    10oz sirloin and corn risotto

I can't tell you the last time I had a steak that needed not one drop of steak sauce, but this one definitely didn't. Not only was it bursting with flavor the texture was perfect and juicy. The risotto was also seasoned very well and not greasy like a lot of other risotto dishes I have tried before. The service was very professional, warm, and pleasing to the point to where I can't wait to return to try something different and feel pampered by their staff. We sat in a back area that was closed off and dimly lit. The one large piece of art on the back wall with white peony flowers was glowing and just mesmerizing to me. The pricing was very reasonable. Try it out.

Came here during a work trip. I love the ambience here. Food was delicious. The steak was well seasoned and cooked. We had the bone-in ribeye and filet. Not crazy about the service. We were waiting at the bar a long time. I think they forgot about us. Once we asked the hostess, she then seated us right away. They were super slow. Also felt the waitress did not listen to us. She kept on forgetting things. Other than the services, everything else was wonderful.

Another amazing outing at Epic Chophouse. My wife's parents are staying with us over the holidays and they wanted a juicy steak so we treated them to Epic. Everything was top notch as always! My porterhouse was cooked perfectly and incredibly juicy. The sea bass was outstanding. Drinks and cocktails were on point. Jared took great care of us from start to finish with great service and a few good laughs across the table. When your mother in law gives you a huge hug on the way out and thanks you for a perfect evening, you know the restaurant did something right. Thank you Epic for keeping me firmly in the family's good graces!

Came here for our anniversary this year as wanted to try somewhere new. They have put a lot of the thought and energy into the decor, its looks very sophisticated inside. Lots of tables and booths but are arranged in a way that you can select seats with some privacy which is nice. When we were seated I appreciated the extra touch of rose petals and an anniversary card on the table since I indicated it was an anniversary celebration on the reservation. Our waitress was lovely and wished us happy anniversary and asked our secret to martial success! We started our evening with some cocktails. My husband got a paper plane and I the blood orange blossom. Both were good. We started with the Angry Lobster appetizer (flash fried lobster tails with an jalapeño horseradish honey mustard dipping sauce). A nice light breading that didn't overpower the delicate lobster. The dipping sauce was great. Next we shared the Epic BLT salad which was kind of like a caprese salad, but with bacon. I think it was their seasonal salad offering. I know it is a Steakhouse. But they actually have a huge menu with lots of other options including chicken, pasta, and seafood dishes. I just wasn't in the mood for steak, so I got the Halibut (pan seared with creamed corn risotto, roasted tomato romesco, and asparagus). It was a nicely plated and tasty dish. Large piece of halibut that was perfectly flaky. The corn risotto was creamy and went well with the veggies. I actually didn't eat it all and it reheated nicely the next day. I was worried I'd be let down for not getting steak, but I wasn't at all. This dish also came with a potato side, which wasn't needed but as I was included I got baked potato and took most of that home as well. My husband got the New York Strip with danish blue cheese topping and loaded mashed potatoes. He shared some bites and can attest that their steaks are delicious. They do charge you $5 if you want to swap your potato side for any of the other side options. This kind of annoyed me. I get a potato typically costs less than vegetables these days, but would go a long way if people could get the side they want with their entrees. Additionally, for dessert we ordered the Cookie Skillet. It was warm, gooey, and yum. Perfect sweet ending to a meal. I was also surprised a place like this doesn't offer you a free dessert when you come for a special occasion, that's pretty common for high end restaurants. This is a not a cheap place with seafood entrees averaging $40 and steaks $50 and up. You will spend a lot if you eat here and while yes it's a great meal, think these gestures would go a long way with guests. Regardless, if you like a good chophouse and are comfortable spending on a quality meal, this is a great option in Greensboro.

We went to Epic Chophouse for our anniversary. Right away I loved the decor and lovely wait staff. We were seated right away near the large wine fridge. It was a neat spot. I ordered the cranberry walnut bread, angry lobster, lobster bisque, and Hawaiian ribeye for my main. All were divine! I also ordered a delicious seasonal old fashioned. The evening was great! Epic is for sure one of the best steak restaurants in Greensboro!

What a unique way to spend my birthday. Usually I'm an Italian dinner all the way birthday boy with chicken parmesan and pasta, etc. when it comes to my birthday or special occasions. And then again, I had just treated myself to chicken parmesan when The Wizard of Oz closed last week so I decided to break out of my box and leave it up to the kids as to where we would go. They suggested Epic Chophouse which I had never been to so it was not only an opportunity to try something new for my birthday but a new Yelp review. I know this site has hosted other restaurants in the past that did not make it but this one seemed to be getting really good reviews from everybody so I was glad we would be going. The inside is very elegant and I liked how our table had a privacy setting that made you feel like you had your own little dining room. I kind of gasped when I looked at the prices, but the kids insisted that I get whatever I want. Veering from my normal picking the cheapest thing on the menu, I decided to go for the ribeye. Turns out Erik was thinking of getting the ribeye as well so he suggested we get the tomahawk. I could not imagine us ordering a piece of meat for $110, but the kids thought it was a great idea and so we did it. Wow! Wow!! Everything was absolutely delicious. The calamari appetizer was plentiful and quite tasty. The meat on the ribeye was succulent and just divine. The potato side was cheesy and scrumptious. I could not believe it but Erik and I actually finished the entire ribeye. Not only did we finish it but I had the audacity to pick up that huge bone in my hands and gnawed down on it and bit off every bit of meat that I could. I loved it! So much fun!! So why am I not giving it five stars? Here are the reasons. You're going to charge me $110 for a piece of meat but you could not put a basket of rolls down on the table? You're going to charge me $110 for a piece of meat but it does not come with a salad or a side other than a potato? You're going to charge me $110 for a piece of meat and even though my kids told you it was my birthday and you wished me a happy birthday when I arrived, the restaurant could not afford to bring me a lousy little scoop of ice cream with a candle? How cheap! I really loved the experience and I love that the kids were such sports to take me to such a place. I am not one who will spend $110 on a piece of meat and certainly not when they won't even bring me a cupcake for my birthday. With that being said, if you are looking for an upscale restaurant with a lovely ambiance and delicious meat, Epic Chophouse is the place for you

    Filet medallions + shrimp
    Deena S.

By far my favorite steakhouse in Greensboro. The moment you walk in the door you're warmly greeted by staff, granting you the first example of the level of service you will experience from all of the friendly, wonderful staff. This is a great location for a celebration or special event. They will ask you if you are celebrating something once they seat you and try to elevate the experience even more if you are. Now for the food. It's all delicious. I've been several times and have not had a bad dish. This visit I got the fillet medallions and shrimp (I can't recall the dish name but under specialties) with a side of asparagus with hollandaise. My mom also got the Mac and cheese as one of her sides at the server's recommendation and it was definitely a winner! The atmosphere of the restaurant is upscale and chic so it is a whole vibe. Great for a date night or celebrations. Definitely make sure to make a reservation and factor in a few extra minutes for parking. It can be tough on a busy night.

Amazing dining experience! I wasn't sure what to expect so I was thinking Epic would be a standard steak house chain, but it was completely elevated. It felt like a fine dining experience. Our service was amazing, patiently helping us pick through the wine list and very attentive overall. It was dark and moody and romantic, a really nice vibe. But most importantly, the food was TO DIE FOR. Our steak were so delicious and cooked to perfection and the sides were quality. We wrapped up with the cookie skillet which was awesome. They even had a card on the table upon arrival because we told them it was my husbands birthday. We will absolutely be back!!

This was my 5th time here!! Jaz was a delightful waitress! She suggested the side of marinara with the cheese toast appetizer. WHOA!! That was so gooooddd!!!!! My ribeye was mouth watering deliciousness. Hubby's burger was good & flavorful as well. The fries were hot & crispy. Everything was amazing, as usual!! I have told my husband we need to come and just order apps....that's so hard to do when the entrees are so enticing! I can't wait to return again soon!! (Just wish they didn't upcharge to change the sides-$5 ea ‍)

DOUBLE CUT RACK OF LAMB with loaded baked potato
    Marie C.

We dined here while visiting Greensboro, NC and had reservations for 6:30 PM on a Saturday. Our party of four was seated promptly upon arrival. There was no complimentary house bread, but we ordered the artisan cranberry walnut bread (half), which was fresh, flavorful, and a generous portion. My boyfriend ordered the petit filet mignon (8 oz), cooked perfectly medium rare as requested. One in our party had the halibut, which was fresh and cooked just right -- moist and not overdone. Two of us ordered the double-cut rack of lamb. One was served rare as ordered, and mine, requested medium rare, came out closer to rare. We informed our server and she took it back to the kitchen and thoughtfully left my loaded baked potato so I could enjoy it while waiting. When the new plate came out -- as it should -- it included a freshly prepared rack of lamb and a new baked potato, cooked perfectly medium rare this time. For dessert, my boyfriend and I shared the New York cheesecake. It was a good-sized portion -- creamy and enjoyable, though nothing extraordinary. Since it was my birthday, they added a candle, which was a nice gesture, though it wasn't complimentary. The other couple shared a chocolate lava cake. Our server, Shasha, was friendly, pleasant, and knowledgeable about the menu. Service was attentive at first, though once the restaurant got busy, it became harder to flag her down. Ambiance: Upscale steakhouse vibe with a visible wine cooler display. The dining area isn't large, so tables are somewhat close together, but despite being packed, noise levels remained comfortable for conversation. Prices are on the higher end for North Carolina standards, but the quality of the food justifies the cost. Plenty of parking is available. Overall, a great dining experience with excellent food and good service. I'll definitely return the next time I'm in Greensboro.

We went for my birthday and the food was absolutely AMAZING - I was completely blown away. The sriracha glazed bacon was so thick and flavorful, I'll definitely be back even if it's just for that. The cheese toast was also really good & had a lot of flavor. It's a nice twist on a somewhat simple dish. Everyone at the table was so impressed with the appetizers. My hazelnut espresso martini was absolutely delicious too and they had so many cocktails that sounded really good. I also tried the blueberry mojito which was really good too. The only downside for me was the service. Overall, the service wasn't bad but we did wait about 15 minutes for anyone to take our drink order & then we waited another 10-15 for our drinks. We ended up ordering appetizers & entrees at the same time just because it was taking a while and we were all hungry. For a somewhat expensive restaurant, I was definitely hoping for a 5-star service expensive which unfortunately we didn't get. The food was amazing though so hopefully the service can improve!

Easily one of the best steakhouses I've tried in Greensboro! The appetizers alone blew my mind with how amazing they were. I was amazed by how great the non-steak food items were and the steak itself also didn't let me down. It was a great cut of meat that was absolutely cooked to perfection. The service was the only thing that could've been better. We came for a late dinner on a Friday night (so it was still moderately busy) and it took a long time to get waited on and to get our drinks. For the money you pay for the meal you expect the service to match.

No response from the restaurant or their corporate body. Classy all around. If you want to pay up to be cramped and treated like a commodity not a patron, then this is your spot. Note if you ever see the same waiter/waitress twice it will be a minor miracles.

Everything is balanced, creative, and thoughtfully put together. Whether you order something from the menu or ask for a classic, it's always spot on. The prices are great for the quality, usually $15-$20 for a cocktail, which feels completely fair for craft drinks like these. One of my favorite details is the playlist. It's always so good -- a mix of current hits and those deep cuts you forgot you loved, and it somehow always fits the vibe perfectly. It is in downtown Greensboro, so be prepared for parking as it is not nearby. Great drinks, great music, candles glowing, and it's the kind of place that makes you want to stay for just one more round. I'll visit again soon.

The inside is cozy and on the smaller side but so cute. We started with the buratta appetizer which came with focaccia and pesto which was all amazing. The pesto had a great garlic flavor and the bread was lightly toasted. For an entree, I had the Moroccan couscous with crispy chickpeas and even though the picture might look a little weird, I can assure you it was delicious. The chickpeas were really crispy as promised and the flavor was delicious. It was well seasoned and the sauces were so good. The green one was a mint parsley I think and the orange was my favorite - red pepper tahini. My only complaint would be that I want more of the sauce because it was so good. I really enjoyed & I appreciated that they had this vegan option. They have tons of wine & the cocktail menu is also great. The waiter was super friendly and quick. I ordered a cocktail with vodka instead of tequila which wasn't a problem at all. I tried a few of the cocktails and they were all really good and perfectly described on the menu. I really enjoyed everything here and can't wait to go back!

Food - the new Sous chef that joined 6-8 months ago has breathed new life into the menu and the execution has improved as wee. As of 4/17 - Pork belly vao buns were stellar. Great balance between the heat and the sweet. We'll be back again soon

They arrived and were coned nicely and had a great taste. (Still no silverware or napkins) we asked for napkins of course at this point because our hands are sticky. Food came. Burger was missing lettuce (easy fix) he said his steak was cooked PERFECTLY (still no silverware) I requested more mayo and more dressing (still no silverware) we realized there wasn't any silverware when he wanted to cut into the steak. So we had to request silverware. Back to the steak.... Cooked PERFECTLY..... zero seasoning. Added a little salt and requested steak sauce and the steak was demolished. My wales saw my water getting low and said she was coming with more water. I finished my water she came by and asked if we needed anything.... Water please. With a few adjustments to the obvious (having silverware at the table when seating customers, and keeping a real eye out for drinks) this place might be alright. The servers were pleasant and the place wasn't crowded at all. A total of 4 other parties were in and out during our visit.
