This place has really gone downhill within the past year. The food and service used to be great but now the food comes out cold and you have to flag down a server to take your money. The last two times I've visited have been poor experiences. 2 months ago, I was in a party of 3 and it took us 45 minutes to get our food even though the restaurant wasn't even half full. When our food arrived, our order was wrong and the food was cold. Today, we stopped in hoping for a better experience. It took us 35 minutes to receive our food (we were a party of 4) even though the restaurant had 6 parties total. We didn't see our server for 30 minutes and we never had anyone check in on the food. All 4 people in my party remarked that the food was average and arrived cold. We had to flag down a server for the bill and then flag down someone else 15 minutes later to take our card. This restaurant is on the pricier side for a burger that doesn't come with a side automatically so it is creating an overpriced feel. Generally a bad experience and we won't be coming back anytime soon. read more

We wrapped up a road trip in Boise and stumbled upon Eureka! on a Monday evening around 9:30 pm and we're so glad we did. We ordered happy hour drinks, which ended up being the best cocktails we had the entire trip. We also enjoyed the Brussels sprouts appetizer, the grilled cheese, and the Napa chicken sandwich. The atmosphere was thoughtfully curated and made for a really enjoyable evening. The food was hands-down the best of everywhere we visited, delicious, flavorful, and paired with excellent service. I ordered from Eureka! for the first time ever today.. sadly, I was a bit disappointed, but I will definitely give them another try. I ordered to go on the app and signed up for the rewards program so I could take advantage of the $10 off first order reward. I ordered the Fresno Fig burger without the bun and the bacon with a side of Honey Cinnamon Sweet Potato fries and a lavender iced tea. I actually really enjoyed the taste of everything I ordered but they forgot a very important part of my burger- the fig marmalade! I understand I ordered it without the bun but still I expected the fig marmalade either on top or at the very least on the side of my burger because that's what makes the fig burger THE FIG BURGER! The burger was still very good as it was with the creamy goat cheese spread and arugula but it was a bummer that they didn't give me the figs for the fig burger! Aside from that I can't complain though... I got a $10 discount and those sweet potato fries with honey and cinnamon are freakin' addictive! The lavender iced tea was good too. It could have used more lavender flavor but not a bad choice though for a non-alcoholic drink. I think next time I order, I will just dine there to ensure I get the fig spread on my burger and then I'm sure it'll be a 5 star experience! read more

Buffet quality food but you don't have to get up from your table. I am not sure why this place is rated so high. Or why the burgers are the star? My burger was way overcooked and the salad that was à la cart felt like it was pulled out of the bottom of a salad bowl at the end of a barbecue. Soggy watery and overcooked. They had trivia so that was pretty cool. Not important for me anymore because I will not be coming back to this place for any type of food. read more

It feels like a locals place with lots of fun slogans on the signs and employee uniforms. They have house made soda pops which is a trend I like. The ginger lime was our choice this night and was a wonderful treat. For dinner we ordered a pulled pork sandwich and a cheeseburger. Both were tasty though they missed the mark by cooking my burger well done when I requested medium rare. We tried the cheese truffle friend and they were good. But beware these fries are not lightly flavored. If truffles aren't your thing you should skip these. The service was friendly but the time from ordering to food on the table was 25 minutes. That is a bit long when they were medium busy. Fun atmosphere and a good place to meet friends. The food is tasty if not quickly survived. The other dish was fish and chips. The portions were small and way over cooked. My jaw hurt from chewing on it. The service, also lackluster. Our server took the drink and meal order and we never saw him again. We were 1 of three parties seated since we arrived when they opened, so it wasn't a busy day for them, just a bad one. read more

Update 2/14/24 I've been to Eureka a few more times and love their happy hour deals. It's a great way to either start or end your evening depending on the night's adventures. We enjoy splitting a burger and appetizer on these occasions. I also love the dog friendly patio, and so does my pup, Millie. The staff are incredibly friendly to her, often bringing water and a treat as she basks in the opportunity to people watch and be pet. Lastly, I still appreciate the commitment to serving local beers, it helps this chain feel more natural in downtown Boise. read more

Came here while wandering around looking for an open restaurant on New Year's Day, and this place did not disappoint. I got the Fresno Fig, and we all agreed that this was our favorite out of everything we ordered. I also got the truffle cheese fries on the side, and everyone was obsessed. My dad got the bison burger, which I personally very much enjoyed. He said the sauce was a little too sweet for him. My mom got a tasty French dip sandwich, but her asparagus was a bit too salty. What a nice place! We did dine early for dinner and we liked the vibe of this place. Families with young kiddos were most of the patrons during the 4-5pm timeframe. I can see the patrons changing to young and hip crowd as the evening wears on. Can I describe a place as upscale casual? We ordered the cauliflower bites as our appetizer. It was slightly underdone to be perfect but I really enjoyed the bonito flakes that gave it a bit of a flavor kick. (3/5) Our server was great and made great recommendations. I ordered the spicy fried chicken sandwich and my guy ordered the double smash burger. My chicken was fried perfectly and had a good flavor combination with the mildly spicy sauce (4/5) My guy liked his burger and it was described as "elevated diner burger" Make sure you leave room for dessert! We finished with the bourbon barrel cake. My guy placed this dessert as top 5 desserts he's ever had. We were looking for a place to watch the World Cup game and the photos from Yelp showed plenty tvs and a large beer selection so this was the place to be! The place was packed since there was a Boise State game on as well. We found some open seats at the bar and were quickly greeted with menus and a rundown of the special beers they had on tap. I opted for the beer flight since I don't make it to Boise ever so I wanted to try some local beers. My wife went with a sour cocktail which was bourbon based and very fluffy and sweet. The standout was the bison burger. It was the perfect amount of spice and so juicy. They say it is "rare to find a medium well done" but this medium was indeed medium with great pink and great char on the outside. The fries were great but you could tell they were sitting a minute. The burger more than made up for it though and it was a slight inconvenience considering how busy it was. read more

With so many dining options on this street, It's important to know what to expect if you choose Eureka! out of all the choice dining in the area. Our party of five popped in on Saturday afternoon around 1 PM. They had plenty of space to immediately seat us. The waitress, hostess, and all the staff we encountered were very friendly. The one page menu had a variety of options, but not too many choices. The other side of the menu is a full page of beer and wine selections as they have a full bar. I ordered the fish tacos, my teenage son had the French dip sandwich, my teenage daughter had the chicken fingers, and my in-laws ordered a burger and the fish and chips. Everyone was very pleased with the food. My fish taco was on the spicy side but it was delicious. We tried the mac & cheese balls, which were OK. The French dip sandwich was fabulous. Overall, I'd say the food was good and everyone was pleased. Service was very good. With tip for the five of us our bill came to just about $140. read more

We stopped here after we had spent the day at the Old Idaho Penitentiary. The whole street was REALLY cool ! I called to see about reservations, they said they do not do reservations but to go on their website and get on the waiting list. So I did. Oh FYI, the waiting list is under Dine Now on their website, took me forever to figure that out ‍ We found the place, and like I said, the whole street is really cool ! When we got there our table was ready, there was just a slight problem. I'm a big girl and I let them know in the comments of the waitlist section so when we got there I was hoping for a bench. But they had these chairs that no marshmallow peeps, like me could sit on. I went up to a lady and asked her about some empty benches. She said they're only for a part of 8-10 people. Grr. Okay. We were a party of 5. Luckily I spot a long bench outside, walk up again and said please can we have that bench outside, I have a fat a$$ and these chairs are killing me. They said oh sure! Thank goodness. I'm actually glad we got outside, it was prettier. We sat down & looked over our menus. I loved how they had more than just soda for us non alcoholic peeps. They had really cool ice teas and lemonades. My daughter got the Charcoal Lemonade, and we got The lavender ice tea. Which was nice and refreshing and not on the too sweet side. My husband got the Watermelon Spicy something (sorry) and he said it tasted good. And my son got the Ginger Lime Soda and actually my husband and other daughter wished they had gotten that one. They said that one was their favorite. If you love ginger, that one is really good. Okay so the food.... Yumm! Me & my husband ordered the marrow burger and WoW that was delicious. He had his with no modification but I ordered no horseradish mustard aoli, instead I changed it to the garlic aoli and yummmm !! I also ordered a side of broccolini to chop and put in the burger. I loved it. One note, the broccolini has red chili flakes and the fried Mac n cheese balls also has spice in it. Which I wish was mentioned. Me and my daughter are wimps with spice . We had changed the fries to these delicious truffle Parmesan fries.... Again YUMMM ! It comes with a cheese sauce, make sure you get it. It's so good. It's been a few years since we've been back in Boise and had to stop at Eureka for dinner to see if it's still as great as we remembered. It was!! We were seated and Anthony our server was pretty knowledgeable on the different whiskeys. They have a pretty good selection. To eat I wanted the dry rub wings and he suggested the Bourbon smoke wings which were excellent and also a little messy. My husband had the All-Day Burrito which he loved. We had an excellent meal, always being checked on to see if we needed anything else. Next time we are in town we will be back. read more

Went to Eureka! for a school fundraiser night. I had to ask for the server to come greet us and take our order after about 5-10 mins of waiting. I ordered the Smash Burger ($14) with a Caesar salad as the side (+$4). The food arrived a little later than expected and I was very underwhelmed. The burger was super basic, little sauce and 1 pickle chip. It was the size of a McDonald's double cheeseburger. Overall it was decent tasting, but a bit over-cooked. The salad was literally the size of a small child's fist. At the end of the meal I felt uneasy about spending $20 (with tax) for the meal I was provided. I felt ripped off. I will have a hard time recommending this restaurant. I hope others have a better experience than I did. read more

We had an absolutely amazing time at Eureka! My parents were in town and it was such a wonderful place to go and have a nice long visit with great food and wonderful drinks. Our waiter, Daniel, was fantastic, and acted as the perfect host for the evening, recommending great drinks and delicious menu items while accommodating some dietary restrictions. I had the truffle mushroom burger and it's highly recommended by this burger conesiour. I mean any menu item with truffle in it has me hook line and sinker, but this truffle cheese sauce is goooood folks. We've eaten at places all around Eureka, but finally made the decision to stop in here last weekend. Why did we wait so long?? Not sure, but it was worth the wait. Read some reviews of some fellow Yelper friends, and actually ended up ordering exactly what their favorites were. Cowboy burger and the Spicy Chicken Sandwich. I highly suggest the Truffle fries or the Mac n Cheese balls as an option with your entree. I can say for sure that the items we ordered were well prepared and very pleasant to the taste buds.
