One word: OUTSTANDING! We enjoyed the brunch prix fix menu; 1. Bloody Mary, grilled sticky (cinnamon roll with bacon/butter sauce), and smoked lamb huevos ranchero with goat cheese and salsa verde. 2. Bloody Mary, pastrami hash with poached farm egg, eggs Benedict with prosciutto copa and house made English muffin. Quite possibly the best eggs Benedict I've ever had! The muffin was delicious and the egg was perfectly poached: the soft, creamy yolk stayed completely intact after being pierced. The arugula/pink grapefruit salad was the perfect foil for the richly decadent hollandaise and prosciutto. The service was excellent; knowledgeable and readily available but not over-bearing. BRAVO, ELEVEN! read more

Consistently great. Been here many times, and is our go-to for special occasions. The Negative Nancy in me always thinks somehow there'll be a misstep, but it never happens. Our table had: oysters, cavatelli, sashimi, beef tenderloin, seafood sampler, chefs tasting, and salad. Even the salad was memorable. Service terrific. New chef well on his way. read more

Classy, in- so- much as the Big Burrito Group's version of. I started a sceptic but the place really grew on me, like a slow burn. I get it. After rolling my eyes internally at the deliberately pretentious menu and overpriced wine list (so i thought at the time. Again, slow burn), I waited, looked around a bit.... hmmmm. My beef tenderloin dish came and it was FANTASTIC. Worth EVERY penny. The best part? It was on- the- house! Big Burrito sends you a complimentary entree on your birthday. So.... sign up, wait for your bday, put on your big girl boots and head to Eleven. read more

I can't stop thinking about the crab cake. Amazing service and delicious food and drinks. Favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh.

Service is excellent and the food is delicious! Great bar scene too. Would definitely say that you might spend a little more than other places in the city but I believe you get more with this as well. Amazing wine list to add to the fun! read more

Was only there once and it was a delightful experience. Came with a gift card, and my fiancé was delighted that they had virgin cocktails available. If the one carrying the baby inside is pleased, score. I had a delicious pork chop, with grits and I believe beets as well. Heirloom tomato salad was spectacular minus the minuscule piece of burrata that was listed as a focal point of the salad... More cheese! But wonderful evening, will return hopefully. read more

I am giving three stars solely based on delicious food. The rest of the experience was a head scratcher. To say the staff is restrained is a major understatement. They seemed deeply unhappy. No smiles. Not friendly. When a large party is dining you expect a bit of a loss of privacy. But the constant barrage of water pouring was intrusive and obnoxious. We could never relax. Between us, we have dined at some amazing fine dining establishments in major cities around the world. Eleven needs to get over itself. There were diners in shorts and t-shirts. Lastly, did you charge us an automatic gratuity and then we tipped on top of it? It would have been nice if that was mentioned. If not, you need to perhaps revisit your pricing. All in all, delicious food served by an unfriendly staff in an uncomfortable environment. read more

We held our rehearsal dinner at eleven. While the ambiance and food was good, our service was horrible. We booked the rehearsal precovid, and kept the reservations. We checked back in about a month out to confirm they could still accept a large party, and they confirmed. Our guests sat there for over an 1 hr and 15 minutes before the first course even arrived (which was only 1 crab cake and 1 miniature pierogi so we aren't sure what the holdup was). We had children and adults who ordered drinks that were never served to them. Everyone was extremely antsy by the time the food had arrived. The time between each course was also long. We also had half of our guests not even receive the salad. As the bride to be, I ended up leaving before the final course was served because the entire process took over 3 hours and I needed to get back to my hotel and get to sleep. We tried giving them wiggle room due to covid, but it was honestly just poor planning on their part. They knew a large party would be arriving at 7pm and how many guests we had. The first course wasn't received by everyone until 8:35. The final course wasn't received until 10:20. It was honestly embarrassing for us because of how many of our guests complained to us. Definitely not worth the money that we paid. read more

My wife and I were in Pittsburgh during October '18 for a meeting. We ate twice at Eleven, returning b/c we enjoyed it so much. The food is superb--excellent ingredients, imaginatively prepared and beautifully presented. The tasting menu was especially nice, but plenty to share (we over-ordered the first time). Very convenient to hotels near convention center. Highly recommended. Wonderful, personable service as well. read more

Seriously 0 stars. This was the worst experience and meal I have ever had in my life. In fact it was so bad that I decided to sign up for Yelp just to let you know that you should not waste your time much less money here! read more

Loved it! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because we only went for happy hour! We had great soft pretzels and raw oysters with yummy martinis. Would highly recommend a visit to Eleven. read more

Went to 11 for the first time on a date, had no idea where I was going, you should prob dress up abit for this place, the wait staff is extremely knowledgable about everything from the menu to the wine, the food was DELISH, I got the laMB, yummmmmmmm, MY DATE GOT THE SALMON, EVERYTHING WAS BEAUTIFUKLY PREPARED AND TASTED AS GOOD AS IT LOOKED! read more

I went there using the Big Burrito Birthday deal. I've been there before I became veg, and I decided to go because I wanted to try the vegetarian tasting menu. We went there on Sunday after the Pens lost. It was practically dead...maybe a little too dead. We got drinks at the bar. I had the mule...it was awesome. Very good. Talking with the bartender I mentioned that I liked Cucumber drinks, and during dinner he brought up a free cucumber Gin drink. How awesome is that.. We went up to our table. I got the vegetarian tasting menu w/ the wine, and the boyfriend got the meat one. He really liked his I think. Here's my opinion on what they served; 1st course; Asparagaus Salad. Good. I've never eaten asparagus raw but all the flavors were really fresh. 2nd Course; Fried egg w/ greens. AWESOME! Yum...don't know how they cooked that egg but it was perfect. 3rd Course: Pasta w/ artichokes, tomatoes, and olives. This was only part of the meal that I wasn't that impressed with. It tasted very fresh and was good, but I felt like I oould have made it at home fairly easily. It also wasn't the type of thing I normally would have ordered though. This also wasn't what they had on the menu for the tasting which sounded better so I was kind of disappointed. 4th Course: Blood orange tart. Good. I also tried the boyfriend's chocolate peanut butter desert and it was awesome. The wine went well with everything. I thought the red they used for the third course was a little heavy though and they should have stuck with white. Service was great. They also put us in the curtained upstairs booth which was nice. This was the best dining experience I've had in Pittsburgh in a long time. In particular the service which I find lacking a lot of places. I'm only giving it 4 b/c I think they could have kicked it up a notch with the food a bit. read more

My fiance and I went here before an opera performance. We were very pleasantly surprised at the decor- urban chic, plenty of room for intimate dinners or for groups. Upstairs bar was very cool. We were seated immediately (we made reservations early on a Friday night). Our waiter asked us if we were going to a show so that he could make sure we were served and out in plenty of time to get to our venue. The food was not the usual run-of-the-mill fare, and we very much enjoyed our meals. read more

Absolutely perfect experience. We shared the tartare which was split on two plates for us to eat. I had the pork chop, as I have a fish allergy my dining experiences are limited, but it was prepared exceptionally. We also had the chocolate cake that had small slices of crispy chocolate that was awesome. Our server was accommodating and polite as we wanted privacy and he was diligent enough to give us just the right amount of attention. He knew his wine pairings and recommended something both my date and I (who have very different preferences) could enjoy. The cocktails were very good, I had the sangria and my date a manhattan, (yes, on top of a bottle of wine). The bread was very fancy and delectable. I definitely look forward to coming back. read more

Brunch and or Dinner - always a great experience! In and around the city - one of the best restaurant experiences! Breads are always a treat in this place. 5 dining experiences this year and nothing bad to say! Chef Bill does a great job with this place! read more

The food was great, service was just ok. The halibut was cooked perfectly and the dessert brought for a birthday was an awesome treat. Be prepared to spend a little, but it's good food, nice a really nice, upscale atmosphere and is worth it for a special occasion. read more

Dinner has always been excellent so no complaints. But went for brunch a few weeks ago & definitely complainable. Very weird brunch items. There were 5 of us & none of us wanted anything on the menu. We all ended up getting the kids menu with regular eggs, hash browns & toast. Took 1.5 hours!!!!! to get our food. It was seriously unbelievable. Service was awful. Awful. Awful. I'll stick to dining for dinner only from now on. read more

Wish I could just base this review on their food, but the waitress I had was so horrible that I can't provide a better review. I kindly asked for sparking water as she was pouring tap, but when I did the waitress gave me the dirtiest look, grabbed the water glass, and took off without saying a word. Didn't see her for the next 10-15 minutes. read more

The service and food at Eleven have been impeccable on every occasion that I have visited. Servers and chefs are detail-oriented beyond reproach and they anticipate your needs before you have them. My favorite entrees here tend to be fish (especially halibut, when they have it). Flavors are fresh and the menu changes often enough to keep things interesting. Food presentation is phenomenal too, especially with desserts. We have come for a few milestones (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.) and they always acknowledge them with a special treat. read more

Visiting Pittsburgh for the first time, I am delighted this was my first meal in the city. Everything brought to the table, from the celery-infused gimlet to the bread, appetizers, the entrees and desserts, everything was fresh, inventive, and beautifully considered. Kudos to the chef. read more

Went to Eleven for dinner Friday night. The staff were all very kind and accommodating, from the valet to our waiter. My date and I shared the ricotta cavatelli and tuna tartar to start, both were delicious and exceeded our expectations. A member of the front of the house brought a basket of bread to choose from, it was difficult to only chose one. For dinner my date had the halibut with polenta, the consistency of the polenta was next to divine, I could have made a meal of that alone. The texture and flavors and the way they intertwined has made me crave it ever since. Dessert was amazing as well, sorbet and creme brûlée. Only 4 stars as I had to send back my martini 2xs as it wasn't made properly. The first one was delicious but the following one tasted of hair spray. All in all an amazing atmosphere and impeccable dishes. read more

While the food was fabulous, the wait staff was stiff, rude and even aloof. I'd love to give the restaurant the 5 stars it deserves, but I can't get past how pretentious the staff is. read more

Amazing food and exceptional service! Have been here a few times for corporate events with a fairly large group and don't have one complaint! Laura is an amazing waitress and has been more than accommodating. Julie, the chef has gone out of her way to provide a special request dessert more than once with very little notice for us! Great service & people. Can't wait to go back. read more

Seafood spectacular on all occasions. Oysters and scallops are fab. Wine pairings knock your dinner out of the park. You can't go wrong here. read more

Eleven's food is ok, but overpriced. I'd much prefer a chili's or applebees. The atmosphere and free bread are nice, but otherwise the portions are small. read more

I love the happy hour. I wish I could afford to go to dinner here more often but I appreciate that there is an affordable and awesome happy hour during the week to satiate my 'need' for dollar oysters (they usually have 6 oysters for 6 dollars) and craft cocktails. I am especially fond of the cucumber mule (OMG!) cocktail. When we have been here for dinner it has been consistently good, with great service. I have heard that holidays like New Years are to be skipped, but I know that's the case at almost any restaurant anywhere. I am now craving oysters, so I may have to go back this week :-) read more

*****This is easily the best restaurant in Pittsburgh*****. They have the most impressive wine selection in Pittsburgh. I've visited this place more than 20 times on business and personal dinners, it has never disappointed. The menu does change with the season, but their mainstays like lamb and tuna tartare are exceptional. read more

Due to their excellent coupons for members of their email listing, my husband and I go here once a year and we look forward to it each time! The Lamb, Pork, and Salmon dishes are beyond exceptional. We tried the tasting menu and it was great to try new items (some we had to google or ask the server) but we'll stick to their entrées from now on! I recommend dessert items as well read more

In my humble opinion Eleven has the best burger in they city. It's a perfect mix of Black Angus beef, and organic grass fed lamb with just the right amount of garlic aeoli. Good atmosphere for families or just two. Couldn't tell you how the rest of the entree's taste because I always order the burger. lol read more

First time here and was pleased with how polite and informative the staff was every step of the way. Despite a few mixed reviews recently from friends and family that have been we decided to try it and were not disappointed. We try to stay pescatarian and this menu allowed that flexibility! The tuna tartare and oysters were delicious (and I'm not a huge oyster fan but the freshness of them coupled with a lemon wedge, a habanero like paste and a vinegar sauce made these scrumptious). The salad should have been offered with dressing on the side. The seafood tasting entree is amazing and the scallops and crab cake were sweet and succulent. To top it off we went for the warm dark chocolate cake dessert in a white chocolate sauce and ice cream on top. The best! The Eleven Mule was our favorite drink and the Berry Mojito and the Rosalita were tied for 2nd (both on the sweet side) read more

This was an experience. The drink menu was very extensive and there was a lot to choose from. Since I had been drinking beer for most of the afternoon I chose a Mixed drink with knob creek. My wife and I chose a crab crack for an appetizer. We were fighting over the last bite. I ordered the swordfish which was amazing. My wife and I also split the ice cream trio for dessert. The staff was amazing. The atmosphere was great. It did take us three hours for our meal but one of the members in our party ordered the pairings. Overall great experience. read more

This is my favorite big burritto joint. I've been here several times and never been disappointed. The valet parking is helpful, however should be complimentary given the cost of the place. The interior is gorgeous with an open kitchen, great bar area, tall ceilings and private area upstairs. The wine selection is better than most and overpriced as is the standard. The service is as good as any other place in the city from the host to the server to the bartender. Dinner starts with an amouse bouche (sp?), which last night was some type of parmesan crisp with a pea mash on top (not that good really and an odd grainy texture). Then they have a great assortment of bread they make in house. We started last night with a lamb taco which was perfectly cooked seasoned tender lamb on a corn tortilla with a nice sauce. I ordered the filet, which was a prime cut filet cooked perfectly served with a mushroom black truffle bread pudding (the bread pudding was quite heavy and except for the mushrooms pretty bland). It's also accompanied with root vegetables in a wine reduction. My friend ordered the seafood tasting, which we shared. It was a small piece of salmon cooked well and seasoned nicely with two shrimp with the head on. The shrimp was amazing. It was delicate and had a great flavor, tasted like they pulled them out of the water minutes earlier. The crabcakes were a little below average with too much breading and a little overcooked. A special shout out to the server Tim who was great and a pro. Next time I'll try the chef tasting menu and if a group occassion comes up I hear the chef's table in the kitchen is quite an experience. All in all this restaurant can stack up in any city. read more

i've been to eleven twice, and i can't believe it took me this long to get there. i work under big burrito so i've heard plenty of good things about this place but never made an effort to go... now i know, i was wrong. my first visit, i ordered the lamb dish. absolutely amazing. i'm not a huge fan of polenta or mushrooms, which both came on the dish, but i gobbled those up as well, not a single complaint. i also got the creme brulee which was quite good. my second visit, my friends and i split the meat and cheese plate - some interesting choices, but all and all very good. i ordered the eleven burger with goat cheese which was very good. and i asked for a side of ranch with my fries (wasn't sure if they'd have it or not, since it's fine dining, but couldn't hurt to ask right?). here's the kicker, they don't have it, so the kitchen whipped up their own. i was grateful and impressed, it was really really good. we finished the meal with the chocolate-pretzel candy bar dessert. a little rich for my taste, but still pretty good. anyone who loves rich chocolate and peanut butter would love this dessert. another really cool aspect about dining at eleven is that you get bread with your meal, but you get to choose which kind you'd like. the server comes over with a basket with 2-3 choices, and you choose your slice (or slices) and they return throughout the meal. i haven't had a server i didn't like yet, and seth, on the managing staff, explained our dishes and drinks for us. now, i do have to mention how pricey eleven is. it's fine dining, and the bill proves it. but let me tell you, it's worth it. not only is the food amazing, but you do get good portions as well. trust me, spend the money, and you will not be disappointed. read more

My husband and I were visiting for our Anniversary and asked the desk where we were staying "The Renaissance" where to have a wonderful dinner....they suggested "Nine on Nine' or "Eleven". We choose Eleven because when we were walking during the day we passed on our way to the Heinz Museum and stopped in...the decor was nice and the young woman at the front desk informed us the dress was Jacket but no tie needed...classy she said. So, we booked on line through Yelp. We arrived but had to wait at the front desk while the same young woman explained to the person where to buy a six pack at some package store. Then while we were waiting we noticed people where in jeans and no jackets...we where dressed or over dressed at this point. Finally, seated we did enjoy great service from our wait staff. The wine was Frog's Leap Merlot which was nice rounded aged wine. I had the Hudson Valley Foie Gras | $18 Belgian endive, arugula, brioche, persimmon, late harvest vinegar....the Foie Gras was over cooked, large portion but the endive had the right touch of sweetness that it was palatable. My husband had the Tuna Tartare * | $12caviar, Meyer lemon mignonette, pea tendrils, white anchovy which again, was a nice size portion and my husband enjoyed it. We both ordered the Roasted Squash & Parsnip Soup | $7crispy parsnip. It was too spicy for me and my husband attempted to consume both bowls but was too much. The waiter noted my concern on the spices and took it off the tab. We both order for our main Jamison Farm Lamb | $34 smoked shoulder, saddle, lamb bacon, local beets, potatoes, red onion marmalade, mint which was the highlight of this entire meal....cooked perfectly, the lamb bacon such a surprise and delight, along with the smoked shoulder left us completely satisfied...you might say it saved the night~ We had Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee sweet ricotta doughnut, poached pears for dessert which was not as creamy as I like Brulee to be. Cappuccino and Espresso followed which was a nice finish to our meal. My husband went to the front desk to ask for a cab to be called. He had to return three time to order a cab which did not sit well with him. Overall, the wait staff and actual meal were enjoyable with the highlight being the lamb! Disappointment on dress code not being true to form and the presence of the front reception person lacked higher standards for a fine dining atmosphere. read more
