This little gem of a place was amazing. It was relocated about 8 years ago into a small strip mall, but that didn't take away from the sweet, southern hospitality. Our server made us feel like we were part of the regulars; this was our first time there. She thoroughly explained the menu, what was great, and her favorites. She even invited us to lunch and told us the Beef Tips were what they were known for. The food was incredible. I only added salt to my eggs; everything else was seasoned beautifully. The portions were JUST RIGHT. Walked away feeling satisfied. It honestly felt like I had a meal at granny's house. What a wonderful experience.

Wow- went her on a whim & hubs & I were very impressed from the eclectic homey decor to the super friendly waitresses not to mention both the grilled & blackened redfish. Hubs had salad, rice & brown gravy & I got the turnip greens & season rice. We also had the hot water corn bread. As a bonus their entrees come with a dessert (cake of the day a la mode) - A nice little treasure with very reasons prices in West Monroe. Go check them out!

This is a good place to get breakfast. Let me set the stage for you so you understand how I ended up here. I was traveling for work and staying at a nearby hotel. I met the tea in the lobby and imagine my surprise when the free breakfast had no eggs at all. I mean, they had hard-boiled eggs but who eats that for breakfast? This turned out to be a blessing in disguise since it led me to find Belle's. Belle's is just what I want in a breakfast restaurant. Super friendly staff, filled with locals, and normal breakfast. I hate boujee breakfast. If you like boujee breakfast, I am not judging you. Because you are probably a girl and who doesn't like girls. However, boujee breakfast places cannot make good normal breakfast, so I avoid them at all costs. I decided to try their brisket omelet. It had a great egg to stuff ratio which is key to a good omelet. Fluffy eggs are BS. A proper omelet should have thin eggs and the perfect amount of stuff. My one complaint with this omelet is that it had a sweet bbq sauce on top. I do not dig sweet breakfast and it threw the taste off a little. Luckily for me, they had hot sauce on the table. That will fix too sweet any day of the week. Will I be back? Yep. Should you come here? Yep.

Smokin' Joes skillet

Always fee like family at Belle's. The staff and owners are first rate and make sure the experience is amazing. The variety of food choices appeals to so many. Pictured is the Smokin' Joes skillet. Brisket, veggies, salsa verde, potatoes and a fried egg. So, so good. Awesome place to visit or go on the regular

Salad with grilled chicken

Delicious home cooked food. Super friendly service. If I lived in town I'd eat here often. My wife was impressed by their grilled chicken salad and I enjoyed the catfish. Great hush puppies. They offered cake and ice cream at the end of our meal. Casual, friendly ambience!

Second time here and still delicious…read more We tried to go Friday and the parking was insane, that's probably my only complaint about the entire experience . We started with the upside down chicken Caesar salad with fries. Delicious. Fries could've been hotter but the salad was the star. A meal on its own but i love that red fish so much. So seasoned, beautiful meaty fish, mmm. The service was wonderful and the sweet tea was delicious. I will always come here if I'm in town!

The music playing was very fun and the workers were extremely welcoming. However, given that it's near the river, it would be nice if they considered having outdoor tables, but it doesn't seem like there is much to see either way. We all got various cocktails, and I would highly recommend the lemonade if you really like something sweet. My table and I shared the duck wraps. they were filled with cream cheese jalapeño, and was wrapped in bacon. It was slightly sweet, which I didn't entirely prefer, but it was still very tasty and a unique dish that I would recommend everyone to try. I personally got A Burger and it was much larger than I thought it would be. It was very tasty, but it didn't have much sauce so it was slightly dry. The rest of my table got various seafood dishes, and they had very large portions. They all mentioned how well seasoned everything was. The one caveat of this restaurant was that everything took so long to get to our table. our waitress also didn't come check on us after delivering our food until it was time to pay, which was unfortunate.

Last place I saw my belongings still on the trailer was here at Sam's southern eatery…read more We had just passed the car that blew up on the highway, engulfed in flames, at the same time, chaos ensued on the other side, as a simi also crashed same place and it was also on Fire. Traffic was stopped on both sides of the highway so we took the exit & tried to go to Sam's Southern Eatery! Well, that location, we were told, was closed for no apparent reason. But they directed us to another location that was open, so we went immediately here to this location. Hubby went into order, I stayed in the car bc our 3 cats were in the back, along with two coolers of Fischer's texas pork & beef. We were also pulling a trailer with containers of personal "non-perishable" items. Like my workout gear, weights, roller blades, brand new sneakers, Fuchsia Pink Teva's, Palates/Alo yoga gear, my brand new motorcycle battery & spark plug. Anyway, it seemed to be taking a long time to get the food, so I got out of the car, checked the trailer, everything was still strapped down. Took a very cool photo of the outside of Sam's & walked inside, hubby had gone to the restroom & got locked inside the bathroom, bc there was no door knob. LMFAO. I don't make these things up this is what really happened. Anyway, the building is falling apart, it's very old as you can see from the photos. Also, not located in the best area of town, as you can see from the photo, this Sam's location is basically under an overpass of the highway. Anyway, we got our food & left as we had the kitties in the car. We started eating the fried shrimp driving down the highway as they were piping hot & super delicious as was the french fries, red beans & dirty rice. Then, someone suddenly drove up on my side in hubby's blind spot, on a bridge, as they missed an exit & they almost side swiped me on my side. Hubby swerved & we barely missed them. My phone went into the floorboard, along with some french fries. We got to a safe location, pulled over & put the cole slaw in the coolers bc we couldn't eat it, as there was way too much mayo in it for our taste. That was the last time I saw my belongings. When we got home later, the trailer was empty. All lost on the highway from hell. The fried Chicken & cole slaw made it home as we put it in the coolers. The Fried chicken was yuge, but it had no flavor, no seasonings. We never ate the cole slaw, it just had way too much mayo so we threw 2 large sides of it away. Would I stop here again? Yeah, sure. The fried shrimp, french fries, red beans & rice were very good. The po'boy, fried chicken & cole slaw were terrible, as was the temporary incarceration of my hubby lol Bad things always happen in 3's. 3 car crashes, 3 good dishes & 3 bad dishes. Just like traveling is a crap shoot, you win some you lose some. Next time, I know to use three straps for the trailer, stay away from the Fried Chicken, cole slaw & po'boy. But next time, I might just have to leave hubby locked in the restroom. (wink wink) Safe Travels.

The gal working was very friendly, that's what the star is for. The food was very sad…read more Establishment wasn't clean, and I can look past that sometimes, but the food was bad. Red beans and rice had barely any rice and was pretty flavorless, the okra was kinda uncooked, chicken tenders were pretty tough and dry (tasted old). Fish and shrimp wasn't too bad, but by association it was sad. Would not stop there again. Stopped due to the high rating of 4 stars but it just wasn't worth it. It was honestly kind of expensive as well. Sad. :( AC WAS ALSO OUT! The establishment should not have been making their employees work in that. It was like 90° in there.
