My boyfriend and I only had our storage here for about two months, that's as long as we lasted, before we got the boot, (kicked out) but I just want to say Mary Helen the manager here is amazing. She really had her work cut out for her with us and she handled everything with more grace and understanding than most of us would tolerate trying to manage so many units and the bs that comes with it. We recently lost our apartment and we're living out of our black box truck right now, trying to move and keep all our things that mean a lot to us. It took us forever to get settled and honestly we know we can be a handful. We stay too late sometimes, trying to get things finished and we've even gotten injured a few times along the way trying to rush. It's been hard. I really wish we were able to continue storing our stuff here but unfortunately we're kind of big nuisances with how much stuff we have and how long it takes us to get through everything. Even with all that, Mary Helen kept her grace the whole time and treated us with compassion. This isn't a fake review or a sob story, it's real. For all the storages we've ever been to, this was the most positive experience because of her. She was patient, kind, and truly understanding. And as a side note, Mike who works there too, was always very pleasant and never made me feel like the nuisance we are. Both of them really went above and beyond for us and I won't forget that. As we all know, moving can be frustrating, difficult and mental. A gentleman by the name of Ken, who works inside the office has been an outstanding business oriented and very well mannered, as well as his appearance with his charming personality. As soon as I came in from another Mickey Mouse called Smart stop self storage in the city of Azusa. They've taken my money, put a hole on my credit card and it made my next storage much difficult. Ken has waited till I got on the phone with the bank figured out all my problems. He helped me out, organized everything for me and made my move. Much easier. I think one of my favorite things about this place is having digital access to the gate and not pushing in a code is Super convenient; I haven't really seen that at any other place. The office staff deserves 10 stars they are exceptional ! My issue was with the increase price in my unit 10x10 started at $168 in 6 months went to $248 than next increase was $313 ... within a year. Unfortunately my storage unit was also broken into lock cut and a different lock placed on it. The staff was very helpful and accommodating with the incident. The 1 star is for pricing ... when i rented the unit the price was fair, but the amount of increase was NOT. read more

I see a missed called from them and returned the call and was told I could buy back my unit for $200 but that I have to take all of my belongs (that I do not have room for and probably can't even lift) I'm waiting fir them now don't know what to expect but I do know if I hurt myself trying to lift them who is responsible! I had my storage unit for about 3 months. First of all they force you to purchase insurance. I purchased locks from them as well. I was at my storage unit in October 10th and everything was fine. On October 14th they have very poor video showing two masked males removing an electric bike, tools, a small safe and a large gun safe from my storage space. The lock was picked to gain entry and because they don't show any forced entry the insurance they forced me to buy is not going to cover anything. Also there was another burglary a week prior to mine with forced entry. Don't be fooled the insurance they force you to purchase is no good and don't let the cameras think your stuff is safe. Their cameras are horrible quality and not placed in very good areas to cover the facility. They also have someone who lived onsite which is also useless. The burglars that got into my storage unit requested a temporary pass code to get in and out. Your stuff is not safe here and the insurance is horrible they will not pay you for your stolen stuff. DO NOT STORE YOUR STUFf HERE! read more
