Pretty good choices. Fish tacos, Salmon Kale Salad. Enjoyed the food... even if it's from UberEATS Instead of corn on the cob, get the loose corns.

The rooftop atmosphere is the highlight, it has that perfect indoor/outdoor vibe, It's definitely a hotspot, especially in the evenings when hotel guests and locals come in to grab drinks, relax, and enjoy the lounge atmosphere. The entire hotel has a great social feel, from the lively lobby area with the open bar and pool table downstairs to the rooftop where everyone gathers. The views were amazing too! The food was really good, the drinks were great, and the service was outstanding. We ordered the hamachi, carne asada tacos, fries, and a barbacoa quesadilla. Everything was delish! Our server was genuinely so friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. There is only valet available and it gets pretty packed at night. This is definitely a hot spot for a meet up with friends. Highly recommend for the overall vibes.

The host, Adam, was so welcoming and helpful throughout the evening, checking to make sure we were enjoying our food and drinks, even moving us to a different table since our original one was in a wind tunnel blowing up our dresses. I got two cocktails: 1) the special True Colors cocktail in celebration of Pride Month, with proceeds going to the LGBT Center! It had Tequila, Yuzu, Lychee, Passionfruit, topped with a Hibiscus Mezcal Float and a piece of Rainbow Sour Candy. It was refreshing, delicious, and absolutely gorgeous! 2) the Cosmopolitan: made with Grey Goose Vodka, Pierre Ferrand Dry Curaçao, and cranberry. It was pretty tasty, not exactly like a traditional Cosmo and had a bit of a bite to it, but good enough that I got two. My friend and I shared the guacamole which was a pretty decently sized portion and came with a big basket of chips. We also got the Weho Choco Tacos and they were delectable! It's a bit pricey with drinks ranging from $22-$26, but that's to be expected in Weho and especially on Sunset Boulevard. Just something to keep in mind. The crowd was also so nice! We made friends with the couple sitting next to us and watched the end of the NBA finals together on one of their phones. I also met some nice girls in the bathroom and we had a long conversation about the best clothes to pack for a trip to Europe. Everyone was there to have a good time and it showed!

It's the kind of place where you can take your time exploring different pours rather than rushing through drinks. The selection is impressive, ranging from familiar labels to smaller distilleries you don't see everywhere. The bartender was clearly passionate about the craft and offered a couple of suggestions based on what I usually enjoy. I tried a whiskey I hadn't heard of before, and it turned out to be a great recommendation with a smooth, layered flavor. What I liked most was the atmosphere. It felt social without being overwhelming, making it easy to have a conversation or simply sit back and enjoy the drink. The crowd seemed like a mix of locals and people who genuinely appreciate good spirits. The Phoenix stands out as a spot where whiskey takes center stage, but the environment remains welcoming and unpretentious. It's a great choice if you're looking to unwind with a thoughtfully poured glass in Beverly Grove.

There is also a photobooth but the night I visited, it was not working. A lot of alcoholic drinks were ordered from Moscow Mule to Espresso Martini to some cocktails that are more personalized at The Phoenix. Food was good! I loved the vibe, the bartenders were really accomodating and the drinks + food were all delicious.

The food was good too. Coffee came with a small Madeline. Fresh pot and strong coffee. Refilled with a few check ins. I ordered the butternut squash soup...it was delish and beautiful to look at too. My friend had the Cobb salad, he was happy. He asked for the chopped egg on the side, no problem. We had a leisurely two hour lunch, seated in the area as you enter off the elevator....no city views from seated with striped umbrellas that were kinda worn and dirty, but it was comfy and casual garden-like setting. I did not see the pool beyond since we wanted to stay in the shade so if there were city views from poolside, I didn't get a chance to climb the steps to explore that area, which you can't see from our section. The restroom was only a table away hidden by greenery masking....the hand lotion smelled nice, it was clean restroom but not overly fancy. There was a shift change. And our server introduced the new waiter. Nice. Dessert was the recommendation of our server....he was right, the key lime brulee was 5/5. Light and refreshing, not overly sweet. But it was the service, 10/5. They represent The Pennisula well.

This visit was last summer, so we took advantage of their seasonal Aloha menu. I started with the Shake Your Coconuts cocktail - bright blue, tropical, and instantly transported me to the Islands. We shared the Pupu Platter so we could sample a bit of everything, and every bite was delicious. The standout for me was the grilled seabass. It practically melted in your mouth. The rooftop setting was fantastic - perfect temperature, great ambiance, and a relaxed, vacation-y feel. Our servers were attentive without hovering and made the whole evening feel special. Will we go again? Absolutely. It's already on my list for next summer.

Me and my significant other came inside to grab a drink at the bar and we were denied service because her shoulders were showing. I'm in utter disbelief. It's not like we are coming to a Michelin star dining establishment. This was extremely uncalled for. Especially as a repeat customer. I've been coming here for over 10 years!! Safe to say I will never come back to this location or even South Beverly grill. Not to mention it's 90 degrees outside at 3pm. As a foodie who dined at many Michelin restaurants (you can check my credentials on this app) I.E providence , ossteria mozza, le berniden, citrin, nozawa bar. But at Honor bar we are denied a drink cause my Latina brown skinned girlfriend was showing shoulder. And for context it's not like she was wearing LA casual sports wear. She was in designer capris and a top with expensive jewelry on (I am a jeweler by trade) I am appalled. Here's the kicker. I'm Jewish and they asked me to take my hat off when I can not for religious purposes. This is discrimination on another level.
