As a nod to the local food scene, we "started" with their version of a garbage plate. One dog and one burger. Was very good. Shared with my son as an appetizer. Was more fun than anything else. But it was tasty, not greasy for what it is. My son then ordered a pastrami Ruben. The portions are excellent. The marble rye and the fries clinically perfect. The pastrami was mid-level deli wog. Kind of a disappointment. I had a turkey club. The best I've had outside of NJ. Clearly house roasted turkey. Perfect toast to meat and veg ratio. Fresh. Delicious. My only knock is YOU DON'T put cheese on a club!!! I'll ask for no cheese next time. The next two points are really how I judge a diner... pickles and coleslaw. Pickles were good. But just good. The Cole slaw was very good. I was happy. Service exceeded my expectations. Really fantastic. Prices very reasonable. Excellent portions. Simply cannot wait to go again and try a burger. The owners were there helping customers and staff which is really nice to see. I'm GF and they were very accommodating with a good selection of GF and V options on the menu. Both medium but one came out med. well and the other well. Both of them had "medium" markers in them which clearly was not the case any server should have noticed. The worse problem was the extremely loud female who couldn't stop screaming F bombs from the kitchen. It sounded like she was putting on a raunchy inner city comedy show . I was there with my daughter and was mortified. Very disappointed! Also should mention freezing the whole time in the back room.
