Adopted Dog is dog focused and makes solid beer with good food. If you don't like beer, you can still eat good food in a good atmosphere. I have had three different styles and all ranged from good to very good. The food. Cheese curds - get the sampler platter. Three different types of cheese curds that are lightly fried and totally good. Who knew fried cheese curds could be delicious? I guess the Wisconsin people and Canadians but now you know too. Brussel sprouts - Just get them. Crispy and tasty is all you need to know. Smash burger - If you like smash burgers, you will like this one. I don't (i prefer a thick patty), so it was fine, but again, not my preference. The outside area is very cool. While there are long tables, games, and TVs, there are also Adirondack chairs. Decent brewery. I like the vibe and the fact that they have live music. It's got plenty of parking and it's off the beaten path. It was pretty busy on a Friday night. After sampling a few brews I got the Sequoia. It was decent. I love a good IPA and I was a little disappointed I didn't find one that knocked my socks off lol. The fried catfish was pretty good. We sat outside on a beautiful day with plenty of shade. Our friends had flights they thoroughly enjoyed most of what they had. They were offered sips for samples. Our server Lex was awesome. Two of us had the smashburger which I thought was just the right amount of thin! My friend enjoyed hers as well. It was smaller than I was expecting. The fries and a homemade chips were delicious. My friends got the brussel sprouts. They thought they were good. Two of them couldn't finish them. I didn't try them because there's no way I would eat that lol. The also charged me more for getting ranch. I had to wait again for them to remake it. They never offered me any money back. And sitting at the bar side. The waitress was not conversational. We love coming here to sit outside, relax, and have a few beers with our pup and kids. It's rustic in a good way, and the giant fan keeps things comfortable even in the south Louisiana heat. Sometimes there's entertainment - live music, trivia, or bingo. Service is really fast and attentive. The handheld POS system seems to help with efficiency. My only small gripe is that some of the food items are expensive for what you get. Two (not large) pretzel sticks for $10 is excessive, but many other menu items are priced fairly and we have always enjoyed the food. read more

Such a great dog friendly place! They have good beer and the service was amazing! The servers were so nice to my dog (and us, but let's be real, it's my dog that matters). They have a nice big covered patio where you can sit on concrete, or in lower chairs on grass (I think it is fake grass but I'm not sure). It is also adjacent to a park and when you feel like your dog (or kids) need it, you can just step right out into the park! The night we went they had music. Not friendly staff.......Went on a Saturday and they had a brunch menu......smashburger with an egg on top.....I asked for the egg to be well done, and when it came out, my first bite, I had yolk running down my hand.....oh and the tater tots were not tater tots, they were tater crowns.....a lot smaller which means less potato inside so the flavor was off. My water glass smelled like fish....the wife's FF's were room temperature...and when pointing this out to the waitress, all we got were excuses why....not can I get you more FF's.....and different glass of water......and then when the bill came they charged me for a salad dressing.....I have a $10 off coupon still to use.....will probably throw it in the trash....not planning on a return visit....did I mention dogs barking and growling close by? read more

Went there for dinner on Friday 4/10/26. Our group of 8 sat outside where the volume level was so loud we could barely talk across the table. Appetizers of bread sticks (2) and Brussel sprouts were way overpriced for the quantity received. Their hazy IPA is not nearly as good as Ghost in the Machine, The fried fish were good but fries were cold when served and I tried some of the chips and they were not any better. I was charged a $1.50 extra for about a tablespoon of Tarter Sauce when I asked for a little more. Not someplace I would ever go back to. read more

The waitress was super nice and made excellent recommendations for a flight of beer, appetizer and entrees. Check on us a few times and made great conversation. The beer cheese was delicious and we used the rest to dip our fries and chips. For our entrees we had the flavor packed Italian pressed sandwich with homemade chips an the best hamburger on a pretzel bun I've had in a long time. The sear on my juicy burger was excellent. What a find. I happened to be staying near here and love to try microbreweries. I was immediately greeted by a very friendly waitress who was able to help me decide what beer to select. We started with the Cheese Curd appetizer. Oh my! It was delicious! Three sauces (keep the sauces for dipping your French fries later!) and different batters on the curd pieces. So good. I ended splitting a flight with someone and remember really enjoying the oatmeal pie stout and some other beer with the name Doberman. Anyway, the best was the smash burger. It was heaven. I bit into it and the flavors were just amazing. It had some sauce on it that accentuated everything and drove it to a new level. Every employee I met was very friendly. There is a small arcade for the kids if you want to turn them loose with some quarters. I went in the early evening and it had a nice happy vibe. It was a cold and rainy day so ate inside. The selection and quality of the beer brewed in house is amazing! The food is incredible too. The entire staff is down to earth and happy to answer all questions about the brewery and products. Also happy to provide small sample pours. It has a small game room for kids and adult kids alike, a beautiful patio and ambiance indoor and outside. Obviously all animals are welcome, as long as others are safe to visit all the same. Staff is knowledgeable, kind and respectful. Sweet merch of hats and souvenirs. I would recommend trying the oatmeal cream pie porter, truly a masterpiece, among other usual suspects of IPAs, Brown Ale, Kolshe, Lager, Sour... pretty much all usual suspects in fine quality form. We took a quick get out of town weekend just across state lines. Finding new breweries is always a plus! We stumbled across this place in our search for new brews and bar food! As we stood there looking a little confused the absolute BEST server of all time greeted us and escorted us to a table. This angels name is Hilary. If you ever make it by there make sure and request her. She was very knowledgeable about all the beers and the food menu! We ordered 3 flights and honestly had trouble picking a fav! We also ordered a cheese curd trio. Yes, 3 different flavor curds with 3 different dips. Yummy! Ask about how the place came about when you visit. Interesting story. Dogs are allowed on the outdoor patio where certain night's entertainment is provided. The ambience is a laid back chill feel with a few tvs to catch any sports you're interested in watching. Ate here for the first time last night. Will probably be the last. When we walked in we were told by bar tenders to sit where we liked. We waited over 10 minutes with bar tenders looking over at us before they got a waitress from the back to come serve us. This should have been a sign, but we continued. We ordered our meals and my wife was brought a child's menu sized chicken fingers (two fingers for an adult). My daughter had ordered a cheese pizza from the kids menu and find out later that order wasn't even placed. Another waitress comes up after we were served minus the pizza and I jokingly asked if the chicken fingers were a child size.... she replied it was, we also said the pizza never came out and this was when it was realized it never got put in. The waitress then said she was going to put in a new adult order for the chicken and to enjoy the smaller order as a mistake. When the chicken and pizza came out the chicken was just two more fingers and not a full order as was stated. Moving on to desert.... ordered the bread pudding which was the most dry peice bread pudding I have ever had even with the sauce over it. This plus a burger and 2 beers, a bloody Mary, tea and a soda was over $100.00!!!!! Way over priced for amount served!!! Lafayette's first and only brewpub is an absolute triumph! Family friendly and outdoor dog friendly; the vibe, ambience, and comfort are fantastic. I had the Fleur de Lis Golden Lager which was very good. There are several other beers, including an IPA, Blueberry Blonde, Dragonfruit Sour, and other daily, brewed on-site, options. And don't forget to eat! The Beer Cheese Nachos are munchalicious. The Pressed Italian Sandwich is exceptional. The burgers are also good but I'm not a huge fan of Pretzel Buns.
