The presentation alone was impressive when it came to the table, but more importantly, it was cooked beautifully juicy, tender, perfectly charred on the outside, and packed with flavor. Definitely made for sharing. We paired it with the street corn, which was loaded with seasoning, cheese, and just the right amount of spice. It was the perfect side to balance out such a rich steak. The Hideaway also nails the atmosphere. It's intimate, stylish, a little sexy, and feels tucked away from everything even though you're right in Beverly Hills. The whole place makes dinner feel like an experience. Great steak, great sides, beautiful setting, and a really fun night out. Definitely 5 stars for me.

I really like this place but I have to be honest about my experience. Let's start with the fact…read morethat the ambiance is beautiful. I love the vibe and the decor. When I approached the restaurant's hostess stand there was nobody there so I just waited patiently for a few moments for someone to come. A young lady entered behind me and walked past the hostess stand carrying a cake and I assumed that she was maybe already inside. But no, she walked past me and grabbed the hostess's attention as she was heading back to the hostess stand. The hostess did help her out even though she came in after me.. And I was still at the hostess stand waiting. It did kind of leave a little bit of a mark in my mind but it didn't ruin the night for me. All of the staff was very helpful and friendly. My food was good for the most part but what we ordered was not worth what I spent. I ordered the Tablita. The meat was seasoned perfectly and delicious. I also prefer a medium well steak. Several pieces of my steak were charred to the point of bitterness around the edges. My biggest issue with the Tablita is the sides are not enough to share. There was about a cup of rice and one cup of beans to split between two people. All of the sides and condiments were basically enough for one person. The grilled onions, the guacamole, the Pico and pickled onions were a great compliment to the meal, but I still don't believe the $145 price tag was worth it. I understand that this is a Mexican style steakhouse, but even at steakhouses shareable meals include shareable sides. We ordered an extra side of the Esquites and honestly, it reminded me more of corn with taco seasoning than actual street corn. Unfortunately, we didn't eat most of the corn. Also, it was my mom's birthday. I put that it was her birthday on the reservation and that was not acknowledged by anyone.. That was a little bit disappointing. Most steakhouses do some sort of a birthday acknowledgment. I can't say that the experience was completely ruined. My mom still enjoyed herself. And it was an opportunity for us to try something new. I would come back again and maybe try happy hour or tacos at the bar. But I 100% certain will never order those same items again. Bonus points for having very delicious chips and salsa and purse hooks at every table at least on the patio.

The best dining experience in Beverly Hills I've ever had!…read more From the moody decor to the food to the service, everything was so well curated and refined. The caviar omakase is the must order thing here. Everything is very small bites, but if you are mostly there for drinks then à la carte is a good option. The omakase was fantastic - nice sized portions of caviar, paired with thoughtful items like a mini lobster roll, a salmon burger, and even ice cream. The drinks are also delightful - you can taste the notes of every ingredient and nothing was too overpowering or unbalanced. But the service is by far the main reason we'll be back. The staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly, on top of being knowledgeable and presenting the menu in a well practiced way. They made this birthday dinner so special and went above and beyond. They do automatically add gratuity but I would've tipped more than that if possible. Incredible spot in Beverly Hills and more private and tucked away than some of the overly packed tourist destinations.

We ended up at the Maybourne Bar in the Maybourne hotel, a solid B+ lobby bar that I'd visit again under similar circumstances. The space was attractive but the vibe was strange, if not uncomfortable. Just weirdly bright lighting and a different crowd from the usual L.A. bar scene (hotel, Beverly Hills). It was pretty quiet at 10:00 on a Saturday night, and we were able to grab seats at the bar. Service was fast and polite. We ordered a Midas Touch and a Big in Japan, both decent cocktails that cost a full $30 apiece. The Midas Touch was a colorful spicy margarita with El Tesoro Maybourne Edition Reposado, Empirical Ayuuk, Grand Marnier Louis Alexandre, saffron, lemon, and honey. Big in Japan was a Gold Rush variation with Hibiki Harmony, sudachi honey, lemon, sansho pepper, and yuzu bitters. There are better, more interesting cocktail bars all over L.A., but I'd recommend the Maybourne Bar if you're staying at the hotel or otherwise looking for an upscale bar in downtown Beverly Hills. You can get food, too, though most of it seems to involve caviar.

My friend and I were a bit boozed out from the night before, so we stuck with a handful of sharable platters including California rolls and ceviche, all tasted amazing. Nothing was too heavy and the portions were all manageable, not too small or too large. The outdoor seats were very cushy and comfortable, it's perfect for sitting with your fur baby, and the restaurant provided water bowls upon request as well. Servers were all really friendly and the food did not take long to come out, though it wasn't too busy that Sunday afternoon around 3pm. Would definitely come back here to try the cocktails with other fusion bites next time we're in the area!

Drinks were the highlight--great martinis and well-made cocktails. That said, our bill was over $600, and none of us left full. Portions are tiny. Go for drinks and ambiance, but I'd skip the food.

It took over an hour for our food to come out. Whenever we asked our waiter for an update, he seemed annoyed and would just tell us, "probably another six or seven minutes," rather than actually checking on the status of our food. He also hardly checked in on our table, and we had to ask for drink refills instead of them being offered. At one point, he even spilled food on our table, and overall the service felt inattentive and dismissive. We also had to remind him multiple times that we were celebrating a birthday, which was frustrating considering it was supposed to be a special dinner. For the type of restaurant Dante presents itself as, I expected much better service. Waiting over an hour for our food would have been frustrating on its own, but the lack of communication and the attitude from our waiter made the experience significantly worse. Unfortunately, the service really put a damper on what was supposed to be a birthday celebration.

We had reservations for a Sunday night and were seated at the best table in the house. This speakeasy cocktail lounge is small & dimly lit, which creates a cozy & intimate atmosphere. The Polynesian inspired décor is on point. Bamboo beaded curtains, thatched lamps, tropical prints, & an eight-foot tiki statue add to the charm. Our server Sean was fantastic with a capital F! He entertained us the entire evening. Of course, Tiki cocktails served in kitschy glassware are the main attraction but they also offer Island inspired dishes if you are hungry. (You can also order food from Tail O' The Pup downstairs.) The building was once the recording studio for The Doors, so we had to order The Ghost of Jim Morrison. Sean delivered the flaming drink while singing a Doors tune. Elvis in Hawaii arrived on a platter with an Elvis head on it. Lucky Tiki Old Fashioned was presented in a treasure chest with smoke coming out of it. The Flying Fish came in a cool Blowfish vessel. The Lucky Mai Tai was one of the best, the Classic Daiquiri was nicely balanced, and the Rum Barrel packed a punch. All the drinks were tasty and strong so we ordered a few nibbles: Coconut Shrimp, Lucky Orange Chicken, & Wok-Fried Chow Mein. The food was yummy and hit the spot. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the presentation of the drinks and ambience. Thank you Sean for making our visit to Lucky Tiki a 5-star experience. *Metered street parking.

Especially the younger male bartender who works on Fridays. I would never go again. Even trying to order another drink somehow feels like you're inconveniencing them. It's genuinely sad how they've managed to ruin what used to be a good thing. There is absolutely no reason to put up with this place when you could go to Cecconi's, the Tower Bar, Bar 1200 at the Sunset Marquis, Jones Hollywood, Laurel Hardware, Ysabel, the Roger Room, On the Rox, or Mic's instead.
