Eh, I like Flying Heart better. Especially the beer selection. I tried a flight here and most of the beers tasted generic and could've been a blonde or an amber and you wouldn't notice the difference. My DIPA was mild-mild. Pizza was ok, we ordered the margherita, the duck on white sauce, and their basic pepperoni. The ricotta hot honey dipping sauce made everything better, so I have to say this place is worth a shot, but would rather cross the river. They are dog friendly. read more

The woodfire pizzas are so good here; however in my opinion the lunch handhelds are even better. The ingredients feel very fresh and the cheese is melty. The staff is always very friendly and will provide suggestions when ordering. Sit at the bar and enjoy food and drinks and watch some sports. I do like that inside one of the TV shoes local events that are happening. The outside area is enclosed which is great for the kids running around. They have a covered patio and other picnic benches in the yard. There is an outdoor stage which happened to be utilized by two guys who were doing kinda a bluesy country show - they were great. Inside has ac but outside is fun (minus the ever annoying Monroe flies). I don't often say this about pizza but this was crave worthy. The fig jam and procuto was soo good with the charged from the wood fire. The only thing that was a bummer is we couldn't do a half and half pizza since the sauces were different. We ended up having to get two different pizzas and we'll we had left overs for days...which is why I like the lunch handhelds they are smaller - wish these were served all day. One of our favorite places to go for a beer! A little disappointed on this visit that they didn't have a sour available or Doux Drop. My husband had the Burma Blonde and I had the compassion lemon drop cocktail (a special for charity). Both were great. The Victory bread was wonderful as usual. The meatballs were tasty but my husband thought they had too much of a fennel flavor for his taste. The mushroom maverick pizza was amazing! We added sausage to it. We didn't get the kale Caesar salad this visit but it's a favorite. Also the Twin City pizza is one of our favorites as well. They often have live music and when the weather is nice it's great to sit in the outdoor area. read more

Flying Tiger recently catered an event for us and did an amazing job. Friendly, easy to work with, and best part of all they brought some amazing food. This is now a go to for me in Monroe. We got a variety of pizzas, meatballs, Victory bread and salad and it was all delicious. Everything was made from scratch and the attention to detail was fantastic. Everyone absolutely loved the food! My personal favorites was the meatballs, victory bread and the twin city with hot honey. I am getting hungry just thinking about it. Can you have pizza for breakfast? ... don't answer that, the answer is yes, yes you can. I highly recommend eating here or having them cater an event. read more

What a treat! Best pizza in Monroe, hands-down. I had the General Claire, prosciutto, lemon, fig, jam, goat cheese, and topped with arugula. Amazing flavors and the crust was out of this world. I had their Monroe logger, which was very light and refreshing. And the live music was incredible. This guy was very talented. Hope I get an opportunity to go back before I leave town. The place is pretty laid back. Its a cool atmosphere and the staff is nice. The pizza was pretty good but not a lot of specials. You can build your own though. We ordered the pappy and it was delicious. The whipped ricotta and hot honey dip on the side was a good addition to it. My only gripe is that we ordered zero sugar sodas for our beverages and they were $3.50 each for a 12oz can drink that we get out of the fridge ourselves at the counter. Just FYI. read more

This location is a wonderful addition to the downtown Monroe area & I will recommend it to anyone traveling to, through, or living in Monroe! The space is very relaxed and comfortable and the outdoor area has lawn games and is very family friendly. The beers on tap and Victory Pizza were all excellent! Flying Tiger is a cool little brewery if you're in the area! I visited while in the area to check out a local brewery, and I found this one so decided to stop in. They had a good selection of beers, and I liked the variety. I tried the Doux Drop, which I enjoyed. They have a food menu, though I didn't order anything. There was a nice indoor space with a bar and tables, and outdoor space as well. The bartender was friendly and checked in every now and then. There's plenty of parking in the area so it's easy to get here. Check this place out if you're in the area! read more

I have only been waiting 5 years to come and visit my parents and check this place out. I'm so glad I did! The interior is wide open and spacious. They have bar seating as well as some couches to get comfortable. Their outdoor area looked very cute also! They are dog friendly inside and out. The reason for the 4 stars was the beer selection. Fun place, even solo. I came here after a wedding while I was visiting. The bartender, I think her name was Kate, was really friendly. So was the guy, but he wasn' t initially there when I arrived so didn't get his name. They don't have food but allow you to bring in food from where ever. Chill atmosphere. Nice outdoor area to hang out with your friends. I was 50/50 on their beers. Didn't like their Hazy (which I think is a fan favorite), but did enjoy the blonde and their bock was outstanding! read more

The best brewery I've been to in a while. The interior is spacious and open. There is additional seating outside on the patio with yard games available. There is a beer for every taste bud. The drip drop was my favorite. The pizza though! We had The Brooklyn, nothing I thought I'd ever see on a pizza. Cream cheese, capers, lox and fennel. Amazing! Monroe, Louisiana's only craft brewery. Lies - there is another one but allegedly no one really goes to it. The space is great. It gives me automatically a very Brooklyn vibe with having a huge outdoor patio with games like cornhole and stuff. Inside the place is decorated with aeronautics honoring veterans and service men from the fighting squadron, old school pinball games including the Empire Strikes Back! The beer selection is pretty simple and no frills. I tried almost everything they had to offer between getting a flight and trying my sister's and friend's. Favorites: Nitro Bomb Milk Stout, Flying Scotsman, and Final Resting Place. The Burma Blonde was nice for something lite and sessionable. Was sad that the blackberry coconut was sold out because that sounded like the most exotic thing on tap. But was pleasantly surprised with their ipas. The milk stout tasted traditional. Again, all solid beers. Extra bonus for having gold fish crackers for free. Extra bonus - a flight only costs $8 here which is pretty much what I pay for a single pint in New York. read more

I love how the owners ave capitalized on local history to celebrate some of the things that make the Ouachita Parish diaspora proudest. What tremendous service! The bartender was so kind and enthusiastic. We looked at the menu. She said, "Let me tell you about our 2 seasonals. They are tremendous." She poured us tastes right off the bat. "I didn't even like beer until I worked here. Now I love craft beer." She was very knowledgeable and descriptive about each beer. Later, she gave us a great suggestion for dinner. The seafood nachos at Trapps were incredible. There was so much to look at inside the venue. They also had The Godfather playing on multiple screens.
