Ate a few slices already. The slices are huge
    Jeff C.

Amazing pizza exactly what I was looking for. We ordered 4 slices. One slice was two slices basically for a large pizza so 4 slices basically filled the large pizza box. Very limited seating here but just walk a block and go eat at the park. Service was great and very fast.

If you want heavy, flavorful, cheesy pizza by the slice this is definitely one to add on your list! So much variety and options to choose from! All the slices are GINORMOUS. The crust is exactly sturdy enough to support the weight of all the toppings but give it a good fold down the middle and you're golden Note: when you buy 1 slice they give you 2 so it's not really $9-10 for two slices haha.

WOW they call that one slice??? It really is two slices and when it was served I thought I would never finish it but it was so good I at the entire thing! It is a tourist hot spot, and was super crowded but people sat with strangers and everyone was having a great time talking, laughing and eating! Thanks, Ernesto's, for feeding the masses as we walked the Freedom Trail!

I'd be doing a great disservice to not remind Bostonians and inform Visitors where I have believed for years the North End's best pizza slices are to be found.

    Nice crust bbq chicken

As always a great pizza spot with many slice options. The single slice is really two slices in size. The bbq chicken is my option here . The crust is a nice chew. I like Ernesto's for slices , Pizzeria Regina for beer and pizza when no line waiting to get in , Antico's for dining and pizza , umberto Galleria (only open days til they run out and close 2-3 pm is the issue here) . These are my pizza spots when near the Northend

5 STARS!!! The pizza tastes great! Also, each slice is huge! They're really two slices!!

Boston native and have never stopped in until now. Great pizza and quick line. Pro tip: a "slice" of pizza is actually 2 slices. For an inflationary economy, $6 is not a bad deal at all and I believe it was just recently raised from $4 from the posted Yelp menu pics. They also offer beer and wine for great prices. Not sure it's the "best pizza in the U.S." as they claim but it's pretty darn good.

We were exploring North End and needed a snack for later and decided to stop by and get some slices. We got the eggplant pizza to go and it was good. A good option if you want something and quick and with good flavor.

cheese pizza - technically one slice

Solid pizza in North End! One slice is actually two slices so keep that in mind when ordering. With the big portions, it is a pretty good and delicious deal. I tried the classic cheese pizza and it was enjoyable. The crust was crispy and there was lots of cheese.

Pretty solid place for pizza. I have no idea what I got. I asked for two of their most popular and I don't remember what they gave us but one was pepperoni and one was alfredo based. It comes with two giant slices. It was pretty good. Just wanted to try some Boston pizza. We weren't feeling the alfredo one as much but definitely check them out.

Ernesto's is always our go to for an affordable and delicious pepperoni pizza! Pizzas are always ready within 10 minutes and the slices are HUGE - for 2 people we always split it into 2 meals haha so you can call it meal prep

2 slices of pepperoni and a pepsi

I stumbled on this hole in the wall pizza place while walking around. I figured a quick slice sounds good right now. Didn't expect much. I am happy i stopped. The sauce and crust were amazing. Its a bit greasy but thats how i like it. Stop on by and get a slice! Oh and i dont know if its a combo or something but when you order a slice and a drink, they give you 2 slices. Amazing! And this place gets crowded so the pizza is always coming out the oven fresh. 10/10 i will be coming again

Was looking for pizza and this spot drew us in with the smell coming from their open windows. In the 20min we were there it went from quiet to packed and bustling. It's a great place to grab a quick bite. There are a few tables inside but would be hard for a group larger than 4 to sit down. Overall solid pizza and can't beat the price.

    Happy customer with free refills!!

Not as good as Regina's. Maybe I had an old slice. Crust was crispy, pizza didn't fall apart when you fold it, and the sauce was good.

As the name "Mercato" implies, it's not a restaurant, so no place to eat, no place to "do your business" after, and if you've made it to the north end, you already know there's no place to park. -- Italian Sandwich: Long, soft bread, kinda like the kind you had in your school cafeteria, only a million times softer, a million times more crackly, and a million times better. Setting the base are oil, balsamic vinegar, lettuce, tomato, pickles, hots, and provolone. Italian sandwiches usually come flat-stacked or in a C-shape. Here, it's a fluffy stack, with the VERY-thin-sliced-to-order meats-- prosciutto, mortadella, salami-- piled generously but delicately, like tissue paper. More oil and balsamic on the other side seals the deal. It's a glorious sandwich that'll fill you up with the first half, but you'll want to keep eating the second half, because it's so good. The deep flavors of the meats comes through, and that's soft, crunchy bread is a delight. Pro tip #1: Get it with a small side of pesto. Have some bites with, some bites without. Pro tip #2 (in more ways than one): Plan your restroom visit at the nearby Boston Public Market. Pro tip #3: Plan your eating near the Paul Revere statue on Hanover Street, at the basketball court down Stillman Street, or on the Greenway down Hanover Street.

However per my cousin, it was absolutely a gamble getting into Monica's due to its popularity. It's your typical Italian deli and stocked with many of yummy bites. Being a Mediterranean restaurant surrounded by all the Italian restaurants in the North End could…read moreeasily get lost in the shuffle, but Mood Restaurant & Cafe absolutely has its own identity. I think it's really cool to have that kind of variety in the neighborhood. When you walk in, there's a nice mix of seating. There's seating by the windows, booth-style seating, and other tables throughout the restaurant. I really liked being able to sit where I could get some natural light. You can also somewhat see into the open kitchen, including where the coffee is being made, which gives the space a little extra energy. One accessibility note: like many places in the North End, this restaurant isn't particularly accessible for people using wheelchairs or other adaptive devices. There are about three or four stairs to get inside, so that's something to be aware of before visiting. Now, let's get to the FOOD because I was specifically craving chicken kebabs and Mood delivered! I ordered the chicken shish kebab, and both the flavor and the overall presentation were delicious. When the plate first came out, I was actually nervous because the portion looked a little small. But I was full at the end. So don't let the initial portion size fool you. At least with the chicken shish kebab, it was definitely more filling than it looked. And then there was coffee. I'm not normally a coffee drinker, but sometimes the little things matter. I've been to several restaurants, especially French restaurants, where they don't have white sugar, and if I'm going to indulge in coffee, I need my white sugar! So when I found out Mood had white sugar, I was like, okay, we're in business. The coffee itself was fine, but honestly, having the option I wanted made the experience better. I also really appreciated that they have a mocktail menu. I ordered one of their specialty mocktails, and it was good! Mine had a little spice to it, which gave it an interesting flavor and made it more than just a sweet drink. Another little detail I enjoyed was seeing someone training another person while we were there. Just watching the interaction and seeing someone learn the ropes added another dimension to the experience. Sometimes those little behind-the-scenes moments make a restaurant feel more personable. Overall, I really enjoyed Mood. Great food, a welcoming atmosphere, natural light, different seating options, mocktails, and a Mediterranean menu that gives you something different from the many Italian restaurants surrounding it. I'd absolutely suggest giving Mood a try, and yes, I'll be returning myself!

I had an extremely disturbing experience here tonight with my mother…read more About 20 minutes after arriving, my mother realized that the dish she ordered contained noodles when she had thought it came with rice. We politely asked our waitress whether it could be changed. The waitress was very kind and said she would see what she could do. A man who identified himself as the chef/owner then came out from the kitchen. He told us we would have to pay the difference to change the dish, but the interaction quickly became unnecessarily aggressive. He raised his voice and pointed his finger toward us. I asked him to please stop pointing and speak to us respectfully. The disagreement escalated. At one point I offered to pay and leave. What concerned me far more than the food dispute, however, was what happened when we attempted to exit. The chef/owner physically positioned himself at the entrance and prevented us from leaving while calling the police. My mother and I were extremely distressed. My mother also says he put his hands on her during the confrontation. I called for police assistance as well. Boston police ultimately responded, took our information, and spoke with everyone involved. At my mother's request, we agreed to resolve the immediate dispute there and paid the entire $96 bill, even though most of our food had not been eaten. I understand that restaurants have policies regarding ordered food, and I would have been perfectly willing to have a normal discussion about the bill. My complaint is about how the situation was handled and, particularly, being physically prevented from leaving. The waitress was kind and professional throughout. Unfortunately, our interaction with the chef/owner was the opposite. I'm documenting my experience because customers should be able to disagree about an order or bill without an interaction escalating to this level.
