This place is open 24 hours and I am glad for it. Since covid not many places operate this way. I get up very early so it was nice not to have to make breakfast and could head over to best to have some delicious pancakes, sausage, and hash browns. Not a fussy place by any means but after a late night you can't go wrong here. Everything is clean and waitress was friendly and service was quick. The food was satisfactory and it came out still warm and coffee was good, I take high test and my friend liked Decaf, both came out in a hurry and warmed us up on this cold night. When you walk in you can feel the atmosphere welcoming as it is family owned and the ambiance is your typical diner feel. The service was excellent and nice. I ordered one of the breakfast specials which was the two eggs, bacon, toast and grits. The bacon was cooked in the stove and crunchy, eggs were cooked to perfection. And the grits were hot. While on our way to the beach we were looking for some dinner. As we checked Yelp for places near us, most had poor ratings. Then we found this diner that had better ratings than other places nearby. It's like your typical diner inside. Only a staff of four working this evening but they hustled. The two ladies serving were both friendly. They had a bunch of dinner specials. The menu is big, like a typical diner. Our food didn't take long after we ordered. The food was decent for diner food, we all got sandwiches. Here's the best part, 6 of us for dinner was only $60!! last night was my second time eating there, the first time excellent! customer service was great and food took abt 15-20 mins. i had ordered a cheese steak, no let no tom, add bell peppers and sub for provolone cheese and it was amazing. I ordered the same thing yesterday but this time they didn't have provolone any more so i asked for cheddar because i don't like american chz. The customer service was butt. they were kind of busy for NYE but still not an excuse for waiting at the cash for 15 minutes while they stood there right in front of me and did not help, doing everything else. i finally ordered my food at 12:52 am & was told a 15min wait. and didn't get my food till 1:56am ( 1 wholehr ) i waited patiently for my food while evb got theirs. around the 45 min mark i went to check on my order at the register, she asked if i had the wings and i said "no the cheese steak", she prints my ticket OUT AGAIN and puts it up meaning it was never made or handed to someone else so i just wait , when my food finally came out, it had everything i did not want, LETTUCE, TOMATO AND AMERICAN CHZ i was so upset especially after the wait, i was so hungry and tired ready to go home, i just left as i couldn't wait any longer but i won't be back anytime soon. read more

I think a name change is in order here. Best Diner's own menu proclaims "Good food, good prices, good service". And they are correct. But that's about the highest level to which they rise. My eggs were cooked perfectly and tasted great, but the grits needed a ton of salt (and even once properly salted were pretty tasteless). The bacon was mild, the pancake had no taste, and the coffee was thin and weak. I sat at the counter, and the server was reasonably cheerful, but did not check on me during my breakfast. It is difficult for me to be too harsh about this, however, because they were short-staffed--as so many places are these days. The kitchen seemed a bit confused and was having trouble getting the orders out. But again, it is hard to ding them for this when they may be missing experienced cooks. But at the end of the day, it's really about the food. And it was just, at best, good. 2.5 stars is probably correct, but I will go with three. But they need to change their name. "The Good Diner" is more apropos. read more

Solid diner food that's fairly priced! Stopped in recently to Best Diner to see if this is the typical greasy spoon diner that we all have a soft spot in our heart whether we admit it or not! Nothing fancy upon entering, just a plain ole diner. The joint is clean, full of obvious regulars, and those two combined give you a solid feeling. The cooked to order eggs were exactly as I ordered, and the biscuit with sausage gravy was quite tasty! On 02/15/2025, MS. KAYLEE was my server: I had to remind her that I ordered Coffee, then I finally received warm Coffee. Had to remind her I ordered water, eventually I received the water. Ms. Kaylee served those that came in after me. Ms. Kaylee refused to provide "Silverware" however, she provided silverware's in a plastic bag to her other Guests. The pudgy guy serving coffee walked right "PASS me" and offered no coffee top off. I do not recommend this place and the "name" of this restaurant is a "FAKE" a "FARCE" just an outright LIE! By the way I never asked for silverware and was never given Silverware! Zero Ambiance!! This is very, very "SAD" that a Business Owner ALLOWS SUCH BEHAVIOR! I wouldn't Allow Such Behavior to JEOPARDIZE MY PLACE OF BUSINESS. I failed to mention that the table hadn't been wiped down from the previous customer's that was there before me. the food was good, but what I noticed was an employee helping another by sweeping and then not washing his hands. I also witnessed this same employee get ice from the ice machine, without wearing gloves, and then proceeding to even out the ice with his bare hand. being in the good service industry myself, this is a no-no. Prices are very reasonable, and it is very family-friendly. There is usually a breakfast special.
