We had an emergency trip to Monroe which lead to a hard situation and ended with a funeral. We had heard of daily harvest before but when we had a meat tray and fruit tray arrive to the house we were amazed. Our out of town family ordered both and had them delivered to the house. The food lasted us the whole week and we were able to share with visitors who stopped by. The fruit was gorgeous and very tasty. The meat and cheese was perfect for making sandwiches or just eating with some crackers. Stopped in this morning to pick up a call ahead carryout order. Ordered Ghost Cheese & Ham Melt, Cheesy Crepe with Cheddar, Pepper Jack, and Ghost Pepper Cheese, 2 Jalapeno Cheddar Kolaches, Sweet Potato Muffin, Carrot & Cream Cheese Muffin, Brownie, and Frozen Cheesy Chicken Enchiladas!!! Whatever, I was hungry!!!! Oh my goodness!!! The food was amazing!!!! I only could eat a few bites of everything and look forward to reheating the rest for breakfast tomorrow morning. Sad because I also ordered Cinnamon Roll with extra icing. It was not included. Good News!! I now have another reason to return!!!!! I will add an additional comment when I try out the Enchiladas. Three words: banana nut bread! Try it and you'll be coming back for more! The Daily Harvest is one of my fave local bakeries here in Monroe. They always have the BEST and BIGGEST cookies! I have to refrain from trying to buy everything I taste in there! What can I say? I'm a sucker for sweets! I had their Thursday lunch special today--a hearty serving of lasagna served w/ a side salad and a whole wheat breadstick. Lasagna = happy and very full tummy! I also picked up a ginger molasses cookie and a cranberry-raisin-nut muffin...and of course both were delish. Also, the locals rave about the chicken salad here so I will have to try that next time. read more

Service at counter was very courteous. Got a Turkey Jalapeño Stack was salty and a lil too sweet. Potion was huge. If I had Frito Chips would have poured turkey chili over the Fritos for a Frito Pie. Ate 1/3 chili w/ cheese, and discarded jalapeño corn bread. Tea was good and refills are free. Will try again in future. read more

Been hearing about this place so since I was working in the neighborhood, I decided to try. I ordered the tomato basil veggie wrap. Being a loyal omnivore I added chicken to it. This was probably the best lunch I've eaten in Monroe in a long time. The proportions were perfect and great flavor. I recommend this to anyone. They serve breakfast, lunches and dinners. Have a great assortment of to go casseroles and baked breads and muffins. And not to mention cookies the size of dinner plates. read more

I am in town for both business and pleasure. We had wanted a restaurant that was open for breakfast. There are very limited options on this side of Monroe, even fast food restaurants with breakfast is scarce. A local had suggested this restaurant/bakery, as it opens at 7 am, we were there at 8:30 am. Atmosphere: The decor is not modern. There is a mural on the wall that was interesting though. The dining area is open into the kitchen area, with some refrigerators on the right side with some products for sale in it. Food: Both impressed and disappointed. The hot breakfast options were very limited. I had ordered an egg, ham, and cheese breakfast sandwich, a friend had ordered an egg and bacon wrap. The wrap had come out in large portion, but was bland. The only flavour was from the bacon. My breakfast sandwich was in a burger-like bun, with scrambled egg, instead of fried. Fried would have been faster to cook, and stayed in one piece. The scrambled egg kept falling out of my sandwich, and only flavour came out from the ham. The muffins were good, heavy, and not too sweet. That was quite filling. The cheese Danish, however, was a disappointment. It was like a cinnamon roll, without the cinnamon, and a slab of cream cheese icing on top. I guess it is just like a cinnamon roll with the cream cheese frosting, but without the cinnamon. The only drink options at the moment were fountain drinks, and iced sweet tea, we had to wait 10 minutes for our hot tea. Service: The woman at the cash register was pleasant, but seemed disorganized. I think she may have been frazzled by our crowd of five showings up suddenly. If I were to be back in this area again, I would probably just buy a muffin and/or a cookie, but would not order a hot breakfast item again. Note: If you need to use the restroom, I suggest waiting until you leave, or go before arriving at this place. I'm not crazy about the toilet paper left on the floor, nor the cleanliness of it. read more

This was the WORST dining experience I have had in a LONG time! I unwrapped my bland "turkey wrap" to put a little pepper on it. There was a piece of slimy black lettuce on it and I pulled it out just as the man at the counter was delivering more food to the table.
