This is a comfortable place. We were there for an event so I can't be too critical as the food was catered. My spouse and I enjoyed a beverage at the bar while we waited for the party to start. It was held outside on the patio area. It would have been nice if there were fans to help as when we went it was pretty hot. But we enjoyed watching sports on the TVs. The catered food was above average. I can't say that anything knocked my socks off, but the service was excellent and I have a feeling the food served in the restaurant is really good too. Solid place! The service was quick and friendly. The appetizers that we chose were the boudin tamales and the spinach artichoke dip. Both were great! I had a flight of beers and my wife ordered a Bloody Mary! My beers were ok. Her bloody could have been better but it was just ok as well. We both ordered burgers and each burger was good. The star of the show was definitely the truffle fries! Hands down some of the best fries I have ever had! We will be back for sure! read more

After a five hour drive from Texas, we stopped here tonight at 7:30 PM for a milestone birthday dinner. The young man at the door asked us what we wanted. I said that we wanted to eat. He shook his head and said if you want to try to find a seat at the bar, we could, but other than that he had nothing for us. Rather than state it would be a 45 minute wait and let us decide if we wanted to wait, he TURNED US AWAY!!! Who does that? And we were the only people waiting. Was no one going to finish their dinner at some point? I've eaten here a few times before and loved the food, but that greeting is not how a restaurant runs a business. read more

This was a great brewery. Stopped by for dinner while on a business trip and it's a great spot! Good beers, excellent food. We both got flights of different beers and they were all good. My sis and I were booking it back to DFW on a tight schedule thinking we'd be stuck with fast food for our dinner options. We round a bend in the road and spot Broken Wheel like a freaking beacon of hope in this covid apocalypse. Stopping was a trip highlight. The place was busy but service was punctual and polite. I tried most of the beers thanks to a well poured flight and found then all very enjoyable. The food was so good! We tried a pecan crusted fish fillet (I can't for the life of me remember what type of fish) and a crab cake salad or the like. Apologies for the vagueness, I'm writing this months later. Just know we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and beer all around and felt prices were very reasonable. I hope to visit again soon read more

Never a bad experience. The beer is good and the entrees are delicious and well portioned.

We had the pub tots and the crab nachos and I had fried fish and shrimp, and the homemade tartar sauce was delicious along with everything else that we had and tried. We went two days back to back with different people and they absolutely loved it.!!! read more

Came out quick and were pretty good. Down hill from there. I had the grilled tuna and my wife the shrimp and grits. Once the food came out we didn't see our waitress till we were done. The green beans that came with the tuna was so salty they were uneatable. Gravy in the shrimp and grits was extra salty too. Waitress finally came with the check, guess she assumed we didn't want dessert. "I'll tell the kitchen" was all she said about the beans. $75 disappointment...........Doubt we'll be back. read more

It's OK , nothing exceptional, the fried fish was ok but the one hush puppy was dry and no flavor at all. The garlic fried vegetables were soggy with jar minced garlic just dumped over them,,, ugghh! The service was decent up until I asked for the check and ten times I was passed up and my waitress never came so finally the bartender looked at me after having ignored me for ten minutes with my hand holding the CC and bill in the air stepped over and took my CC. We couldn't have been much more disappointed in our meal. The burger buns were basic sesame buns and stale. The burger was cool, as were the truffle and waffle fries. The shrimp poboy had three tiny shrimp in each half and the bread was awfully stale. For a $40 meal for two, this was just horrible. The beer must be the attraction because there was absolutely nothing redeeming to our experience. I was pleasantly surprised with my meal. I thought the quality and freshness of my meal was above average. I ordered the shrimp Poboy and and the bread was fresh and the shrimp was well seasoned. The only negatives I could come up with are a the prices are a little high and I would recommend using larger shrimp instead of the small ones they used. My husband and I had an opportunity today to have lunch here. Oh my; it was so delicious! I had the seafood salad, which was topped with the most beautiful soft-shell crab I have ever seen. The beer was also delicious. Their lemon drop martinis are fabulous, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. We are so lucky to have such a fine restaurant in Avoyelles Parish. Today I went to broken wheel brewery to order things that I love from there. I received great customer service from the server however from the kitchen I received a cold Burger and when I told him that the Burger was cold what they did then shocked me the Burger microwaved and brought it out in less than a few seconds I have never received service like that from them before so I was very shocked and disappointing I have been a customer since they were brown bag gourmet and I've never gotten food like that.. I'm hoping this was an off day and that this will not repeat itself. The Thing that a most shocked bill is that no one came out to talk to me Or acknowledged that there was a mistake.. I brought my out of town guest to eat there and while I sat there waiting for her to finish her food I had nothing to eat because they did not offer an option for me basically they said skip me for lack of a better word. read more
