Nice building, good service, good food! I came in town for a family gathering and caught up with my dad for lunch. He chose BJ's. The building is nice, there's plenty of parking in a huge lot, and you get sat pretty quickly. There's PLENTY of seating. I got the caesar salad with grilled shrimp, and it was pretty good. A tad salty, but still good and did the job. Simply caesar salad. It was pretty quiet, so I am not sure if the ambiance is more social at night. I'm assuming it is, with all the TVs. Probably a hub for all the major game viewings!!! Server was super attentive and made sure drinks were refilled consistently without making us feel rushed or uncomfortable. Top-notch customer service and decent food for a chain restaurant, my first time at BJ's was one for the books. We ordered the mac-and-cheese balls, fish and chips, and prime rib hoagie and the food quality blew us away--from the crispiness of the beer-battered fish to the juicy and tender beef. My favorite bite of the day was definitely the prime rib sandwich soaked in that delicious au jus sauce, although the sauce could have been thicker and a bit more flavorful. But it goes without saying that the star of the show was their world famous chocolate chip pizookie--a large, soft, ooey-gooey amalgamation topped with two thick scoops of vanilla bean ice cream. Jacob F., our waiter, was absolutely phenomenal. He managed our group of over 15 people perfectly. He was friendly, made sure we had everything we needed, and is incredibly funny. We didn't want the lucky ducky cocktail, just the tub it went it, and he DELIVERED. Among so many other memorable moments were chair scoots, "shake your dreads," and "it's an issue not an iss-me." A group of 4 of us tipped $140. It was well deserved. We're definitely requesting him as our waiter when we come back. read more

do not go to the Lafayette, LA location! We were a party of 12 on a Saturday night and when we arrived, the floor all the way to our table was littered with salad. We had to get someone to wipe off the chairs before we could even sit down because there was coke spilled all over the chair and floor under the table. 3 of the people in our party ended up getting sick. One person sent their salad back because the tuna on it was grey! Our server was great but overall experience was terrible! read more

I had a pretty disappointing experience at BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse. Everyone at my table got their food except me, and I was told mine would be out any second. After another five minutes, the waiter came back to say they had made the wrong sandwich and needed to remake it. When the remake finally arrived, the chicken sandwich came with lettuce and tomato even though I clearly asked for neither. It also had no avocado, which I did ask for. The manager came over, and I explained the issue. That's when I was told they were out of avocado--something no one mentioned when I ordered. At that point, I was too frustrated to reorder anything. They offered a free pizookie, which we accepted, and it was just okay. But when the check came, the "free" pizookie was actually on the bill. The server did remove it when we pointed it out, but with everything stacked together, the whole visit was frustrating from start to finish. Overall, this experience really missed the mark read more

The waitress was friendly. The food took foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr to come out. More than 45 minutes, NO EXAGGERATION! The waitress said they have one cook. The bacon cheeseburger was overcooked. The prime rib sandwich was dry, and the dip was overly salty- but I like salt. The guacamole burger was good and cooked right (medium rare). The free Pizookie was delicious. So i check in at curbside & know my order my order is ready because I got a text 12 minutes before I arrived to the restaurant. I always order all my burgers/steaks medium rare and I've never received a burger so rare. It wasn't even edible. The service was slow and preoccupied visiting with other servers. Very hit or miss food wise but the location is so much fun and loud-perfect for dinner with a group. It's a brewery too, so if beer is your thing the list will have you overwhelmed...no really. One entire menu is decided to beer and it's as thick as a small town's phone book. In addition, there is a wall painted with chalkboard paint and all the beer specials are listed there...floor to ceiling choices. The first time I came here I had a chicken breast with a tomato sauce and sun dried tomato garnish, can't remember the name of it and sadly it's no longer on the menu. Oh my goodness, ya'll. This was the best chicken dish I've ever had in a restaurant. It was tender and perfectly cooked. I have no idea why they took if off the menu but PLEASE BRING IT BACK! On my second visit I chose the Parmesan Crusted Chicken which let me down. I found it to be dry and wasn't cheesy enough. It came with mashed potatoes and broccoli, which also were just ok. I do want to mention that the manager was walking around with samples of pizza and their pizza is out of this world! The sauce is perfect and the crust was nice and soft. BJ's Restaurant should be ashamed of themselves with this terrible, dry, "pepperoni extreme" pizza. Very little sauce, cheese or pepperoni. And, it is burnt!! Such a great place for couples! I came here after a date night and was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance with the low lighting. This place is also good for late night eating since it does not close till after midnight. The staff were friendly and got our orders in right away. I ordered the deep dish baked zita which was by far the most amazing tasting pasta I ever had in my life!! It was so cheesy and covered in marinara sauce. Even the garlic knot that was served with it was delicious. My date convinced me to try the monkey bread pazookie dessert even though I was full. As soon as I took one bite of it, I could not stop. The warm ooey goey ness of the cinnamon bread with the caramel drizzed ice cream was the perfect ending to an awesome meal. I will be back!! read more

BJ's is one of the restaurants where the menu is so darn expansive you never know what to order. It does seem like their menu is changing every so often as well. Frequenting this location and the one in Baton Rouge, the food quality is the same. The service in Lafayette seems to be a bit better, though. If you are a soda drinker, they DO NOT have coke products. I ALWAYS start off with the ahi poke appetizer. My oh my is it delicious. Before poke blew up, i always trusted bj's to have my tuna appetizer. It's served with wonton chips. Just scoop some tuna, put it on a chip, and voila, yummmm. Feel free to ask for extra wontons, they'll make it. BBQ chicken pizza flatbread is also my must have. It's just so delicious. My dynamite. The other pizzas are good as well. I've tried a few other dishes as well and none disappointed. Sometimes I'll do the deep dish, but the flatbread is more addicting. No matter what you order, it's a solid choice for a good wholehearted meal. Some dishes aren't cheap - but the portion size makes up for it. I almost never finish an entree here. Word of advice - if you eat her often, download the app. There's a rewards program for money off your future meals after building up points! There's also a tab for "deals and news". Our visit we managed to use a $10 off $40 coupon. On food! At a restaurant! That wasn't on Groupon or at risk of shutting down lol. I think that's pretty cool. read more
