Pretty cool little brewery. This is our third time coming here, and we haven't had a beer we didn't like yet. The place has a relaxed vibe, friendly staff, and a solid lineup of beers that are clearly brewed with care. This time I had the $10,000 Paper Weight -- really good, smooth, and well-balanced. We closed things out with the Faux Grunge, which didn't disappoint either. Every visit just reinforces why we keep coming back. If you're into craft beer and want a laid-back spot with consistently great brews, Cypress Coast is worth the stop. read more

Great micro brewery that's willing to be adventurous in their beer and make it right. The orange creamsicle and the quad are my go to for this rotation. But there are some options for those just wanting to enjoy the atmosphere at the brewery and for those who prefer a cider or seltzer. I was there on a Tuesday evening, so there was not much going on, but it seems like they have weekly events on the calendar along with dates of new releases. Our most conveniently located and in our top 2 favorite breweries in BR. Justin and Caleb do a wonderful job with the beer, bring in great food trucks, and have created a place in Mid City you want to chill for a while with your dog and your humans with a beverage and maybe some pretzels and UNO games. Oh! And now you can walk across the parking lot and get Counterspace cookies too! Can't lose. They aren't a bar so they do close a little on the early side, but you can leave here then go to Pelican to Mars or Radio Bar if you want to stay up all night and not go to bed at a REASONABLE HOUR, youthful reader. read more

Cypress Coast is a great addition to BR. Located on Govt. St, it is close to many other restaurants, shops and businesses. The taproom is a decent size, with plenty of seating. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with a large garage door that opens up to outside. They have plenty of board games and other games to play while enjoying a brew. The beer was tasty as well. I had one of the IPAs, and it was good. What you would expect from a craft brewery. I am excited to return and try some of their other beers, which apparently rotate often. I hope they do well and would love to see more craft breweries like this one open up around BR! (PS: their name and branding is very well done). read more

Fun brewery! I was visiting Baton Rouge for over two weeks, and this is my son's favorite local brewery. We stopped by often, and I got to join in two Tuesday evenings of bingo and two Thursday evenings of trivia. I met some of the nicest people, and felt so welcomed. The bartenders and brewmaster are great people! The brewery is organized and clean, and they have food trucks stop by at suppertime with delectable options. The best part - my son talked to the brewmaster and told him I drink light alcohol beer so I tend to avoid craft beer. He brewed me a special beer - Hit Leicht And Subscribe! It only has 3.8% alcohol and is delicious. A great beer to sip on throughout the evening. Thanks for being part of my trip to visit my son! read more

The long awaited Cypress Coast Brewing Co finally pulled its taps during the pandemic in September 2020. Located in Mid City next to Fleur de Lis and behind what will be the new location of Government Taco, this building of liquid deliciousness awaits! First things first, don't park in the Fleur de Lis lot. For some reason, the 100 car lot that might only have 20 cars at its peak is off limits. (they don't have signs up saying this yet so it's easy to miss that, but they will walk over to engage with customers and threaten to tow). On to Cypress Coast.... the staff and owners are super friendly and eager to see you. They have a really cute interior that yields a little seating, signage, and they have a patio with some tables and the start of a covered area. It's inviting and comfortable. The beer... well... it's so good and delicious. I enjoyed the Mid City Blonde off the bat, and it was refreshing and crisp. Breaking Glasses also filled my glass twice that evening. So Baton Rouge has added another gem to its brewery scene, and I'm excited to see what else it will add to Mid City. Cheers, now go grab some beers, y'all! read more

Great place, my husband and I brought our dog to work here for a day. The beer was great and everyone was very friendly!

So pulled in right before closing time on a Thursday but the staff couldn't have been anymore friendly. Very laidback local atmosphere with board games. Also dog friendly. Wonderful beer selection on tap. Just an all around nice place to enjoy a drink solo or with a group of friends. read more

I stopped here with two of my friends on our roadtrip back to Texas and while the ambiance and beers are quite nice the man who served us was very unfriendly. Looked extremely disappointed that we walked in, maybe we screamed tourists and he doesn't like that haha. I gave him my card to start a tab and he threw it back to me instead of handing it over or sliding it over. Very weird and uncomfortable! We chose to stop there because they had good reviews maybe he was just having a bad day. read more

So I've visited a number of times during the COVID lockdowns and have gotten to sit inside only once--since restrictions resumed on bars, but whatever... the beer is fabulous. I've had various brews of all sorts and the ones that are simply knock out are the stouts/porters and the IPAs. They're a young brewery and do a lot of experimentation still (which I love) and they come up with good solid beers that aren't really gimmicky. The beers are well within what you should expect for their label, but deliver as promised in their descriptions. I enjoy talking with the brewers and try to make it over somewhat regularly. read more

My fiancé and I live right off government and recently went to this new brewery. We both enjoy a good beer. We are always looking to try new things but are very far from masters of taste. I got The Who Love Orange Soda sour and it was delicious! My fiancé got the Smashing Melons IPA, which was also flavorful and easy to drink! The staff was really great and easy to work with. They answered our questions and were very accommodating! Due to COVID restrictions we sat outside at patio tables and there were heaters to keep warm. There were multiple other groups of people, all of which seemed to be enjoying themselves! We have been talking about this beer all week and are planning to go again this weekend to try more! read more

We came here for the first time today. We did 2 flights and tried 8 out of the 10 beers of their own on tap. We tried three sours. Pumpkin, fruit and pineapple were own tap and we really liked the pineapple a bunch! The saison was very good as was the alt. Of the IPAs all were tasty and balanced. Juice box hazy had notes of citrus and tropical fruit very good. Done with phrasing is a very balanced and flavorful American IPA. Consequence of Actions is a New England IPA awesome hop flavors backed with malt. They make very good beer here! Would suggest highly! read more
