Alas they have announced the construction of a brand-new complex that I am sure will have a marvelous taproom. With all that being said, it doesn't matter about Parish's taproom. Their beer is so good I would drink it out of an oil pan while sitting in a port-o-potty. I have been to 420 breweries across the country including most of the ones on all the best breweries in the country list and Parish has my favorite beer, Ghost in the Machine. Ghost and all its variations and collaborations cannot be beat for hopheads like me. Parish could only make Ghost, and it would still be a 5-star brewery but there is so much more. Their limited-edition dessert stouts are fantastic, Canebrake is the perfect "everyday drinker", and their other hazies like Bloom and Atticus are phenomenal.

It sits in a warehouse area, the brewing operation is right there in the back, and the whole place feels like the real deal. The beers are great, the service is friendly, and the vibe is super laid back. We stopped by on a random Saturday and they had a food vendor set up along with a pretty solid musician playing. It was warm, because Louisiana, but the big industrial fans kept things comfortable for the most part. This is not the place to dress up. Wear something comfortable, grab a few beers, hang out, listen to some music, and enjoy a brewery that actually feels like a brewery. Also, if you are riding the Tammany Trace, they are not that far away. So ride your bike over, stop in, and replenish those electrolytes with an IPA or two. That is how electrolytes work, right? Agile usually has 15 or so different beers or seltzers on tap. What I like about Agile is they don't just have 12 different IPA's (although I am a huge IPA guy) a stout and a blonde. They have all kinds of styles which is a good change of pace. Upon my last visit I had a Stout, An American Wheat, an IPA and a Krystalweisse (German light beer) in my flight. All were really good but the Krystalweisse was surprisingly good in that it was both flavorful and still light.
