I am beginning to think Natchitoches may be the coolest town in central LA. I found myself in the city of lights for work the other day. I arrived around dinner and searched for a spot a solo diner wouldn't be oout of place. I like breweries and this seemed like the perfect fit. Located in what appeared to be an old warehouse, the space is massive. Normally that would mean poor service, super loud people, and other issues. The last giant warehouse brewery I went to involved getting your own food and barley being able to ehar yourself think. Flying Heart broke that mold. Dining is traditional restaurant style. My server was great. He was friendly, made recommendations, and ensured I had everything I needed. While slightly loud, the place was packed and it was not overwhelming. For food, I decided to try their pizza and was impressed. I still think Bayou Teche beats them brewery pizza wise, but this was a solid pizza. 5+ stars this place was amazing. I want start off thanking Haylee for her EXCELLENT customer service. She was friendly, very knowledgeable of the menu and shared the specials they had going on. The food was delicious we had a giant pretzel that was soft and delicious and we had a meat Jeffro pizza. The place had a cool setting and I loved the visible brewery behind the bar. We loved Flying Heart. Stopped on a roadtrip through Louisiana. The service was great and the bartender, Shay, was so lovely. I had the 6 of Hearts and my husband had the Highway 80. Delicious. We also got the Cajun pizza which was yummy too. Coming from SD, CA where craft brewing abounds...this was a great spot. Thank you Flying Hearts team! This was our second trip to Flying Heart Brewery! This place was once an old Cotton gin that has been remolded. The pizza come on regular crust or gluten free cauliflower crust! I had some wings there today and they were fantastic! read more

Great service , food and atmosphere. The pizza was awesome, especially with the cupping pepperoni. Greek salad was fresh and really good with some creamy Italian and pesto on it. We've stopped at Flying Heart on our last 3 trips to Natchitoches for building supplies. They have plenty of parking for trucks towing trailers or even campers and motorhomes. The service has been on point every visit. Their beer is delicious. I've tried a flight, Black Heart, Firehouse Blonde but my favorite is Louisiana Ale. The first trip we ordered the Meat Jeffro pizza-light sauce. The toppings are placed so that you get flavor in every bite, the crust is thin and crispy-everything I love about pizza. Since then, we've been unwilling to order anything else. But I'll bet their other dishes are just as good. The industrial interior is casual and welcoming. Their restrooms are spotless. I honestly cannot think of a thing I would change (but I'd love to be able to buy a Black Heart t-shirt). read more

We had the Birria pizza yesterday 5/10. The meat had decent flavor. The pizza lacked fresh onion and cilantro. It also should have had more cheese. Service was 7/10. Weird energy from whom seemed to be management and they don't know how to properly fill a growler. The keg blew and I requested they fill the growler with fresh beer....my partner doesn't complain so he let them just top it off with the new keg (which I doubt they purged) and they wiped off our growler with a dirty rag. read more

Atmosphere and staff were great. Very clean. We enjoyed the Greek salad, German pretzel, two different pizzas and the seasonal flying waffle a la mode. *German pretzel was great. Served with brown mustard and beer cheese. *Greek salad was good but it was served in a metal bowl with a metal fork. IYKYK. Also, it was missing the red onions it was suppose to have. *We ordered the Bbq pizza. It comes with sliced chicken and was very sparse. It has cilantro too and I just feel as though it doesn't belong with the flavor profiles. *Ham/pineapple pizza w/jalapeños-ham was inconsistently cut and was double/triple stacked in some spots. Jalepenos are pickled/not fresh. Slices were semi limp on both. *Seasonal flying waffle was very flavorful and the blueberry compote was delicious. Ice cream pairs well. Raspberry drizzle comes with it, but I wouldn't recommended- it had a very funny taste. Seems like a critical review, but I like to be honest about our experience. *Recommend the first two on the craft brew flight list! They were awesome. Live out of town but was there during Thanksgiving holiday. Stopped in for a drink and just to relax. Great place with pleasant service. We enjoyed a flight then settled with a seltzer! Was delish! I would highly recommend the pineapple seltzer. The building is so cool. You will want to just stop in a look around! read more

We did the Harvest Host thing and parked here with our motor home for an overnight stay at the coolest little brewery. Large parking area and really well lit. The restaurant was decorated with cool stuff and the music was good and not too loud. We saw that they were dog friendly so we brought our pup. We thought we'd have to sit outside, but it wasn't busy and they waved us on inside! They brought our pup a doggie bowl of water and most everyone had to come say hi to her and bring treats. We decided on a beer flight and ordered pretzel bites for our appetizer. They were the perfect combination of crunchy and salty! Then we ordered wraps for lunch, knowing we'd be back for supper and could get a pizza then. The wraps were LOADED with meat and cheese and came with chips or a side salad. All were delicious! Our waitress, Jenna, couldn't have been nicer! She checked on us repeatedly and even stayed to chat. She was so very nice and funny and she even let us know that she'd be happy to see us when we came back for supper. When we came back for supper, we got the sausage and shrooms pizza and Jenna recommended the Apple Jacks dessert. It was a dessert pizza with apples and Apple Jacks cereal, topped with ice cream. We stopped on a road trip, as this was one of the most well-reviewed places in town. Food was fantastic and came out quickly, and there is a ton of seating as well as clean restrooms. This was our first time in Natchitoches, so we were open to anything!! We found this brewery after searching on Yelp!!! They only had 3 pictures and barely any reviews, so I wanted to hop and and help you out if you're curious about this place!!! Pull over now!!! Go ahead!! Pull into the parking lot!! You will not be disappointed!! I had my mom and 2-year-old daughter with me. We walked in and were hit with the delicious smell of pizza right away!! It smelled fantastic!! Our hostess was friendly and we sat right away!! It is a huge open area with tons of chairs, fun decorations, a stage for live music, and a fun large bar that takes up the whole back wall! You can see the brewery behind the bar through a window which I thought was a cool touch!! We asked if they offered flights so we could try a couple of different kinds of their beer. Its a fun way to taste multiple beers! We had reservations to ride the boat on the river, so we ordered a pizza to go! This was awesome as well because we got to try the beer and the food! The mushroom and sausage pizza were amazing!! We got to take it on the boat with us and everyone was asking where we got it, so we got to promote the brewery even more!!
