ESP HiFi is a great little bar that appeals to all your senses. Not the easiest to find off the street (their sign is small) so listen for the music coming from the many speakers as the bartenders play their choice. As you walk in, you are greeted with the calming scents of a spa and are taken to a candlelit table that glows through amber glass. Their happy hour is literally an hour (4-5pm) and is the Classic Hour with 4 cocktail options, $2 off their natural wine selection, and their not to be missed olives and almonds. My friend and I always compare the olives at other bars/restaurants to ESP HiFi and they cannot compete. The simple but amazing seasoning accentuates the Spanish olives (a lemon and garlic dusting) and the mix of Greek Olives (red pepper flakes). This bar has a unique vibe with all the vinyl records. It's pretty dark inside, so it's definitely more of a place to bring a date than to go with friends (and they offer table service, not just ordering at the bar). It's also a great place to bring someone who's into cocktails, since their cocktails are unique. What a perfect way to end the night. We stopped by ESP after dinner, for a few drinks and loved it! The ambiance was moody and the smell of incenses filled the room. Every drink was crafted perfectly and the music selection was excellent. All the vibes! A hidden gem in Denver! Insane record collection that the bartender chooses from - cool to see the record playing displayed and watch them change out the music! Love the MCM, hipster vibes, smell of incense and variety of drinks! Great spot to kick off a date night. It gets busy by 4:30 PM. Hh daily 4-5 PM. The razor love is made with shoju and was super refreshing - felt light on the alcohol. The mezcal mule on hh was delicious and they have an awesome selection of wine and whiskeys. The wavy white wine was more of an orange wine - tart and tasty ($2 off the glass on hh). We didn't try the bread but the bread service looked to be popular! Easy to miss entrance off Santa Fe Drive. dark interior with low lights and lots of actual candles. They are basically a wine bar with a few cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks + very limited food offerings. They have 2 turntables playing a mix of music from vinyl records with music going thru vacumn tube amplifier and 3 large speakers. I sat at the bar directly in front of one of the speakers. Clear sound. I got an ESP Classic with whiskey, supercarbonated soda and lemon. A refreshing drink. Next I got a Negroni made with Campari and sweet Japanese Bermutto, a type of sake based vermouth. A very strong drink. I will come back earlier in the day for a future visit. read more

This is my favorite nighttime hang out in Denver. If you're a fan of moody lighting, vinyl, and Japanese inspired cocktails then give ESP a try. They spin records all night on an amazing sound system, and they also have alcohol free options. The service has been on point every time I've been in. Wether you're sitting at the bar or at a table, the waitstaff are readily available to answer any questions and help you choose something perfect for your taste. They sell rare records, and have a nice wine collection with bottles to take home as well. Be aware that it is a pretty underground spot, so it's a little difficult to find if it's your first time. Just look for the small sign that says ESP. There's street parking available, but I always recommend Ubering here as it's much easier. read more

This place is super cool! The dim light in is perfect for people who hate bright and white overhead lighting haha (I like feeling like I'm in a cave personally). The service was kind and nothing exceptional. The drinks are very interesting and expensive, but I thought they were pretty unique. I got the Koboyashi San and it was yummy. The only thing that I would say is that the music is quite loud-which made sense considering it is a listening bar. However, it can be a bit difficult to hear someone else-I went here on a first date which made it a bit awkward constantly repeating things but still a good experience regardless. Came on a Wednesday, which is guest DJ night, because i saw that they were having a French pop night. It was a dream, and a perfect place to come just to hang out. It's louder in the evenings than during the day, so something to keep in mind if you're wanting to chat. My highball (kobayashi san) was incredible. Everyone in this place looked cool, seemed to be having a good time, and was just all around spreading good vibes. This is going to be my new place to go when i want some tea or a drink to be alone and listen to good music. And it will also be my new place to take my friends so they think I'm cool. Honestly in a bit of a shady spot... we couldn't find the entrance and got a bit scared at first lmao.. but once we found the door and walked in it was like we got transported to a Japanese hotel bar. My partner said it reminded him of the hostel in Tokyo. The cocktails (Candy Says and Fiona) were strong but the bread and jam were delicious. Would recommend the highballs over the cocktails if you're not into liquor forward cocktails. Presentation was beautiful. Definitely a great date spot or a meeting spot for a small group of friends. Definitely best to be prepared for loud music even though the record picks were definitely amazing. The look of the menu and the ambiance were so sweet and the servers were cool looking as well. When walking up to the place, you can definitely miss it if you're not paying attention. The location is very low key. I was excited to see what was inside. When walking in, it was an immediate vibe. It was very romantic or hipster depending on your vibe. The whole point of this place was the music on records and the ambiance of listening to music. The soundboards and records on display were a cool touch. I ordered a mocktail and surprisingly they had a few interesting choices that caught my eye! Always love going to a place that makes a non drinker feel included. I would hesitate to go here if you want to catch up with friends since it's very minimal on the lighting (only candlelit) and the volume is very high so it's hard to hear others at your table. I didn't realize how close this place was to wash park. There is limited street parking along Santa Fe. It's pretty easy to miss this place, it's kind of discreet. The inside is very nicely decorated. I went during the evening and it was sooooooo dark. Way too dark for my taste. They say us right next to the speaker so I couldn't hear a thing. We ended up sitting on a couch in the front. They have two non alcoholic mocktail options. Only one of them looked good to me so I got the cranberry one. It was very tasty but also $8. Not a fan of getting charged the same as alcoholic drinks. read more

We went in the late morning for some coffee, and upon entering were greeted with relaxing music all from two turn tables at the bar. The coffee was delicious, but I will say I wish they had a few snacks to order to go with the coffee. Later in the day, they have cocktails that I hear are great, so we'll need to head back. When you step into this place it's almost like you've stepped into your grandma's/grandpa's basement but in a good way haha. The vibe is super chill with a beautiful bar set-up and cozy tables clustered together (emphasis on how close they are together haha). The vinyls lining the walls are quite the neat decorative touch. Plus at the main section of the bar there's a vinyl record player built into the area which is a super cool and retro feature. I would say this place definitely made me feel kinda hipstery - but not in a bad way! I came here after walking around for the First Friday on Sante Fe art fest and got a Paper Moon - it was quite good! This place is so hip, so cool, so fresh, but without the HIPSTER ONLY vibe. It's got the most stunning record collection with great sounding speakers. But what got me is, the song that my Dad listened to in the late 70s/early 80s was playing (I hadn't heard it since then) and since it didn't come up on Shazam, I popped up and asked the bar who sang it. They knew right away it was Weather Report, but didn't know the name of the song. However, before I left, they had wrote it down and the waitress left it for me. 125th and Congress! How these 20 somethings even knew the name of the band is behind me but I'm impressed with the place, bottom line! read more

I can't say enough good things about this place. The ambiance is one of a kind. Very moody, intimate, and small to where you aren't getting lost in a crowd either. The midcentury style pairs perfectly with the vinyl music, trendy staff, and unique cocktails. They have an impressive whiskey collection as well. Their drinks are phenomenal, each with a unique twist, but they can obviously also craft traditional cocktails as well. You can tell that the staff really thinks about the ambiance and how the place truly feels when you walk in. Any bar can decorate and crank out trendy cocktails, but this place makes you feel like you're relaxing at home even within the first 5 minutes of your first visit. Really a neat spot! Super secretive door - yellow light and two benches with their address number, and that's it. I love the way they have the music travel around the place. There's a variety of seating options too, but whether it be bar or table, you must be sat. There were friends catching up, dates, individuals working, and more on an early Monday evening. They dimmed the lights and turned the music up a bit too loud around 6. I got the Norwegian Wood cocktail, which was divine. My friend got the warm Cinnamon Girl cocktail, which also was yummy - but they served the liquor in a mug and a glass of warm water next to it ... we had to ask how much to mix, when to do it, etc. If you're going to have us finish mixing a cocktail, please let us know how best to do it for the right proportions.
