can take a picture and try to see if it's covered under mfg warranty. She was assisting a pt at that time and I was asked to wait until she's finish with the pt. Another tech/manager became free & she ended up assisting me, she was able to replace the missing screw. When I asked about the design missing she immediately told me that insurance only covers defects. I informed her of the couple of times when the screw became loose, and asked her if I really need to go back in each time it becomes loose, she replied that she put new threading (I did noticed that she used a bigger screw than the original, is that what new threading means?) then asked for the mfg name & I was provided with that info along with my original invoice and I was told to bring in the frame and they'll be happy to put the old lens to the new frames if the insurance agree that it was a defect. So I said out of frustration "oh, so you want me to call the manufacturer and do the dirty work"...she then replied "you know what Nikki, if you would ask me nicely, I'll be happy to do it" I told her I was informed by the first tech that she will try to reach out to the mfg and even send pictures. While all of this was happening, Dr T was passing by and did not try to acknowledge or intervene with what was going on. I was really turned off by the way I was treated. I've worked for a high end designer in BH for 22yrs as a production mgr and now working as a nurse/public health for 3 yrs...not once I've ever talked to client or patient the way she talked to me. I was really disappointed. To make long story short, I called the manufacturer, spoke to a really nice, super friendly Cust rep explained my situation and 2 days later I receive a new pair of frames and they even offered to find a local optometrist for me to take my new pair and have my old lens put in. Now that's what I call a fantastic customer service. When youre working retail/wholesale/public or private practice always now it's all about customer service. My family & i have been coming here for our eye exam/eye care for awhile, 4-5yrs. We've had VSP coverage for 20yrs and this is the first time I've been so disappointed with customer service. read more

Miserable shocking incompetence and unprofessional conduct. Not only have they turned me off from their business, but from ever ordering glasses from a brick-and-mortar place again. I will never do business with them again, and am not likely to do business with an optometrist again. The exception being for contacts as they handled that acceptably and without serious hangups. The Dr. was fine and seemed competent, that's about where it ends. I was quoted 7-10 business days and was left waiting 15 (business) days before demanding a refund and after they managed to break my glasses twice. The accidents were more a fault of the supply chain rather than them, however they are of course responsible for the integrity of their supply chain. After such a litany of mistakes and excuses, my confidence in their competence and integrity was greatly undermined. This was compounded by reading the numerous mistakes other customers had to endure resulting in a final complete lack of confidence. I doubted that even were I to continue to wait that it'd receive a correct product. As for unprofessional conduct, the real kicker was the manager on the day that I was supposed to pick up my glasses. Her overt hostility, vitriol, and excuses should be embarrassing to any professional environment. Particularly her quip about wishing I'd demanded a refund before they paid twice was particularly revealing. It's somewhat shocking that such a thing of apparent expense wouldn't be insured for shipping damage. Their bad business sense and practices are hardly my responsibility. read more

Great experience from beginning to end. The staff and doctor are all friendly, professional, and informative. They have digital retinal scan for a minimal fee to avoid full on eye dilation drops, 150% worth it! Easy and quick, no more burning drops and waiting for the doctor to exam. Dr. Tran voluntarily pulled up my scan to review together, so amazing to see my own retina and what it looked like. So happy I found a phenomenal doctor who knows his craft and provides great service. No one was pushy on upgrading to the digital scan, purchasing glasses, etc, just sound professional service. I saw both Dr. Tran and Dr. Nguyen. I first saw Dr. Nguyen for an eye exam. After intense headaches, I went back and Dr. Tran sorted out the prescription. When my glasses came in, I immediately knew something was wrong with them. The staff told me that's normal and to take some time to adjust. After more intense headaches, and not being able to read street signs while driving (yikes!), I called to see if I could have them checked. The wrong prescription had been put in my glasses, and Dr. Tran was helpful in sorting it out. My experience happened a while ago, though Dr. Tran was helpful, it was still frustrating. The current staff told me that they have had changes in staff since then. Additionally, a friend of mine went back there after I had trouble because they carry nice brands for glasses and she did not personally have any experiences like mine. They ended up putting the incorrect prescription in her glasses, too. Her experience happened within the past 2-3 months. I am confident the new staff would assist her if she was willing to spend the time sorting it out. This looks like a pattern to me--which is why I am finally writing a review. read more

OMG I got my new daily bifocal contacts this weekend, and even though I thought I had new bionic vision with the temps Dr. Tran gave me at his office after my exam, but I see even better now. I am so happy because I can easily read all the street signs from far away AND read my computer and cell phone screen as well. Dr. Tran is awesome! Not only is he very, very smart and knowledgeable about eyes, he's very kind and makes an eye exam fun even, if you can believe that! I hope you do because it's true. At my age as a senior citizen, I am very appreciative of the Covid preventions they take in the office, and that they all speak up knowing I'm hard of hearing, too. If I would have known about Dr. Tran, I would have quit my optometrist of twenty years much much sooner! BTW their prices are fair and they take Medicare. read more
