Came here 10/6 to eat, watch football and have a few drinks at the bar. It was quite busy and I thought about leaving because there was only one person tending bar and waitressing the bar area. I thought I'd wait forever to get served. To my amazement the bartender (her name was Amanda) handled the room with ease. She promptly took my order, served me numerous beverages and was just a fun person to everyone. She literally never stopped moving. Only decent thing they make are chicken wings. Bartenders are nice and drinks are reasonably priced. Otherwise, don't waste your time, money, or stomach lining to eat here. The problem is that this place COULD be really great......if there was someone in the kitchen that had any sort of passion for food. I've eaten there a few times....because I didn't feel like cooking, so we went out. Everything here is just "lower average". I ate here while in town during Labor Day visiting friends and attending the state fair. Immediately upon entering, I could tell it was a local gathering place, with guests that included families to couples to friends just hanging at the bar. We were quickly greeted and seated by a friendly hostess, and upon sitting down, it was not long before our waitress arrived requesting our drink order. Whereas I settled for a plain cheeseburger (which was delicious), my friend opted for the prime rib. I had a few bites and it was absolutely wonderful! Different from what we initially expected, but a pleasant surprise. This is "good ole' country cooking." BEST PART: chocolate pie & peanut butter butter pie. OH! And somewhat surprisingly, their pizza is exceptional! read more

We have here many times. The service really stinks. With the many times we have been there we have not had a nice waitress. The food was good until the last few times we went. The manager argued with us regarding our food not being good. We will not be going back! read more

Fish dinners on Friday nights. There is usually a wait, but if you don't mind walking upstairs there is more seating there. The nice thing about this place is it looks exactly the same as when I went with my parents as a kid. They have to be doing something right to stay in business for all of these years read more

Food was great, waiter brought my friends sandwich to a different table so they gave us 2 complementary beers dhile he waited 2 minutes for his sandwich. Kids were happy, steak was great, potato skins were amazing, crab legs were fantastic. Service was nice, busy due to a party upstairs but overall a great experience read more

The very definition of a has-been local favorite. Good restaurants can have bad nights, that shows in the service OR food quality. But when the restaurant fails at both at the same time AND management doesn't acknowledge your private complaint, then you ate at a bad restaurant. I used their website's Contact Us with the following on May 7 and haven't heard a peep from them: I am disappointed in the Euclid after our 1st visit last night. We try to avoid chain restaurants but was reminded last night that chains provide a necessary component for a night out: quality. My wife and I entered last night when the place was less than 1/3 full but the hostess attempted to seat us at a very tiny table in the middle barely 2' from another table of diners. We requested to sit somewhere further from other diners and she obliged. But the next group seated was placed at the table right next to ours; this made for an uncomfortably close experience. (Especially as the other table often had phlegm-filled noisy coughs which you have no control over but set the scene for an unenjoyable meal.) After being excited about the variety on the menu (and the reputation for good food) we ordered and waited. And waited. About 10 minutes later the waitress brought out 2 dinner rolls with a huge basket of too-cold butter. Finally get our meal and my wife's cheese burger was ordered medium but was so thin that it was impossible to cook to any temperature. And we are woefully unimpressed that American was the ONLY style of cheese available. My chicken & biscuits was something. Plenty of chicken and gravy, couldn't see the biscuits until I started eating. But I'm glad I asked for the peas & carrots side dish because that plate was void of color otherwise. The peas had an obvious and unpleasant canned taste and the chicken/gravy was very salty. Nothing about our order should have taken more than 5 minutes to prepare - the burger was so thin is would cook within a few minutes and the chicken/biscuits was surely a scoop-and-serve plate. Yet we waited far too long for the unimpressive food. And I'm shocked there wasn't an attempt to make even a portion of our meal be actually homemade. It was all so obviously pre-packaged. (The dinner rolls were decent, but still served as they were bought straight-from-the-store, still connected and not warmed.) We muddled through the meal because we were on a bit of a schedule and are not the kind of couple to incessantly make a scene. We decided to simply scratch this place off our "local-restaurant" list. And something about her meal made my wife's stomach uneasy the rest of the evening, including vomiting within an hour of the meal. (No, not food poisoning obviously, but just the general experience combined with the unsettled food.) I share our experience in hopes that honest feedback is taken seriously and not attributed to being a grumpy customer. We're new to the area and thought we'd give it a try. Took the family including my elderly aunt. It was great for her with drop off right at the front door and no steps to climb. We were pleasantly surprised with a $2.95 kid's menu for our 3. This place is very family friendly. Our waitress was great with everyone... very friendly. My wife had the fried chicken... said it was the best she'd had in a long time. My aunt had the fish dinner,... she loved it,..."she's tough". My Prime Rib was perfect. Good service.... way above average food... we will be back. read more

Went to the Euclid on a busy Saturday night around 6:30-7:00. Had to wait about 15-20 minutes for a table, no problem there. Very friendly and attentive waitress. Food was good, diner fare food, that we ordered. Fried chicken was very good but was probably out of a Sysco box. It came with steak fries that could have been fried a little longer. Roast beef dinner, while good, was slices of meat that you would have in an open faces sandwich, not thick slices. Fried clams were also not homemade. Salads were okay but simple, lettuce and a tomato wedge. Overall good but just a touch high in price. Not enough to avoid the place! read more

My wife and I went here Wednesday night for food and drinks and sat at the bar. We ordered a few appetizers to pick on and they were good.(as good as expected for fried finger foods) Kelly was the most pleasant attentive bartender we have ever had the pleasure of having. She was constantly smiling and a joy to talk with. Great hometown bar atmosphere, decent food and excellent service! Overall we had a very nice time and will definitely be back. read more

I love this place and come here for the food and great service as much as I can. Today however sucked. Sat at the bar for 20 min while the old bartender just ignored me. She waited on everyone who came in long after me and refilled regulars drinks and ran quickdraw ticktets while I just sat quietly. Not a hello, nothing. Well I will still continue to go at night when Shelby works because she knows customer service. I manage a restaurant and know customer service and if one of my staff ignored customers they would not be allowed to work the bar. After 20 minutes of waiting I just got up and left. I would have understood if it was busy but there was only 8 people there. Restaurants make almost nothing on quickdraw as far as sales and i would have spent at least $50 bucks on food and drinks and always tip upwards of 30% so I guess the business and the bartender are the ones who lost out. Found a piece of metal in my philly cheese steak. They apologized by saying that it wasn't them and was in the box of meat and gave me another. They didn't strike it from the bill. I'm glad I didn't cut my mouth. They said they'd provide separate checks and then panicked when they realized they hadn't. We had to tally our servings ourselves. Have been here many times. It's a nice comfortable family atmosphere. It can get a little crazy on a Friday or Saturday night but on our last visit my husband daughter and I were seated quickly despite it being busy. The service is usually very good friendly and knowledgeable. However on this visit the waitress didn't seem like she could be bothered with anyone of the four tables she was serving. She couldn't be bothered to make any conversation begging beyond taking our orders and only checked on us once near the end of our meal. On the other hand our food was delicious. I always go for the seafood platter.... Huge portions of haddock, clam strips, sea scallops and shrimp with two sides of your choice (I chose fries and coleslaw). My husband chose the open faced prime rib sandwich with fries and I forget his other side. The meat was really tender and well seasoned, very tasty. We got our two year old a grilled cheese off the kids menu that came with HUGE sides of fries and pasta with sauce, she gobbled it up. The meal ended up two meals for all three of us for a very reasonable price. I've never had a bad meal here and will continue to return in the future. The atmosphere prices and food definitively cancel out the terrible waitress last time. read more

I had the chicken and biscuits, it was terrible. tiny pieces of can chunk chicken in a flour pasty gravy with one hard as a rock biscuit. tasted bad, not worth the time or money. we usually love going there for good food but todays experience made us rethink of futurevisits. read more

They did a fantastic job on Mother's Day. Food was outstanding , service was exceptional. Those people were running their tails off making sure the customers were treated like royalty. They gave up their day with their own mother to cater to the customers. However, I witnessed many customers being rude,nasty and demanding to the staff. If these customers wanted their meals immediately they should have stayed home,made their own dinner or went to McDonald's. No excuse to treat the staff as I witnessed. The kitchen staff did their very best to get the food out as quickly as they could. Food is always exceptional. Make sure you visit this restaurant. You won't be disappointed. read more

I've visited the Euclid Restaurant on a number of occasions and have always found them to be very accommodating. They are one of the few restaurants I can afford to take my entire family out to thanks to their Kids Meals and over all prices. There food is delicious and often offer home style you can't find any where else. and the portions for the price are amazing. My kids love it there as my husband and I do. They are family friendly.
