Went there specifically for the fish and chips because it's an Irish pub. Sadly, we were disappointed. Batter, though seasoned nicely, was more like what you get on fish sticks and not a beer battered tempura style. They were also small and one was inedible because it was rubbery. Should have gotten a burger, which looked great on another customers table. Seems more like a burger bar than an Irish pub. Really wanted to love this place. read more

I've been going to Enoch's since I was a kid (in the afternoons of course) and their food never disappoints! The secret gem of this menu is the curry sauce. I usually dip both my fries and burger in this and it is comparable to no other sauce around Monroe. You can't go wrong with any of their burgers. In town for work and needed a good beer and something to eat after a long day of airports and airplanes. Found this place and let me just say west Monroe knows how to confuse someone with all their one way street's. Once I got that straightened out I had a seat at the bar. I believe the bartender said her name was Shannon (sorry terrible with remembering names) but she gave me a beer suggestion and I told her give me her favorite Po'Gie and she brought out the Mickey Finn and fries. That was a delicious sandwich. I'm not sure why but I usually don't like horsey sauce but this one hit different. I think it paired with the creamy slaw made it great. The bread was soft, the corned beef was piled on, the kraut was tangy and the creamy slaw and horsey sauce made it a perfect combination. Shannon was very friendly and made a few other suggestions for site to see before leaving. If I'm back in the area I'll be stopping in again. read more

Cool little place but wanted to charge us for a spot 20 min after we entered to listen to the band. We had already tipped the band $40 when they came and asked for $10 per person. We had 6 people. We would have stayed all night and spent over $150 but because they were greedy, they got $0. read more

Food fantastic. Super fresh veggies on tasty bread. Bartender was awesome. Hubs enjoyed a couple of beers and had the bartender just whip up something traditional and tasty of his choice for me. That was so kind, and objectively it was great, but it had so much lime, and my hubs forgot to mention that lime bothers my mouth and tummy. Not his fault at all. No problem. He poured me an Irish Old Fashioned that knocked my socks off. Ambiance just as expected- live music in one room, friends gathering outdoors, greetings around the bar, and more quiet diners in yet another dining area. 1/8/20 Came here for my late late dinner. I came into town and wanted to have food from a local non-chain restaurant that wasn't just serving everything fried. So this place came up and just in time. I called to make a pick up order and their kitchen was just about to start clean up, so I made it just in time to order my grub. I ordered some buffalo chicken fries, a burger and bread pudding. I enjoyed the ambience that I stayed and had a couple glasses of wine. Everyone was so friendly and the food was delicious. I had such a fun time hanging out here as I felt welcomed like a local. Enoch's is a hidden gem found in West-Monroe Louisiana. We were there for a military mission and found our little "home" to go to multiple times a week. It's your mom's favorite dive bar- reasonably priced drinks, write your order on paper, had karaoke and live bands. Service was nice, you ordered food at the bar and they brought it to your table. Seating inside is very minutes, but their covered patio and lively ambiance made it worth it! Made many memories with coworkers here! read more

The food was fantastic. I got a spicy Jammy, it's a burger with a pepper jelly, bacon, cheese, and a burger with a flavor I've never personally tasted at a restaurant. It didn't taste generic, it was fresh and seasoned, and you could tell. The atmosphere is not what I expected at all, it was very friendly/family oriented and peaceful. It was a very calm, but exciting buzz in the air. The customer service was phenomenal. The guy at the bar that I spoke with was very friendly and had a lot of good suggestions from the menu. I was there for an hour or two but it felt like I had known the guy for years the way he kept up conversation. Very good spot for a calm lunch or a nice dinner. Definitely 10/10 would recommend to anybody who likes a family oriented bar & grill! Will be visiting again soon! read more

Hamburgers are super delicious. The hamburger I tried was an absolute delight. The moment I took my first bite, I was greeted by a juicy, perfectly seasoned beef patty cooked to perfection. The meat was tender, flavorful, and had a nice char on the outside. The combination of flavors was balanced, and every ingredient shone through. I generally like the low-key atmosphere of the place. They have outdoor and indoor seating. It's divey but just the right amount. I've never been to a truly horrible Irish pub so it was just fine. I had been here the first time I visited my sister years ago for just drinks. Came back recently and tried the food. I personally didn't think it was bad although I had been starving and at various airports for at least ten hours prior and was probably willing to eat dog food at this point. But my sister said it was horrible in comparison to what it used to be. My sister and I split the St. Patrick Burger (Avocado, Provolone, jalapenos, and dressing) and the Southsider sandwich (Slow Roasted beef, slaw, and bbq sauce). The pulled meat sandwich was significantly better than the over cooked what tasted pre-frozen meat patty that was as well done as it comes. The one good thing with the food was that they have a curry mayo sauce and an irish gravy stew sauce for your thick cut fries. Love love love. Her coworker went with an order of nachos and they were kind of stale. However, after reading a few reviews from locals apparently they sell 2-for-1 burgers on Tuesday nights - get on it! Things that are great about this place - the beers and drinks are incredibly cheap. I was in shock when the bill came. I don't even know if it was happy hour but whatever hour it was - damn son. Wider selection of bottles than drafts on tap but that's okay. I find it nice that they have a general good community and lots of regulars here. They have live bands come in every week, trivia nights, and when I was there a bard night. Yes, you heard me. They have live poetry readings for people of all ages and talents. Enoch's by far has the best burgers in town!!! Make sure to go early (5pm) on Tuesdays since it's their 2 for 1 burger night and the place gets packed quickly since it's so small! I came here with my best friend, her friends and my ex to celebrate my besties' birthday. It's located on a pretty busy street in Monroe and can be overly looked because it's kinda tucked away considering what it's located by. Parking is practically nonexistent but since most of the businesses were closed, parking in empty business lots was a breeze. It's a cute little pub compared to those I've visited in Atlanta. The location had a cozy feel with lots of dim lights, cute urban pictures on the walls and nice dark wood tables and chairs, well from what I could see in the lighting. It was about seven of us and seating was minimal because of the amount of people there but we all made due. There is an outside patio that's covered during the winter and usually there is live music going on. Now my favorite part about trying any new place food and drinks!!! So my bestie recommended the White Russian which I didn't know how I felt about drinking milk and alcohol together and my feelings stood true. It was the most disgusting thing I've ever had. I guess my tastebuds were not pleased because that was a horrible experience. Thankfully the bartender was okay with changing my drink to an ameretto sour which was huge!! They didn't not skimp in any portion sizes that night. We also ordered burgers and fries. My besties and ex ordered the brunch burgers with fries and I had the turkey burger with fries. Can I say HUGE and DELICIOUS!!! That was the best burger I had ever had. I can't believe I ate the whole thing but y'all it was everything. It was so juicy and the brunch burger couldn't have been any better. There were no complaints that night other than the smokers and the smoke traveling everywhere and mixing with my hair I have no complaints. Worst service ever! Our waitress disappeared for close to an hour. We asked a busboy to get her. He said okay but she never came. We actually called from our table and was told that if they couldn't get there we should order from the bar. What??? Went to the bar and was told "We are busy with other people." Haven't tried the food yet but the atmosphere there is great. The service there is above and beyond what other places in the same category offer. Greeted with a smile and treated even better, this is why I love this place. At no time did I find myself waiting to get a drink as the staff there are on top of their game and usually get to you in time to get you your next drink promptly (now that's service). Growing up in Syracuse I was surrounded by Irish pubs and grills, we are a very Irish area and are very keen on what makes a pub a pub. Enoch's does it right with their set up and everything seems to be in order. I would plan on taking more trips out there but not really knowing anyone down here makes me only go once in a great while. When I do go however I enjoy my time like no other. Great COLD drinks and I would need to order food at some point but I'm sure it's just as good. Great music and great people. Enoch's is the only place I've found in Monroe that gives me that Irish pub I so dearly miss back home. read more

They don't give you one sever for one thing. We had sever different people "waiting" on us and I use that term loosely. They were not friendly in the least. The customers were trashy and cussing loudly. The servers were more interested in hanging out with their friends than they were waiting on the customers. The food is so ver nasty. Walking into Enoch's two things were apparent. 1. This was a locals' neighborhood bar 2. I will be posed with the question "You ain't from around here are you?". There is a beer garten outside with several picnic tables. The inside is dark with a small bar. I stopped in on a Monday night and folks were focused on the football games. I asked a few questions about the wine (which was basically a white and a red) and instead of answering my annoying questions, bartender Johnny just replied assuredly "It's gooood". He was right. They cook the food on a grill clearly visible to anyone sitting at the bar. I kept hearing the sizzle of meat and with the enticing smell lingering in the air, I had to order a burger. I asked Johnny what is special about the burgers, he replied "They just good". He was right. Collins style (their plainest of the burger offerings). It came with grilled onions on top and steak fries with gravy on the side. I asked for a side of the curry sauce (sort of like a ranch curry). OMG, OMG OMG...the burger was perfect. The large steak fries were hot all the way through (no cold spots hidden in the middle), and seasoned well and tasted awesome in the curry sauce! Looking as if I am about to cry the bartender asks me how it is. I only could utter "so good so good". A local and the bartender seemed amused and snickered. The only thing I was not crazy about was the beer selection but I am sure they know what sells there and they did have the Irish staple of Guinness. If you find yourself in Monroe, you must stop by Enoch's and get the burger! It was one of the best burger and fries I have ever had. read more

This place has amazing burgers. My friend and I both had the St. Patrick's Avocado Burger and we were blown away. So delicious! Good fries too, and lots of beers on tap. The prices are really reasonable and the service was good and friendly. We missed the live music, but heard that it was good. The only draw back is the huge number of stinky smokers puffing away at every table. Edited to add: Don't go on a Tuesday! The quality goes way down and the wait is unreasonable. read more

Oh my God, ya gotta go to Enoch's. When I go home, it's the place I always hook up with a friend. It's a go-to place for us because it has great atmosphere and yummy food. I like spicy so I'm always up for the jalapeno burger. You have to shout to be heard if there's a good crowd. Even on an off-night you can depend on a row of regulars at the bar. What I love about Enoch's is that it is unpretentious. It is not trying to be anything but a corner pub with a reliable bar menu. You can find musical entertainment some nights. Other nights, the entertainment is all in the storytellers holding down the bar stools. Everytime I go in, I am guaranteed to see at least one if not two familiar faces. For me, it's a Cheers-type place. So the short story is if you want a good brew and a burger, head down to Enoch's when you are in Funroe. read more

This place offers a very interesting dining menu in addition to a fair selection of beers on tap or bottled. Most everything is reasonably priced, as Sira mentioned. I'm a vegetarian and I'm very pleased at what Enoch's offers especially for vegetarians on their menu. What I've had has always come out fresh and warm and tasty. The fries are awesome, to boot. To avoid the crowded interior, I just sit in the patio area for some fresh air. On our drive east, we stopped at Enoch's for dinner. Our dinners were delicious. My wife had the Park Avenue which consisted of a grilled portabella with sautéed mushrooms, provolone cheese, and grilled onions. Her side was a tossed salad. I had Murphy's Muffaletta which consisted of ham, salami, Irish corned beef, provolone cheese, cream cheese, mustard, and homemade olive mix. My side was the steak fries. Been here twice now and both experiences were very good. The food comes out in a timely manner and the prices are fair. Not all menu items are created equal but I still feel it's a great place. The atmosphere can vary from lively to reserved, but not too reserved to where you can't enjoy yourself. read more
