I came here with my husband and my mom, and it made for an excellent Saturday morning! There were quite a few people in the waiting area when we arrived, but they made it through the queue pretty quickly and we were seated within a few minutes. I ordered the potato pancakes, my husband got the blueberry pancakes, and my mom got the lighter portion of the chicken-fried steak. We were all very pleased with the food and the portions were large! I thought the chicken-fried steak was the winner, lightly breaded and crispy. Although it took a little longer to receive our food than expected, everything else went quickly and the service was good. Came in for the first time and I was absolutely caught by surprise of how well and welcoming the staff is, Nina was our server and she was absolutely amazing. One of the best places for breakfast my husband have I have been to! We are visiting from out of state so this was just an accidental find. Their pomegranate mimosa was delicious! I had the Denver Omlette and it was perfectly made; right about of filling, cheese, fluffiness. My husband had the country fried steak bowl and it was also made perfectly. Right amount of ingredients and nicely served. We were so impressed that we forgot to take pictures! To make it even better, our server Enrique was awesome. Despite a full room of customers in the dining room, he greeted us right away. Checked on us the perfect amount of times and was not overbearing. My only complaint is that they close earlier now. We loved to go here in the evening for breakfast! So good! Certainly understand though, smart move on their part. Elmers is typically a fantastic restaurant to eat and relax at. At this location, recently, the menu shrunk by about 45% while prices increased an average of 11%. Looks like the new management is shifting it from family diner to brunch express. Service and customer satisfaction remains faithful and good, however. read more

Our time was going great until my boyfriend took a bite of his food and chopped down a piece of GLASS!!! We told our waiter Cole, and he said "oh sorry no one should find glass in their food I'll go tell the manger." And walked away thinking the manger will then come talk to us but nope that never happened. We had to pay for the food and didn't even talk to the manger. Husband and I came here on Friday morning while waiting for the Costco down the street to open. I've been to the Elmer's way over in Hillsboro too and in both locations service is consistently attentive and friendly. Love that they are quick with the coffee/beverage refills. Large selection of breakfast items (I haven't actually been to an Elmer's for anything besides the first meal, so no comment on lunch/dinner offerings). They've got your sweet and savory options covered, as well as light portions of certain menu items (like their benedicts) if you just don't have the room for a big meal. Their biscuits are great but I'm always underwhelmed by their hashbrowns (personally, I prefer them more well-done). But anyway, haven't ever left unsatisfied. read more

Salads don't get bigger than this! They are huge! We had the Cobb salad and it was a mountain of food. They do offer a smaller portion and that is plenty. The chicken salad has crispy pieces of breaded white meat chicken. It was delicious. They only offer a few wines but the elite Zinfandel was very good. Service was excellent! Today we came to Elmer's with the family for breakfast we waited 38 min for our food, what the heck there were some guest that came in after we did and they got their food. Today's service was very very poor I was not happy neither was the family. We finally got our order but they came in at separate times 3 of us got their meals and everyone else waited another 3 min. Before it came out mine never came out because the waiter said she didn't like the way my food looked like so I waited even longer. My food finally came out I order the chicken fried steak and egg my chicken was so salty my wife tried it my brother-in-law tried it and it was salty I had to have them take it back and get something else. By this time I have already downed 2 cups of coffee and my water oh yes my coffee it was empty I had to wait and Flagg another waiter down to bring me my second cup of coffee. We used to love this place. Since it's so close by in Beaverton than other places in downtown. And the food is good. But for the past 3-4 visits we have had hard boiled yolks on our eggs Benedict. Once it was okay. Twice maybe bad luck. But it's been quite a few times that it cannot be ignored by us anymore. We had two Benedict's on the table. And all the 4 yolks on the table were hard. And this after a 30 min wait for the table and 20 min wait for the food. Very disappointing. We mentioned this to our server and she did offer to send it back and get the dish remade. But we didn't have the time to wait for another 30 min and were hungry. I hope management sees this and takes some action. We don't find it value for money if we want to eat Benedict's and they are super hard. read more

I ordered the Farmer's Omelette and my boyfriend ordered the Mango Turkey wrap with refillable fries. It was solid food. My omelette was made with three eggs, and it was hearty -- filled with peppers, ham, and sausage...all topped with country gravy. The biscuit was pretty good too. The hashbrowns were your typical diner variety, but I enjoyed them (though I wish they had been more crispy). The turkey wrap was surprisingly better than expected; but order your refill of fries early, because they take forever to come out. For a Dennys style place. Definitely a 5 star. Service was prompt, place was clean and my Crab blt salad was fresh and crisp. Cup of Ivar's clam chowder was hot with a small piece of sand in it so you know it was the real thing. I have been before for breakfast and they also have great omelettes. Truly excellent breakfast! Hello Tillamook potato cakes. Who's your buddy? I am! I'm an Eggs Benedict fanatic and Elmer's does it Oh So right. I didn't give it a five because the wait was more than it should have been and the service was a bit disorganized and chaotic. But when everything was clicking, it was perfect. Wow. This place lists the farm they bought local ingredients from on menu. Nice! I'd never heard of a Dutch Baby, but, man, I'll never forget it now. How delicious! Service was super friendly and the place was quaint and cozy. Highly recommend stopping here for breakfast. IMHO, everyone should know about a dutch baby.. get in there and try it! read more

The staff is exceptionally polite & attentive. I was impressed that, even with the Mother's Day rush, we only waited 15 minutes to be seated and we were not hurried through deciding on our meal or eating it. I had the hazelnut pancakes with scrambled eggs & bacon. The eggs & bacon were cooked to PERFECTION and I had to force myself not to eat all of the pancakes and make myself sick. The portion size was huge for the cost and there was more than enough. My husband had the avocado Benedict and it was yummy! The hollaindaise was a little on the bland/butter side but for a restaurant, it was above average. The potatoes that came as a side were delicious as well and better than I expected from a chain restaurant. We got the french toast sticks for our son and these were probably the least favorite item we ordered: I did not expect them to be quite so crispy fried but my son enjoyed them and the caramel sauce that they came with was the perfect dipper for my pancakes ;) My family misses our breakfast places back on the East Coast, but I'm sure that we could make this a regular place to compensate.
