I have been to Agile Brewing several times and it may be my favorite brewery in Baton Rouge. I know it has my favorite brewery snack. The cheese curds and craklins. Whoever put these two items together is a genius! The chewy, meaty, crunchiness of the cracklins along with the gooey, saltiness of the cheese curds is the perfect combo. It's like Peanut butter and Jelly! Peas and Carrots! Beavis and Butthead! Ok I may have went too far but they are great. The beer is good too. Agile usually has 15 or so different beers or seltzers on tap. What I like about Agile is they don't just have 12 different IPA's (although I am a huge IPA guy) a stout and a blonde. They have all kinds of styles which is a good change of pace. Upon my last visit I had a Stout, An American Wheat, an IPA and a Krystalweisse (German light beer) in my flight. All were really good but the Krystalweisse was surprisingly good in that it was both flavorful and still light. Another plus for Agile is they are in an industrial park that includes 2 distilleries and another brewery. So, get you some curds and cracklins then get shmangled. Just call an Uber. read more

I discovered Agile Brewing when a friend invited me to their Wednesday Bingo Night. Our game host, Doddy, was SO fun! I loved the shoutout to the regulars as if they were family. Bingo is free for paying customers, and I got their #5 brew - Lemon Buffer, a lemon vanilla sour - and the Locked and Loaded Taters. The beer queso on the tater tots was a nice touch! I was indoors for Bingo but their outdoor space looked nice with picnic tables and string lights lit up at night. read more

We had a nice visit to Agile. They have a small parking lot and were not crowded the day we were there. I tasted a few of the beers but ended up choosing the Code Lime which was a seltzer. It was a beautiful day and the seltzer was a perfect choice for me. I liked the setting and found the staff to be helpful and friendly. read more

Nothing I tried beer wise was good and the food was just edible. Tried chicken sliders, buffalo, pepper jelly, and some other one. The meat is bland and small, the sauce didn't help it much at all. The only one with somewhat flavor was the buffalo cause it was drenched in that and ranch but at least it gave that bland meat a taste. The service is wonderful and the place is nice with a lot of selection but trying 4 beers to no satisfaction and food being eh doesn't give me much hope for maybe my tastes. read more

This rating is based on my first visit and considers the environment, staff, food, and (of course) beer. I really, really want to give Agile Brewing 5 stars, but there were just a few issues I had with my first visit. This place is CUTE! When you approach the location it feels like you're heading to abandoned warehouses, but honestly, that's the vibe of any good microbrewery! This was a check-plus in my book! The place itself is small, yet airy with a giant screen for people to watch that day's LSU game (at least it was for me) while seated at one of the many tables. I believe there were also 2 TVs over at the bar area if you're into that. The staff were absolutely amazing and kind, even though I clearly was a total novice at ordering my beer flight (your choice of 4 5oz. pours). Our bartender also gave my hubby the thumbs up on his food choice. All around - super nice people. The food is where I had my issue. I ordered pretzel bytes (totally delicious) and a chicken bacon ranch wrap; my hubby ordered an Oktoberfest special (a brat burger, which he loved). Each food item came out in its own container. My wrap looked like someone had dropped the container; it was a hot mess with the contents not totally inside the wrap. This probably could have been avoided with the careful placement of toothpicks to hold everything together. The chicken was also super dry and the wrap didn't have enough sauce to balance that out. I did eat everything because I was hungry, but I wouldn't order this item again unless it goes through a bit of an update. The beer is amazing and there are so many different things to choose from, which I always appreciate. You can enjoy IPAs, hard seltzer, browns, stouts, sours, you name it! And from what I tried, they were all great! I somehow ended up only ordering the fruity (::Ahem:: girly) options: Lemon Buffer (my favorite - reminiscent of the old Lemonheads candies), Code Lime (literally a seltzer for margarita lovers), Witty Core (solid sour - I picked watermelon as my flavor), and Sign In Seltzer (disappointingly not as fizzy as I wanted and I made the mistake of the mojito flavor - I would not recommend). The prices are also very reasonable. So there you have it! I would definitely go back! read more

Tucked away in a little industrial area off Airline Hwy, this brewery has made a huge impact on the BR beer scene. They have an almost overwhelming menu, so many to choose from with lots of seasonal offerings. If you're not sure what you want, just ask the staff - they are more than happy to help. While the space is not overwhelming in size, it's got plenty of seating room at tables and the bar. There's food available (even after the recent fire mishap of the food truck). Trivia on Thursday nights to keep your mind sharp, and there are drink specials on certain nights. I'll be heading back to join friends there again soon! read more

I love love love this place! The food is top notch and real quality! The blue cheese bacon burger is my go to. There are also 20 different beers on tap! Insane! From lighter lagers, attainable ambers, to yeasty Belgians, to darker browns and stouts, all the way to the various IPAs from coast to coast, and their trendy sours and seltzers, you can find any style that suits your tastes! Also, if you're overwhelmed with the selection, there are 20-sided dice at the bar to let random selection occur for you! Staff is friendly and they're also there to help you decide, being knowledgeable about the brews. But don't forget the food truck outside! BREW BYTES BISTRO has excellent American pub food and burgers for you to choose from! We have been a few times and we absolutely love it here. The beer selection has a great variety so everybody can find what they want....or you can roll the dice to determine. Tonight, we had poutine and the chicken club. The poutine was huge!!! Fresh fried curds with rich brown gravy! It would feed a family of four, but of course we also got the club. The chicken was perfectly fried and not overly battered. Homemade ranch! Yes please!!! We will discuss the beers next time, because they are all great! We got a beer flight. Margarita seltzer, blueberry buffer, abbey window and backspace blond. My fav was the margarita and hubbys favorite was the backspace blond. Also there is food available to order here at the brewery. I got the Birria Tacos super good. Hubby got the Memphis hot chicken and he loved it. read more

Went here for the second time, this time ordering food as well. Really enjoyed it. The Dual Core IPA was very good. Bartenders were friendly and attentive. For food I had the primo burger with seasoned fries. Honestly one of the better burgers in town. Fried Oreos were great to finish off with. We love local breweries and visit them every chance we get in every city we're in. We love to try new beer and hear the staffs thoughts about the beers and their stories. But this place was not a good spot for that at all. Completely empty room other than the staff, and the employees were way more interested in talking to each other than us and sometimes walked off while we were still trying to order things. Some of the beer from the tap was warm. The food was mediocre at best. Mine was cold but my daughters burger was burnt. How do you mess up a hamburger?! The bartender also somehow sprayed my wife with beer from one of the taps. They do have solid beer though. I'll 100% order their IPA next time I see it at a restaurant or bar. But this is not a hangout spot. Unless you work there evidently. read more
