I have eaten at Spigot's several times and the food is consistently good. I really appreciate a good hamburger and Spigot's burgers are exceptional. They make the patties, unlike a lot of places that use frozen premade patties, and they are cooked to perfection. The toppings are fresh and the bread is fresh and warm. My husband and I had eaten here a few years ago but had been wanting to go back with our brunch crew. We were heading home from our Avery Island weekend and were able to stop for Sunday Brunch! Although we arrived at about 10:30, they were already full and we were looking at a 30 minute wait so we decided to order drinks and appetizers and sit outside while we waited. We had an Express ya'self Martini, boudin queso, biscuits and this week's special French toast - Butterfinger Fench toast all of which were delicious! We decided not to get any entrees as we were full and often do that at brunch but had to try the mouth watering Turtle Caramel cheesecake which was superb! My one negative is that I found most of the staff not very friendly and welcoming. It was just like "well this is my job". We go to a lot of different restaurants to try their brunches and this was probably the least liked staff so far. Even the bartenders gave me the impression of "come on and stop asking questions". For us, we like to have staff who are excited about sharing their restaurant and happy to see us. A few of my coworkers decided to go there to celebrate some birthdays and a work anniversary. I've heard a lot of great things about Spigots but it was my first time eating there. Our server was very attentive and decor is very nice. We got an order of the birria nachos to start off with. I've never been served pork when I've ordered birria but it was delicious and the consommé to dip the nachos in was nice. My main dish was the tuna poke bowl. It was so good! The tuna tasted super fresh and I loved all the little additions to the bowl. It's the perfect amount of food that won't leave you stuffed and miserable going back to work. Came to La for Christmas and could not pass up the opportunity to visit this pub. Went in on a Saturday around 6pm. It was a small crowd and we chose a table close to the brew room. The service started out kind of shaky and toward the end of our time there it improved by 20%. I would say training on the beers and communication are what needs improvement. But everyone, even the manager were very very nice & polite. We started off with a flight. The beers were very good. Weiss, Motor Boat, Dunkle, & Sweet Potato. The Weiss was hands down my favorite. I ordered a pint after my flight. For food we chose 3 appetizers to share. Beer Battered Onion Rings. They were ok. In my opinion, they were over battered. BUT you get a lot per order. Sausage & Cheese Platter- andouille, smoke gator, & green onion sausages. And came with 3 types of cheeses. This was good, but would not order it again. SAVED THE BEST FOR LAST. Spigots Wings tossed in house made Blackberry Jalapeño sauce. Oh this was jammin. I wanted about 3 more orders of these wings. The prices are good and the location is perfect. Bf and I decided to try out this place after hearing raving reviews from multiple friends. Sadly, we did not enjoy our experience. We ordered hamburgers, wings, and the giant pretzel. Hamburger meat was very greasy and flavorless. I was only able to eat two bites of my burger to try it but couldn't stomach eating any more of it. Fries were delicious but there were a good bit of undercooked ones. Honey BBQ wings were ok, nothing special. Pretzel was mediocre as well. Honestly, it could've been an off night or we just had an off meal, but it's quite pricey so we do not plan to go back. For two burger w/ fries, 6 wings, 1 giant pretzel, and water, our meal was $50. Another business trip, another brewery! Where am I this week? I'd say I can't recall but it will be hard to forget Spigots. Spigots is in a very nice building and really, really nicely decorated and furnished. It definitely seemed like a great place to hang out. Katrina was the bartender when I was there. She was friendly and helpful. I could not have asked for better service. Spigots had a crap-ton of beers on tap. For those of you who are not in the know in the beer industry, that is an official descriptor for when a place has many beers on tap. I didn't count but they had about 25 taps. Now if you are going to have that many beers on tap, you need to have a freaking complete beer list! I'm old and can't read the taps from across the bar because I didn't wear my bifocals! They did not have one. Not helpful... Help an old guy out. It's age discrimination I tell ya! Does anyone know a good lawyer in Louisiana? Never mind good and lawyer are mutually exclusive... The Weiss was a nice beer. Strong notes of banana and a little bready as well. Just a good tasty beer, that fit with the style. Easy drinking and friendly. I'm not sure why I describe it as "friendly" but the word came to mind. The IPA on tap, wait...only one IPA on tap? That's weird after going to so many breweries that seem to think IPA is the only style that exists. Here's a little public service announcement to all the breweries out there: IPA's are great, but there are so many other beer styles that are great. Show your skill instead of trying to just bury everything under a complete avalanche of hops. I digress. This was a good IPA, a bit mild on the hops maybe but it had good aroma and excellent flavor. Smooth and easy. The red ale was good, but I would have liked a little more malty flavor out of it. It was a really good beer, no doubt about it. I could have drank two, three or ten... The oatmeal porter was tasty but did not have a lot of the body and mouth feel I have come to expect from an oatmeal beer. The toasted marshmallow porter is apparently one of their big sellers. Well...I can see why. They say it will "remind you of great times with graham crackers and campfires." I don't know about graham crackers and campfires but it definitely did give a nice marshmallow aroma and flavor. This is a bit of a sweet beer as you would expect but it is very drinkable. I decided I needed a bite to eat and people were raving about their beer battered onion rings so I decided to try those. Since I had already drank my five tasters I now needed to select at least a couple more. I'm glad I did... The strawberry..this is a really good fruit beer. Nice strawberry aroma and flavor. Not tart nor overly sweet. Really well balanced and enjoyable. Damn it! Where are those onion rings? Some lady just had her order of onion rings delivered next to me at the bar and I am seriously considering yelling "What's that?" while pointing towards a corner of the bar and then stealing a couple of her onion rings. They look and smell great. She looks like she might be meaner than I am so I'm going to leave her onion rings alone. The English brown ale...wait, she just delivered my onion rings. OMG. These things are freaking awesome...beer battered with a remoulade dip. Whatever you are doing stop it and come eat onion rings! Where was I? Oh yeah, brown ale...this is a very good brown ale. Obvious caramel and very tasty. And more importantly it compliments the onion rings oh so well. The pumpkin pie porter, my last beer because I have onion rings to eat. The aroma was definitely pumpkin pie and the flavor, also pumpkin pie. I love pumpkin pie but pumpkin pie beer...not so much. This was not bad at all. In fact it was quite good but I usually don't drink beers like this just out of personal preference. The pumpkin pie flavor in this case was just a little too much for me. I have a delicate palate. I even had my pinky finger extended while trying all these beers. I even took a picture to prove it though it was really uncomfortable... If you are in Houma, you should be in Spigots. No excuses. Just go have a beer and some onion rings. Don't think about it. Just do it! We went here while visiting my family in Houma. It was a cute place, with nice wood decor and a rustic feel. You could see the big beer tanks behind a glass. The menu was huge but we all managed to order. The server came up right away and seemed friendly. My brother enjoyed a flight of beer while waiting for our food. He was happy with all his choices. There was only a couple other tables but our food took quite awhile. Thankfully it was tasty. My sister's flatbread pizza was a bit on the spicy side but everything else was delicious. read more

I went to spigots today and it had hair in my dip. I told the girl that they had hair in my dip and she said oh no let me go take it to the back and fix it. The manager came out the back with the dip in his hand that had the hair in it, and he insinuated that I put the hair in my dip And said he can give it to me half off, but I never ever said that I wanted the dip discounted. Mind you I have very curly hair so I couldn't have put a very long strand of straight black hair in my food. I know things happen and I wasn't blaming anyone bc it was a mistake. I told him I don't have an issue with the dip. I told him the issue was I didn't want dip with hair. He was very condescending Towards me, and my family. Saul Lecompt was very distasteful as a manager. He even told me and my family we can leave bc I told him that he can take it back bc I don't want it anymore and I told him he can go because he was being very rude to me and my family, then he tells me and my family y'all can go too. Very rude. I never raised my voice at him as much as I wanted to. My mother was there and was very embarrassed in from of the guest there. For him to bring the dip back to the table and say that I put the hair in there is nothing a manager should have done. I had one bit of the dip when I noticed the hair in the dip after I stirred it up. I will never rerun back to that place. And to think my family loved the food there. We even had bday parties there multiple time and to be treated like that by management was horrible. He kept saying his team did not put the hair in there like I was trying to blame someone for trying to put the hair in my food. He kept over talking me. Barely let me get a word in unless he was over talking me and not wanting to even hear me out. I WILL NEVER RETURN BACK THERE. I'm just glad it was us ladies there and not my husband and brothers. We were greeted at the door and seated with no problems. Our waiter was quick to the table but hovered over us a little too close, while we looked over the menu. My husband ordered a beer and it took forever. The bar girl was on the phone and talking to customers at the bar. Our waiter checked on it at least 2 times before she figured out that he was waiting for something. This was right at opening, which is only lunch. Having one bar girl for the whole bar (customers eating and drinking) and the whole restaurant, was not cool. This is a brew-pub, there is a lot of customers coming for beer. On time to the table beer. We ordered onion rings, which came with a remoulade sauce. I asked for a side of ranch as well. I am not one for spice. I was pleasantly surprised, it was wonderful. We ordered our lunch items; my husband burger - he was upset there was not pepper jack cheese on the menu but got over it pretty fast when he has it 1st bite. It was excellent! I ordered the grilled cheese off of the children's menu, I have recently had surgery and not up for a full entree'. There were no problems with that, which was nice. Crispy edges, tender inside, yummo! Food was fresh and cane out quick. Our waiter came and checked on us several times. Refilling me water and Coke glasses. We asked for boxes and packed our leftovers. The waiter checked a few more time but never offered to take our dishes. Our check was brought back to sign the cc slip and the dishes still sat. I had to reach across the table and grab my husband's plate, place it on top of mine, so he could sigh the receipt. We were offered the dessert menu, but by that time I was annoyed about the dishes. I had the great pleasure of eating at Spigots for the first time today (Wed., 12/29/21) with my daughters. The food and the service were fantastic. Beautiful place. We had a pretzel appetizer. It came with 3 different dips. I had the pan fried fish with crab sauce and almonds, added a crab cake, sweet potato fries, and macaroni and cheese. I also had a great glass of White Zinfandel wine. I was eyeing the Toasted Marshmallow craft beer. My daughter told me I could ask for a sample. It was very good. I'll be sure and get the beer next time I visit. One daughter had the grilled chicken sandwich and my other daughter had a shrimp pasta dish. We had a wonderful time. read more

It's a nice cozy place. Menu is pretty self explanatory. They only have their local draft brewery beers. They aren't bad! As of what I seen they were all on draft. Food was pretty good. Burgers were nice in size. I had the seafood pasta, which was a good portion. I had to add salt and pepper. I would probably try something else next time. It wasn't the best but not too bad. I got as an appetizer the stuffed mushrooms. Which I actually thought they were a little pricey for three medium sized one stuffed wth sausage.
