I really wanted to love this spot and give a high star review as it is located in Downtown Greensboro and the atmosphere is beautiful and it's in such a great location. It feels like it should be the perfect brunch place. Unfortunately, my experience was a bit inconsistent. The food came out cold, and the drinks were warm, which was disappointing. The drink menu was confusing, it advertises bottomless mimosas with multiple flavor options, but when I ordered cranberry and asked for it to be bottomless, I was told cranberry wasn't included. That wasn't clearly explained on the menu, so it felt misleading, I still ordered two.  There was also some confusion with the order. I asked our server if the Salmon Benedict included spinach and was told it did not, but it actually did. That said, I will note that I made specific modifications to my Benedict (eggs poached soft and hollandaise on the side), and it came out exactly as requested, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, it was still cold when it reached the table. Other members of the party ordered grits and truffle fries. I was able to try it and they both were tasty and would try again.  We also ran into some issues when trying to split the check, which added a bit of unnecessary stress at the end of the meal. It was very dark inside, especially on such a gorgeous spring day. On a positive note, our water glasses were always kept full, which was nice and didn't go unnoticed. Also note it is in the heart of downtown Greensboro so parking can be a bit of a challenge.  Overall, the vibe is great and the concept has potential, but the execution just wasn't there during the visit. I'd consider giving it another try, maybe for the happy hour offerings. Maybe it was an off day and will be better next time.

I visited PRYME for the first time on Mother's Day. I assumed it would be pretty crowded even with the reservation. We arrived a few minutes late for our reservation and checked in and there were multiple parties waiting in the foyer area. I assume there was a combination of folks with reservations and those opting to wait. Most waiting parties were quickly seated, but I overheard the weight staff indicating a need for some tables to turn over as given that it was a holiday. People were probably lingering a bit longer than normal. My husband and I were seated upstairs after waiting approximately 10 minutes or so. We were quickly given menus in an opportunity to Peru's while waiting for water. We both opted to order cocktails. I ordered the Wakanda, which, if I had to describe it simply taste it like boozy and sweet grape Kool-Aid, which I actually enjoyed. My husband ordered the whiskey sour and said it was good, but said that my drink was actually better. We opted for the brussels sprout appetizer, I had the salmon and grits for my entrée. My Husband selected the wings and waffles. Overall, the food was pretty good. The portion on the salmon and grits was pretty large and it was cooked very well. I was a little bit questioning the chicken gravy with the salmon and grits but altogether it came together as a pretty cohesive bit dish my husband enjoyed the chicken and waffles, but indicated that the portion size was a little bit small with only two whole wings and the waffles could've been a bit crispier or cooked a little bit longer. The star of the meal was definitely the brussels sprouts with bacon and what I assume with some sort of honey glaze. The ambience of the restaurant is pretty nice. You can tell at some point it used to be either a bar or a lounge. The upstairs has several dining tables, but also a few couches that I assumed are used during happy hour or to allow parties to wait for their tables. I'm not sure if they have an elevator, but anyone with mobility problems would need to sit in the downstairs dining area. I will say we were at a smaller two person table that was right on top of another table for four and the only reason it was not uncomfortable was that the other table only had three guests. In the event of another guest, we would've been right on top of each other, and it would've been difficult to get in and out of the seating. Overall, it was a good experience, with good food and good drinks. I will say the price point was a bit high, but I think comparable to similar items at other restaurants in the area. I think I'll give this place. Another chance to try out their dinner menu sometime soon.

Another Great meal, live band and lovely service. We had a reservation, so there was no wait. There were a couple birthdays also last night so the band even sang to them. Nice night as usual.

We went last night for my 50th birthday. THE VIBES WERE AWESOME- Jazz playing, blue decor, velvet chairs, gold accents. Got to meet the owner, he is a big Jazz fan, as are we. I loved the music playing and asked our server Edith if she knew what song it was and she found out for me. She was great- nice and attentive- bartender was great- he checked on me with both my drinks, (a dirty martini and espresso martini) the food- wow wow- we got stand up lobster Mac and cheese, shared a ribeye, thy cauliflower apologized, sweet potato Casserole and Brussels sprouts . An amazing night.

Lovely interior and vibe for a weekend/night out in downtown. The place seems to get packed quickly and a wait is very likely. Luckily, the host was nice enough to allow seating at the bar. My associate and I seated ourselves and viewed the menu. She ordered their pasta and voiced her appreciation for the meal. It did look tasty! The drinks were delicious. The food was plated neatly. I ordered salmon and it was cooked well but more could be desired when it comes to flavor. The mango salsa was a refreshing addition. The bartender was passionate about his craft and the drinks were tasty and appealing. I requested a cocktail of his choice and was not disappointed. There's live music here and the band and vocalist performed familiar tunes during my time there. The upstairs area also offers seating. Overall, it could be a bit pricey on a regular basis but could be a nice place to celebrate. Though not mentioned before receiving my bill, the gratuity was added to the total. As a first-time guest, this would be good information to have. Otherwise, a newer location in the downtown area that is worth trying.

This place is super cute! The decor is upscale, gives a luxe vibe. There is a DJ during Sunday brunch playing 90s and early 00s R&B. The drinks are top tier! I had the blood orange margarita. The food yall!! Whew! I had the flounder and grits with a side of collard greens....PERFECTION! The Gouda grits make you wanna slap your mama, lol! The service was amazing! Shout out to Ms. Renee (I hope I got that right) for taking care of our table from start to finish! So sweet and accommodating. Very cute spot for a girls outing or special occasion or a date with that special someone. I will definitely be back!

Be sure to stop here when in Greensboro. All of the food was excellent. Both the steak and pork chop was perfectly cooked and flavorful. Drinks were well prepared. Our waitress was attentive and knowledgeable. This is a good setting for friends, date night, or a chill solo evening.

Just here to say that this place is TOP NOTCH! Came back and it's still my favorite place in Greensboro! The food delicious, so flavorful, it comes out hot, and you can tell they do not skimp on the portions! The fried oysters, must have! Please keep these on the menu for as long as you can! The Brussels always a hit and their pasta, divine! Drinks are great! The bar tender might have a heavy hand but I am not mad at that! Keep them coming! I will definitely be back!

I came here for happy hour. I enjoyed my drinks. The lobster dip is good. The cauliflower needed work. It tasted like the cauliflower was fried in plain flour. Seasoning was lacking. Let's amp up the onion powder, garlic powder, pepper flakes.. anything. I was told that the flatbread was bland also. The bartenders were charismatic. The atmosphere is beautiful. This is a good spot for date night, a business meeting, or girls night

Pryme is something special. Such nice dining vibes and the Pryme pasta was delicious! This restaurant is perfect for date nights, parties, and even solo dates.

The service was absolutely amazing from the time we stepped in the door until the time we left. The presentation of our food was great and my drink was delicious. The side of Brussel sprouts was huge and also scrumptious. I tried a chicken flatbread it was good, but I could have eaten the Brussels sprouts and the sweet potato casserole all day. The vibe is very amazing. The music was great. The decor was beautiful. I can't wait to make this my new happy hour spot and try the Mac and cheese. Definitely going back soon!!

    Iris C.

The food was amazing! When you first walk in the aesthetics of the restaurant is beautiful. I ordered Roasted Airline Chicken which included garlic mashed potatoes. The chicken was very tender and the potatoes were seasoned perfectly. My fiancé ordered Crab Cakes and Pryme Salad. He mentioned that there was more breading than crab meat but they had a good taste. His salad was good, especially the ranch dressing. It was a different which leads me to believe that it was homemade. The service was great! Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. The prices are reasonable so we will definitely return.

Heard about this place while I was in NC and those it looked cute. My cousins and I visited and enjoyed ourselves. The food was kind of different takes on classic food but was good! I believe when we visited he was still relatively new so I think they were still getting in the flow of things but the service was pretty slow and they didn't have a lot of the drinks on their menu. They had live music which was nice! This place is definitely on my list of go-to restaurants when I'm in town.

It's a great little restaurant with a fun atmosphere and great music. We started with the Fried Goat Cheese Balls and the Fried Cauliflower, and both were excellent. The goat cheese balls were crispy on the outside and creamy inside, while the cauliflower was perfectly fried and packed with flavor. I ordered the Jalapeño Popper Burger special, and it was phenomenal. Juicy, cooked perfectly, with just the right amount of heat and all the flavors you'd expect from a great jalapeño popper. Easily one of the better specialty burgers I've had. They also have a great beer and wine selection, which made it easy to find the perfect pairing with our meal. If you're traveling and looking for something far better than the usual fast food off the interstate, Hops Burger Bar is absolutely worth the quick detour. Great food, great service, and a place we'll make a point to stop at again the next time we're passing through.

Since I was driving back by on my home the next day, had a late lunch. Arrived around 3pm on a Friday and sat at the bar. Given the hour, it was fairly quiet. Weird experience, bar was wide open. I went to the bathroom and when I came back, someone decided to sit in the seat right next to me. Why?! I must comment on the service. The barkeep got me a menu quick and I ordered a water. During my meal, my water sat empty for 5 minutes or so even thought I counted 8 staff members behind the bar. Given the time of day, it was not busy. I ordered onion rings (as a side) and the Bacon Jam burger as it came with the "cordon Bleu" fries. The onion rings stole the show. So good. The fries were not my jam. Low quality cheese sauce with lunch meat ham that was diced. My fault, I should have subbed regular fries as I don't like stuff on my fries. I was expecting it to be a seasoning. My mistake. The burger was good not great. I got the 12 oz size and learned it is 2 fat 6 oz. patties stacked. Makes it VERY tall. The description of this burger is shown in one of my photos. Again, it was good but the flavors just did not pop. Wish I got the French Onion burger. Next time. :-) I do recommend!

My wife and I were attending a show downtown, so decided to do dinner before. We were greeted by the hostess and seated quickly. The atmosphere is very laid back, but well decorated, and designed. They've got a great beer variety, offering a lot of different styles. And their food menu offers a selection of apps, sandwiches, burgers and salads. I ended up getting a chicken Philly with sweet potato fries, it was good, and the bun was stuffed full, but far too hot and too messy to try and eat with your hands. I ended up eating it with a fork and knife. The fries were cooked perfectly, just a slight crispiness to the outside and a soft filling inside. I'm not one to go to restaurants last minute when they're closing because I know how that can make it difficult for employees, but being somewhere 45 minutes before they close shouldn't warrant getting rushed. On a Saturday afternoon, I was in Greensboro and in the mood for some good pretzels and a draft beer, and this hit the spot. Old Town Draught House has a very old bar ambience, without feeling worn out and dated. I love the old dark wood throughout the building. They have a pretty broad draft beer menu, along with normal bar offerings. I was happy to see multiple sour beers on the list, because that's exactly what I was in the mood for. There's no table service, and it is seat yourself, but the bartenders were very attentive, and it was never difficult to place an order at the bar. We ordered a few beers and decided to get deviled eggs and the pretzels as appetizers to share. Food came out very quickly. The pretzels were pretty good, but I've had better elsewhere. Rather than being crispy, they were soft and a bit soggy, but the flavor was great. The beer cheese was on point, although I would've preferred a spicy brown mustard over yellow mustard. The deviled eggs were a bit of a letdown, because it was just a hard-boiled egg cut in half with a little bit of sweet chili peppers and dressing that tasted like 1000 Island on top. When I think of deviled eggs, I anticipate the egg yolks being removed, mixed with a few ingredients, and piped back in. For what was basically two eggs cut in half, the six-dollar price tag was steep. Overall, we had a great experience, although I would likely choose different food options next time. The bar staff were great, the beer offerings nice, and the ambience was a good vibe.
