Quality is top notch, pies are delicious!! The problem lies in the portions and price. I know restaurants are expensive these days, but their prices make it to where it's not worth eating there. This is a regular stop for us on the way from Texas to Destin. The roast beef poboy is delicious with the gravy. The real reason for stopping is the banana caramel pie though! It's heavenly! I once upon a time loved this place. Gave it a 3rd star because the counter help was very polite and service friendly. Ordered Banana Caramel Pie and Carrot Cake to go. The Carrot Cake was gummy with too much icing. The dessert's consistency was more of a sticky, overly sweet toffee that clung to my teeth. The Banana Caramel Pie had too much whip cream and caramel with too few bananas. The two(2) pie slices were about $14.00. In Monroe, LA that is high brow pricing. This stop was just for pie, and I must say I was not disappointed. The reviews raved about the banana caramel pie which did not disappoint! It was fresh sliced bananas topped with what tasted like homemade caramel, whipped cream, and some cruchy bits. The crust was amazing and held together. My oh pie! This place was delicious! We ordered the club sandwich and roast beef poboy (with hot brown gravy), yum! We also shared a slice of coconut pie -- from scratch and perfectly Southern. This is your hole-in-the-wall pie place. Not Just Pie is all about the pie!! They have a huge sign on the wall with all their types of pies and we got three: chocolate, banana caramel, and boston cream pie. We started with some grilled cheese so we weren't too hungry and it wasn't the best. The pie is definitely the highlight of this place. The banana caramel pie was our favorite. Every single bite was eaten and not a crumb left. The chocolate pie was rich but pretty good too. And the boston cream pie I wasn't a fan of since it is more of a cake than pie in my opinion. Top five pie of all time for me...and I loves me some pie!! I got the banana caramel and chocolate meringue (my fave type of pie). Flaky crust full of flavor, and the filling was like heaven. Its worth the trip so if you live relatively close by, you MUST check out this place. I had to stop at two but could have eaten several more slices. its impossible to see from the road so you need to know where it is (last store on a strip mall). The po boys are also said to be good, but I stuck to the pie. I'm in Monroe once a year and so next year I am stopping by again and if I am ever close by...it will be go time. Very rude people! We went in there at 3:30 one day and they did not even have very many pies to choose from. We asked for strawberry pie and the waitress said we are out of that kind and the kinds that we do have are in the display then walks off. We had no idea what kinds of pies those were. She was too lazy to even name the ones they had. Also why are you out of pie? You are called not just pie which means you have a lot of pie and some other things. We got up to leave and the owner who was hanging out with her friend said did y'all change your minds and I said yes you don't have strawberry pie and she just shrugged and said well come again. I got so upset that I called her right after we left and I told her about how the waitress would not even tell us what kinds of pies they had and how we would not be coming back and the owner just said ok. My husband and I have dropped in for pie at Not Just Pie, as a tradition, every Friday for the last 3 years. We've had every flavor they make from the pecan to apple to chocolate meringue. All of them are amazing!!! Recently, we bought two Chicken Pot Pies to take home for dinner...and they were equally good! We are moving from Monroe to Shreveport, but we will drive back frequently for Not Just Pie!
