    Mimosas
    Amy P.

Had brunch with one of my besties and it was a fabulous. The food was amazing and the bottomless mimosas. The service was super amazing, shoutout to Keyshawn and Ali. They went above and beyond to make the atmosphere welcoming, relaxing, and with a touch of luxury. We ordered the the flatbread with chicken (very yummy); shrimp and grits (very filling), standup Mac with lobster (very cheesy), and collards (very tasty).

I visited PRYME for the first time on Mother's Day. I assumed it would be pretty crowded even with the reservation. We arrived a few minutes late for our reservation and checked in and there were multiple parties waiting in the foyer area. I assume there was a combination of folks with reservations and those opting to wait. Most waiting parties were quickly seated, but I overheard the weight staff indicating a need for some tables to turn over as given that it was a holiday. People were probably lingering a bit longer than normal. My husband and I were seated upstairs after waiting approximately 10 minutes or so. We were quickly given menus in an opportunity to Peru's while waiting for water. We both opted to order cocktails. I ordered the Wakanda, which, if I had to describe it simply taste it like boozy and sweet grape Kool-Aid, which I actually enjoyed. My husband ordered the whiskey sour and said it was good, but said that my drink was actually better. We opted for the brussels sprout appetizer, I had the salmon and grits for my entrée. My Husband selected the wings and waffles. Overall, the food was pretty good. The portion on the salmon and grits was pretty large and it was cooked very well. I was a little bit questioning the chicken gravy with the salmon and grits but altogether it came together as a pretty cohesive bit dish my husband enjoyed the chicken and waffles, but indicated that the portion size was a little bit small with only two whole wings and the waffles could've been a bit crispier or cooked a little bit longer. The star of the meal was definitely the brussels sprouts with bacon and what I assume with some sort of honey glaze. The ambience of the restaurant is pretty nice. You can tell at some point it used to be either a bar or a lounge. The upstairs has several dining tables, but also a few couches that I assumed are used during happy hour or to allow parties to wait for their tables. I'm not sure if they have an elevator, but anyone with mobility problems would need to sit in the downstairs dining area. I will say we were at a smaller two person table that was right on top of another table for four and the only reason it was not uncomfortable was that the other table only had three guests. In the event of another guest, we would've been right on top of each other, and it would've been difficult to get in and out of the seating. Overall, it was a good experience, with good food and good drinks. I will say the price point was a bit high, but I think comparable to similar items at other restaurants in the area. I think I'll give this place. Another chance to try out their dinner menu sometime soon.

I really wanted to love this spot and give a high star review as it is located in Downtown Greensboro and the atmosphere is beautiful and it's in such a great location. It feels like it should be the perfect brunch place. Unfortunately, my experience was a bit inconsistent. The food came out cold, and the drinks were warm, which was disappointing. The drink menu was confusing, it advertises bottomless mimosas with multiple flavor options, but when I ordered cranberry and asked for it to be bottomless, I was told cranberry wasn't included. That wasn't clearly explained on the menu, so it felt misleading, I still ordered two.  There was also some confusion with the order. I asked our server if the Salmon Benedict included spinach and was told it did not, but it actually did. That said, I will note that I made specific modifications to my Benedict (eggs poached soft and hollandaise on the side), and it came out exactly as requested, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, it was still cold when it reached the table. Other members of the party ordered grits and truffle fries. I was able to try it and they both were tasty and would try again.  We also ran into some issues when trying to split the check, which added a bit of unnecessary stress at the end of the meal. It was very dark inside, especially on such a gorgeous spring day. On a positive note, our water glasses were always kept full, which was nice and didn't go unnoticed. Also note it is in the heart of downtown Greensboro so parking can be a bit of a challenge.  Overall, the vibe is great and the concept has potential, but the execution just wasn't there during the visit. I'd consider giving it another try, maybe for the happy hour offerings. Maybe it was an off day and will be better next time.

Another Great meal, live band and lovely service. We had a reservation, so there was no wait. There were a couple birthdays also last night so the band even sang to them. Nice night as usual.

We went last night for my 50th birthday. THE VIBES WERE AWESOME- Jazz playing, blue decor, velvet chairs, gold accents. Got to meet the owner, he is a big Jazz fan, as are we. I loved the music playing and asked our server Edith if she knew what song it was and she found out for me. She was great- nice and attentive- bartender was great- he checked on me with both my drinks, (a dirty martini and espresso martini) the food- wow wow- we got stand up lobster Mac and cheese, shared a ribeye, thy cauliflower apologized, sweet potato Casserole and Brussels sprouts . An amazing night.

Pryme is something special. Such nice dining vibes and the Pryme pasta was delicious! This restaurant is perfect for date nights, parties, and even solo dates.

Lovely interior and vibe for a weekend/night out in downtown. The place seems to get packed quickly and a wait is very likely. Luckily, the host was nice enough to allow seating at the bar. My associate and I seated ourselves and viewed the menu. She ordered their pasta and voiced her appreciation for the meal. It did look tasty! The drinks were delicious. The food was plated neatly. I ordered salmon and it was cooked well but more could be desired when it comes to flavor. The mango salsa was a refreshing addition. The bartender was passionate about his craft and the drinks were tasty and appealing. I requested a cocktail of his choice and was not disappointed. There's live music here and the band and vocalist performed familiar tunes during my time there. The upstairs area also offers seating. Overall, it could be a bit pricey on a regular basis but could be a nice place to celebrate. Though not mentioned before receiving my bill, the gratuity was added to the total. As a first-time guest, this would be good information to have. Otherwise, a newer location in the downtown area that is worth trying.

This place is super cute! The decor is upscale, gives a luxe vibe. There is a DJ during Sunday brunch playing 90s and early 00s R&B. The drinks are top tier! I had the blood orange margarita. The food yall!! Whew! I had the flounder and grits with a side of collard greens....PERFECTION! The Gouda grits make you wanna slap your mama, lol! The service was amazing! Shout out to Ms. Renee (I hope I got that right) for taking care of our table from start to finish! So sweet and accommodating. Very cute spot for a girls outing or special occasion or a date with that special someone. I will definitely be back!

Be sure to stop here when in Greensboro. All of the food was excellent. Both the steak and pork chop was perfectly cooked and flavorful. Drinks were well prepared. Our waitress was attentive and knowledgeable. This is a good setting for friends, date night, or a chill solo evening.

Just here to say that this place is TOP NOTCH! Came back and it's still my favorite place in Greensboro! The food delicious, so flavorful, it comes out hot, and you can tell they do not skimp on the portions! The fried oysters, must have! Please keep these on the menu for as long as you can! The Brussels always a hit and their pasta, divine! Drinks are great! The bar tender might have a heavy hand but I am not mad at that! Keep them coming! I will definitely be back!

I came here for happy hour. I enjoyed my drinks. The lobster dip is good. The cauliflower needed work. It tasted like the cauliflower was fried in plain flour. Seasoning was lacking. Let's amp up the onion powder, garlic powder, pepper flakes.. anything. I was told that the flatbread was bland also. The bartenders were charismatic. The atmosphere is beautiful. This is a good spot for date night, a business meeting, or girls night

EXCELLENT! The cuisine! ambience! FOOD! The whole environment is EXCELLENT! 100!

    Wakanda inspired drink! Very delicious!
    Kristen C.

The service was absolutely amazing from the time we stepped in the door until the time we left. The presentation of our food was great and my drink was delicious. The side of Brussel sprouts was huge and also scrumptious. I tried a chicken flatbread it was good, but I could have eaten the Brussels sprouts and the sweet potato casserole all day. The vibe is very amazing. The music was great. The decor was beautiful. I can't wait to make this my new happy hour spot and try the Mac and cheese. Definitely going back soon!!

It was also a chance to catch up with Ron and Victoria who I have not had a chance to see for a while. They recommended Jake's Diner downtown, a couple of blocks down from Victoria's studio. Sounded like a plan to me, so I hopped in my car and headed to meet them down on South Elm Street. I am glad we went because there were not many people in the restaurant at all and by the time we left after lunch we were the only ones. I know they appreciated the business, We were promptly seated and the waitress was very helpful and provided excellent service Ron went with breakfast and had eggs and waffles and bacon and Victoria went with a lunch themed hamburger and onion rings. I decided to go Victoria's route and ordered a a hamburger with blue cheese and an order of fries with a diet Coke. Everything came promptly and was tasty. I must say, considering how expensive things are today, I found their prices to be pretty moderate. Plenty of refills on coffee and diet Coke without even having to ask. I liked that! The food was good, the company was wonderful and it's nice to have a breakfast/lunch spot like that downtown. I hope I caught Jake's Diner at an odd time and a pre storm panic because they certainly deserve patrons and to stay alive in downtown Greensboro. They offered us a nice meal at a good price. I even found parking right around the corner! Check them out!!

I watched you cater to 3 other tables and pretty much ignore us. To be fair, I've eaten at Jake's on Wendover a few times. I knew the type of food. It's always been excellent. We arrive. The white lady with the high pony tail says "sit anywhere that's clean. Cool. Didn't get her name. I will call her P. All the small booths on the perimeter were full. We take the large booth in the back corner. The tables in the center were six tops. That booth wasn't clean clean. 50-11 crumbs in the chair. I wipe them off. We wait. No menus brought. One of the expediters walks by. Didn't even stop . A four top arrives. P is at their table in 2.5 seconds with menus and cutlery. Well dayum. Why don't we have anything? We see our waitress waiting on the table next to us. She takes the orders of the two older gentlemen making small talk even. No worries. What she did next should have told me how this whole experience was going to go. She brought the menus from their table to our table. Ummmmm, I don't know what cruds they could have had. Then asked what we wanted to drink. Ma'am! We just got menus. She returns with our water. Asks if we are ready to order. Ma'am' we just got these menus. We place our orders. I ask her name. Like you rolled up on us and didn't even introduce yourself. Jasmine takes our order. Food comes out faster than expected. Great! That's where it begins to go downhill. Jasmine never brought cutlery to our table. We had to ask and wait longer than I think it should have taken. Mind you I saw how P was working her table. Jasmine checked on the gentlemen several times. A family sat at a table on the other side of them. She was speedy with their service. More on that later. The gentlemen leave. Mind you Jasmine hasn't come back to our table at all. Wait once after we got all our food. That's how we go cutlery. I've drank my glass of Diet Pepsi. Would be nice to get a refill. She comes back with a wet rag to wipe off the table where the gentleman sat THEN asks if we need anything. I ask for a Diet Pepsi refill. Bae is in the bathroom and I let her know that he wasn't satisfied with his meal. She just looked like "oh, okay". No server should ever want to hear this. We did not ask for a manager. Meanwhile across the restaurant P has already served and turned that four top. Recall they were sat after us. As I continued to look around other tables were getting soda refills. AND I saw piping hot food delivered. Bae's eggs weren't piping hot. I mean "steam" was coming off these other plates. Bae came back to the table as I was telling Jasmine he wasn't happy with his food. We went there for French toast. He ate one piece. Half his eggs and half his potatoes. He asked for the check. This is after I'd asked for my refill. So I asked again. Jasmine brings out all the food for that family's table. She even brings. An extra plate. Looks over and must have remembered our requests. In the time she went to get an extra plate I could have had a soda refill which I really wanted to drink my soda in the restaurant as I finished my meal. She instead brings it in a to go cup. Fine but had she been more attentive I would have had a refill at the table. Enough about the mid level service. In case you're wondering Bae did tip her 15%. His food did not arrive piping hot. I didn't get a refill. We had to ask for cutlery and watch everyone else around us get better service even those in our section. No, the restaurant wasn't packed but patrons steadily flowed in. We shouldn't have been there for as long as we were. The food? Not terrible except the meat to bread ratio in the patty melt (see photo). Thin party. It was very tasty. I enjoy a good patty melt don't expect the meat to be that thin. The grits? Ouch! Not a lick of salt in the cooking liquid. If you do have salt in the water, please double it. Once I added salt they tasted fine. Bae didn't complain about the coffee so I will say that was fine. Bae says we're not going back to this location. Which is disappointing since it's a short drive and one of few places that serves regular degular French toast. I knew Jake's on Wendover and Downtown would be packed due to GHOE. The Battleground location was busy and getting overflow from the place up the street from them where we went first so we didn't stop there. As we were leaving Jasmine was already talking to the new patrons at the table where those gentleman were sitting. They hadn't been there two minutes whereas we easily waited five minutes before being acknowledged. I'm not saying don't go to Jake's. By all means give them a shot. They have been a Greensboro staple for decades! Our experience this time was less than 4 stars. That's all.

Ordering seemed to take longer than it should given the technology involved. A hand-held payment system was used to take the order. I'm not in a hurry to order, but if I want the bacon breakfast platter with scrambled eggs with cheese, a biscuit, hash browns, and side of French toast, why can't I say that? Nooooo, I (and everyone) had to wait for the server to go through the prompts on their screen. My order was simple though: a bowl of chicken noodle soup and a side of broccoli casserole. The server had to check if there was soup, and there was, but for some reason, it was the last thing to arrive at the table, and it was minutes behind everyone else's meal. I'm talking my friend already finished their burger late. While I waited for the soup, I ate the broccoli casserole. It has potential. I'm not sure if I got the bad part of the pan or what. It was mostly dried up cracker topping and a huge slice of melted Kraft-like American cheese slice. If you know the flavor, you know the flavor. It didn't work here and nearly spit out the bite. The inside, however, very good, yet mushy and not creamy-cheesy. Now, I've said it's impossible to screw up chicken noodle soup. I mentioned that in another review, too, but I really should stop saying that. This one was bad. Not inedible, just lacked flavor and was a sloppy, goopy mess. The noodles were cooked to mushy-mush, there wasn't much chicken, and the vegetables were canned Veg-All. No celery, no onion, and more corn than anything else. And potatoes because who knows why? The broth, though yellow, tasted like nothing. The soup was better with the saltine. I didn't eat much of the soup because it was such an unenjoyable experience to eat. Sweet tea tasted like it was unsweetened with sugar added, and yes, that's wrong, sweet tea is made with sugar while it's still brewing, not after the fact.
