I really loved this cafe. Maybe it was the weather when I went or the cheap food and drinks they have... The drinks are pretty cheap and taste just as good as Starbucks (maybe even better!). On top of sandwiches, paninis, salads, etc, they also sell ramen. Don't ask me if it's good though since I haven't tried it and I'm a bit weary of trying it. However, I can tell you that a lot of people ordered it while I was there. This is a great place to study as it's across the street from Chabot College or to catch up with friends. I went on the weekend so I'm not sure how crowded it is during the week when there's school. Regardless, this cafe has a lot of indoor and outdoor seating. Worth a try! read more

I love going here to work on projects because of how cozy it feels. I absolutely love their caramel macchiato, I'm a bit picky with coffee because sometimes it's a bit too sweet for me or it's not creamy enough but they make the perfectly for me every time I go here. My first time coming here. I wanted a little coffee shop to unwind before work and found this place to be cozy. I just want to say that, even though it was only my first time, I will be coming back. I ordered a mocha and I saw that the barista was pressing all the beans and grounds herself so I see that everything is fresh. The coffee was super hot, which was a delightful change because at other coffee shops I'm used to getting my coffee hot to lukewarm but this particular mocha was extra hot. The place itself is somewhat small. There are a few couches and 2-chair tables and I would have taken a spot outside but it was drizzling. There's also free wifi which is a plus. A great coffee house located a stones thruway from Cabot college. I've seen college students go & hang around here for it's hip vibe plus free WiFi while sipping on your favorite latte or morning Joe. Nice spacious, but cozy coffee shop, awesome service, but food/coffee do not impress (nothing extremely bad - so only one star down for it). I stopped at this place for breakfast on the way from Union City to San Francisco. I like the place vibe - it is very spacious, full with daylight, there is also large outside seating area that is separated from Hesperian by plants and their private lot, you have a backyard feeling rather than sitting at the curb near the traffic. Baristas were really sweet, explained what they have there, helped me choose the meal, answered all my requests and were very friendly and authentic. Now coming to food: they have pretty nice selection of sandwiches, salads, fruits/yoghurt, pastries. But everything is pre-made, they just heat sandwiches in the grill or hand you over the salad in a plastic container. I had turkey pesto sandwich, orange cranberry scone and cappuccino, but none of them where really delicious - sandwich was somewhat wet even after the grill and fell apart, scone had some bitter aftertaste of cheap butter (probably it was made of vegetable margarine), coffee lacked the flavour. The presentation of everything was nice though. Probably I was just unlucky with my choices. Overall I liked the place, it looks very nice to study or just hangout. Conveniently located coffee shop with plentiful parking. They have a variety of drinks and a pastry case. They also have free wifi and good amount of outlets around, so it's a good place to work. Yet another coffee shop with no vegan food items, so-so coffee, and this one takes the cake for the most excessive vegan tax (I think it was $0.80 for Almond milk) and not that great mocha. Service wasn't that special either, although the place is nice enough. Location a mile from my office at Headquarters in Hayward. It's nice to break from the office and go fetch a latte in the afternoon for a pick me up. Parking is tough though because Eon is always busy. Ample space inside the establishment and staff is always friendly. read more

I work in Hayward and you know what? It's certainly no Oakland; the area's not poppin with nice local restaurants and cafes. Eon Coffee is an exception and what a wonderful little place to stop by during the lunch break! There's a lot of seating inside and out. It's relatively quiet inside - a good place to do a bit of work in peace. The workers here are really nice and the drinks come out quickly. They have an interesting variety of coffee and tea drinks, as well as a selection of lunch items. They even serve ramen here on the weekends! Their paninis are pretty tasty and their salads are fresh. I love getting the White Chocolate Coconut latte. If that sounds delicious to you, then you are totally correct. I've had it hot and iced and I would recommend getting it hot. That brings out the sweet flavors of the chocolate and coconut. I've also tried their matcha latte, also pretty good! We moved to the area a few months ago and this place is walking distance from our house. I'm sorry this experience was so bad as I never will come back now based on how I was treated and I will tell all my neighbors as well. I came in here with my family and while the food is normally good today the service left a lot to be desired. My mother-in-law ordered a sandwich and asked for extra mayonnaise and they refused to give it to her because they don't carry packets. We were eating in and after they refused her again, I went up and told them they could put a dollop on a plate and I would pay for it. The cashier finally after 5 minutes of begging agreed to get it for me. Then another 5 minutes and the mayo arrived. I ordered a ramen soup and after 25 minutes it still hadn't arrived. I checked on it and they said they were still making it. In the meantime my family finished eating. At 45 minutes I went back up to the counter and they said they gave my order to someone else and would make it again. However since my family was done eating I said forget it and left. The food everyone else got was good but the hassle of dealing with the behind the counter staff makes me not want to come back. read more

The Eon coffee house is right across the street from Chabot College and since this is where I go to school I have had a few chances to stop by. Not to mention that I have had a 7:45AM math class this semester and an occasional need for caffeine. With that being said, there is no reason for anyone from the school or nearbye would need to go to the Eon cafe. None. The coffee at the school taco truck is way better and costs 50 cents! There is an entire cafeteria full of smoothies and froo froo fake coffee as well. We have lots of wifi, t1 connections in the science halls. However, if you like their overpriced bad coffee, then that's your bag. It's just a pet peeve of mine. The atmosphere is awful as well, since this place seems to host socially awkward people who compensate for this fact by hoarding themselves inside the cafe. This place is like a halfway house for those too intimidated or unwilling to mix with others from the school, (I hope you're reading between the lines here). I came in after 1ish and Yoshi, the owner... saw me and gave out a big smile. In my head... awww... He asked me how I was... I told him life was good. He smiled. I saw Martin... he asked how I was... This review is overdue. I love this cafe. My ci workers and I were going here almost every morning last year. Their coffee is really strong & sweet just how I like it. I normally get an iced White chocolate macadamia latte & a breakfast burrito (more like a quesadilla because it's panini pressed) but either way it's amazing. I believe it comes with sausage, egg, cheese, onions, & mushrooms (but Yeni prepare it in the morning so you can't ask them to remove ingredients) but still really tasty. They make the salads the morning of & you can tell they use fresh ingredients. I've tried their green noodle salads. For lunch I like their chicken chipotle panini. Its not just mocha or vanilla and all those other ho hum flavors, they have a long list of yummy flavors on their menu. I always get the White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Latte, yes it really is as delicious as it sounds. I don't like my coffee sweet sweet but if you get 1/2 the sweetness, its pretty perfect for me. This is my absolute favorite for a cup of coffee (be it black coffee or one of their espresso drinks like Café Bianco), pastries (ie. cheese bagel), and/or ramen! Ramen is only available for the weekends but it's an absolute must try! It's very different compared to Ramen places around. Their soup base is the best with a creamy texture that you will never get tired of. Instead of conventional noodles, they use GreeNoodles, which is natural, healthy, and REALLY delicious! Overall, it's a big portion that I am always satisfied with. Their black coffee is amazing but the Café Bianco is my favorite. It's white mocha but it's not super sweet compared to other coffee shops. You can also taste the espresso shots mixed in; Usual white mochas I order elsewhere would be way to sweet, covering the espresso taste. Cute place across the street from Chabot College. I ran across it while running some errands near there. Good spot to get your study on or to grab a bite to eat on your way to work, or at lunchtime. Very clean, friendly service, comfy chairs, and pretty darn good coffee. Free wifi is always a plus. It was pretty spacious, with both indoor/outdoor seating. I'm a mocha connoisseur, so I love to try out the mocha's at each new spot i go to. I had their nonfat mocha, and i must say, it was one of the best mocha's i've ever had. Eon is located right across Chabot College. I personally like coming here to put together programming concepts while I enjoy a soy two pump mocha. Love this cafe! I work remotely and had to be in Hayward today. Found this gem thanks to Yelp. Great cafe with lots of food and drink options (sandwiches, salads, even ramen). I used to go here all the time with my friend. We go to "study" but in reality we just go to catch up and talk about our problems. This was when Eon first opened...now that time has changed and people has moved on I don't go here as much. I'd stop by with other friends to "study" every now and then but I'm not a usual anymore. Since I haven't been here for a while it's always nice to go back and visit. Now every time I go to Eon to "study" it's always so packed! There aren't enough seats to sit or there's only the little round tables which doesn't fit nothing! I can't put my laptop + textbooks + drink...so everything ends up being on a chair or on the floor. Kinda sucks...it's mostly crowded by the students from Chabot because the school is right across the street. They're really big on their mulberry stuff...a little too much, but I like their mulberry tea, unsweetened. Drinks and pastries here are pretty good and the prices are reasonable. They have open mic and I've only been to one...well technically i was there not knowing that it was open night. Truthfully I didn't really like it. I wanted to enjoy my drink while I converse with my friend but it was way too loud and I did not like what I was hearing. Maybe it was just me. My study group meets her on occasion to practice ASL. The selection of coffees and teas is plentiful and they also have a variety of pastries too. There's outdoor seating as well as indoor with a couple of couches to boot. It does get pretty crowded especially since Chabot is across the street but overall, my experience was pretty decent. Just don't plan on bringing a large group of people here because there aren't a lot of seats. I'd say 3-4 people per table max. The prices were reasonable and my apple spice chai really hit the spot. Coffee is good. I regularly get the Iced Dutch Coffee which is great and will get you wired. What makes this place awesome is the Ramen. Pros Walking distance from Chabot college soccer fields Clean facility, actually very inviting friendly service I mean its pretty hard not to smile back when the guy taking your order is so darn sweet and friendly! tasty latte which helps gets me back to something resembling a human Walking into Eon is more like walking into a little cafe.
