Eleven has always been one of our favorite Big Burrito restaurants. The service is upscale and it is such a comfortable place to have dinner. Sometimes the menu is a challenge for me. Pork chops have been my choice here but not to be this evening. The chicken was suggested and that was my selection. It was quite good but I really think I'll wait for the chops to return. read more

Preface.....this is the third time I've eaten here - each time was solely because it's the only Chase Sapphire restaurant in Pittsburgh, and the entire region. My experiences have not been high-end, perhaps more "tinfoil" than sapphire, to say the least....see below. That being said, it's proven to be a very middling experience each time, especially from a service standpoint. Each time has had mysterious delayed times to get waited upon, receive food and drinks, and every time has featured a mysterious disappearing item that we had to politely "remind" the server about after receiving the bill. On this occasion, we were offered to still receive a missing drink even though it was incredibly clear that we were ready to leave. One time, sure, but all three visits have had issues. This time, when the final bill was corrected, the math didn't seem to make sense - removing a $14 drink and the total came out $5 less. I'm being candid in saying instead of even dealing with the server once more, their tip corrected the discrepancy - no issues in dealing with the situation in that manner, given the sub-par service. Unacceptable and frustrating to have 3/3 times experiencing significant service issues. Food-wise, it's a solid "4" rating - salads have all been great, the dishes we'd recommend are the black cod and the short ribs. Good selection of semi-local beer and extensive wine list. It was noted that the menu had "changed" with the season, but the overall menu was 80% the same with some very subtle modifications - all over a two-year period. First time we went here, we sat at the tables above the bar area, and unfortunately there was a very bar-like smell that could be experienced throughout the meal (imagine having fine dining at the Rock Room on Polish Hill) - thankfully these other two times have been in the main dining area, on nights that haven't been very busy (adding to the frustration regarding the service notes above). Honestly, this is a legacy restaurant here in Pittsburgh, it's a shame that newer places with great food + service have a hard time launching in this environment. read more

I had a great experience at Eleven. We made a reservation for 11am on a Sunday. When we arrived we did valet parking. It is $6 which is cheaper than finding parking in any of the lots. Our waitress was great! So nice and knowledgeable of the menu. I ordered the Brunch Prix Fix which is $39 for an appetizer, entree and a cocktail. That deal is worth every penny. I ordered a mimosa, the quiche and a burger. The quiche was SO good. I would order that any day of the week. The burger was good, I will probably try a different entree next time. The omelette looked really good! The restaurant is very clean and the fireplace upon entry is so warm. I will definitely be back for another brunch in the future. read more

Food here was delicious but not memorable. The only dish that stood out was the white asparagus and morels. Service was friendly and quick. The restaurant is super dark for the ambiance/mood they're going for. Just pointing it out because I had to use my phone light to read the menu. read more

Was in town for work and had dinner with a couple of colleagues. We had the tuna tartare, calamari and seafood tasting for starters. Both were very good. I had the prime strip steak for my main and it was extremely tender and cooked just right. The restaurant was very nice and our server Anna was excellent. I thought the prices were reasonable. read more

4.5 stars. I had a reservation made for the Saturday after the fourth of July and they seated us prompted at a nice corner cushioned table. We enjoyed the bread basket that had 3 or 4 types of house-made breads, and my cocktail was strong and enjoyable. They had plenty of non-alcoholic options for my partner as well. My salmon was perfected cooked and my partner enjoyed the seafood sampler entree. All in all it was a great meal, though there was nothing particularly standout or creative. Id come back next time though if they featured some spring foraged ingredients like some of the other reviews reflect. read more

Loved this spot! It has a sleek, modern vibe with outdoor seating and such a friendly, welcoming staff. Our waiter was amazing. The cranberry sourdough bread was incredible perfectly baked and so good with the butter. Drinks were delicious and balanced (definitely recommend trying a cocktail here!). For food, the pasta was rich and comforting, and the steak was cooked to perfection tender, juicy, and beautifully presented with onions and greens. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully made. Overall, an excellent dining experience. Can't wait to come back! read more

We are foodies and eat at the best restaurants in the world. We literally travel to eat in the top restaurants. The staff at this restaurant treated us as if they couldn't possibly care less whether we were there, satisfied or welcome in the very least or not. We were sat at a lovely table overlooking the bar, but as soon as our waiter Ted came to our table, it couldn't have been more obvious that he didn't want to work there, much less be our server. He threw our plates down, never asked anything other than what we wanted to order then walked away. It was so bad & made me so uncomfortable that I wanted to leave. The waiter didn't even care or ask why we wanted to just pay for what we had and cancel the rest of our order. Oh, and by the way, the risotto appetizer had trumpet mushrooms on top that tasted like Butane but Ted didn't even ask why we sent it back or if we wanted to try something different. Cynthia, who is apparently a manager came by and seemed genuinely concerned. We stayed because of her sincerity, but this is a prime example of how a person in the service industry can absolutely ruin a good restaurant. I never, ever have complained about a singular server but there's a first time for everything. They gave us a new server in an effort to encourage us to stay and try our entrees. I had ordered the seafood sampler & my husband ordered the gamelli. Everything was under seasoned. Normally I would have just added salt and asked for lemon or lime for the much needed acid on the seafood, but the poor service just tainted the barely average food. The new server they gave us Joanna, was lovely & it was obvious that she was doing her best to erase the memory of the beginning of the evening. It didn't help that Ted glared at us every chance he got as he walked by. The last thing we ordered was the desert of the sticky toffee cake. It had brûléed figs which also had that Butane taste. The cake was dry & almost completely void of flavor besides the Butane laced figs. We had heard great things about Eleven and it was such disappointment. I'll leave it at that. (pictured is the under seasoned gamelli & the bland, dry sticky toffee cake) read more

Fabulous service that'll make you feel like royalty, and a pretty good location with the choice of valet or easy parking just across the street. The braised short ribs were melt-in-your-mouth tender, though the ketchup-meets-gravy sauce on top was a little odd. As for the carrot cake--gorgeous to look at, but don't expect the classic crumb; it's more of a mousse-y makeover. read more

Wow, wow, wow! So delicious! My friend made a reservation here, and, man, was it pure yum! Excellent service in a classy joint. We started with some great beverages. My Pears Well was so good. And tis the season. Excellent gin taste with a great background of pear. The bread... my goodness. As someone who loves a good focaccia and sourdough, when you get both at once, you're immediately happy. The salty focaccia and the airy sourdough hit the spot. For appetizers, the meatballs and calamari were out of this world. Meatballs were so tender and calamari had great heat! We had goat cheese, and let me tell you-- put some goat cheese, fresh honey, and chutney/jam on a cracker and you have a bite from heaven. My entree was the duck! YUM!!! I devoured. The flavor of the duck...I could just rave about it. So tender and delicious. Get this dish! What an amazing evening. I will be back! read more

So far the best restaurant I have been to in Pittsburgh....moved here from Chicago so a tough judge (Including all that I liked but this was better, petit blue, altlius, del frisco, otaru)..... only reason I am commenting here is how actually amazing this was and deserves a wayyy higher rating than what is posted. The drinks were on point, service was great, OMG ahi tuna app was the best I have ever had, and the cavatelli was to die for. Beyond that 2 apps, drinks, dinner & dessert was around 150, so a total steal for this type of food! Run to this restaurant it's a 10/10. read more

Warehouse by an old Pennsylvania rail line to elegant restaurant! Eleven mastered the dining scene in Pittsburgh. It offers a seasonal menu and an outstanding wine list. It's located in Pittsburgh's Strip District and pays homage to the city's industrial backbone. Chef Eli Wahl is the master of seasonal products. I had the Seafood Tasting, which included striped bass, crab cake, sea scallop, creamed corn, fingerling potatoes, and tomato vinaigrette (no ham). How can you not order this? It was amazing. The oysters were also fantastic. This is a must-visit for the pescatarian! read more

Had an amazing time celebrating a friends birthday at Eleven! MASSIVE shoutout to our server, Joanna, who made this meal probably one of the best in Pittsburgh. Joanna went above and beyond for making this birthday special from recommending dishes, putting our flowers in a vase during dinner, and super attentive during our meal. Every dish here was so good, I'm especially thinking of the pasta and calamari we ordered. Can't wait to come here again and this will certainly be on a rotation for my friends and I! read more

I've been wanting to come here for awhile because of all the great reviews from friends and coworkers. The menu rotates seasonally and has a nice selection of pasta, seafood, and meat options. I ordered the Ricotta Cavatelli and it was very delicious! The noodles were fresh and tender, brussels sprouts cooked to have a slight crispy char on the outside, trumpet mushrooms tender from soaking up the lemon-brown butter sauce. The butternut squash and rapini mixed throughout, with pecorino romano on top added even more flavor to each bite. Even the serving size was filling, so very much worth the higher price. Every table gets a free plate of 3 different types of bread too. Each are delicious and distinct. I only wish they offered a refill of the bread instead of just taking the plates away. The negative part of the experience was we had to wait 30mins after being ready to leave because their system went down and they weren't able to process payments, credit card or cash. Our server was very apologetic and nice to offer us free coffee and brought 2 small chocolate truffles. We were patient, but it was very frustrating to wait so long and miss out on our after dinner plans. read more

I had a great experience here! Customer service was friendly when I had to change my reservation. The server was nice and accommodating. (They even split the check between the 6 of us and that was a nice surprise) Food was great - we tried a lot of appetizers such as the crab cake, risotto, Caesar salad, calamari, and the meatballs. The calamari and complementary bread service were the highlights. I had a vodka dirty martini with Ketel one and blue cheese stuffed olives. I also had a vodka espresso martini. Not only were these cocktails amazing and some of the best classics I've had in the city, they were also reasonably priced ~$13.50. That will definitely bring me back! I also enjoyed how they listed what local farms they work with on the menu. read more

So after a few days of eating more casual food, a couple of our group said that we needed to have a proper meal. Unfortunately, we decided this on a Saturday night at 8:30 PM. We were staying at the AC Hotel, so I said, I know the place. I had visited Eleven before for a client dinner and was very impressed. We walked in and found three adjacent seats at the bar!! We were very excited. The bar is dark, cool, and very inviting. It provides a great setting. Our bartender/server was very nice. She was pleasant, attentive, and focused on providing us with a great experience. We split an appetizer to start, and they also provided us some warm bread, which was fabulous. I had a black Manhattan to start, which was very well made using high-end whiskey. I ordered the flank steak with a bordelaise sauce and French fries. Flank steak can sometimes be tough, but this one was so tender and perfectly prepared; I was really happy. The sauce had an amazing flavor. Our server recommended a great Cabernet to accompany it. My buddies ordered the crab cake sandwich and were very happy with the results. I ordered a 2nd black Manhattan for a nitecap. We left completely satisfied. I would encourage anyone to try this place. It is one of the best I have run across in Pittsburgh. read more

Everything here was exceptional. We had a lot of food I didn't even take pictures of. The dinner came with a variety of complimentary bread, which was great as well. The menu is changed seasonal, guaranteeing you the highest quality ingredients. We had for apps: calamari, scallops, crab cakes, oysters dinner: I had the strip steak which was cooked to perfection and tasted great! Others at the table had the filet which was really good too. We were overwhelmed with how great everything was and over the top. You really can't go wrong here with anything you order. The ambience is fun here and chic. We sat upstairs so it was very private and quiet, which was needed for our purposes of dining. They offer valet parking or self parking across the street. Our waitress did a great job as well. She told us how she was previously in the pastry department. read more

Dined here with a friend on a Friday evening. The place was busy, so we needed a reservation. I was a little skeptical because it's right beside a hotel, so I feared it would have a hotel bar/restaurant vibe - that certainly was not the case. It's a cool place with an upscale yet industrial feel. Food was fantastic. Now, it's pricey so definitely bring your wallet. My friend and I both had the steak and we split the scallops for an appetizer. I was impressed with both. Definitely will be back. read more

The food was fantastic and the server was great too! Cool vibe! I will definitely go back next time I'm in Pittsburgh!

It was the extraordinary service and food quality that made our evening at 11 most enjoyable.

4.50 stars. I just want to say Eleven made one of the best dishes I've had in calendar year 2025. Specifically, they had a truly impressive display of morel mushrooms topped with fresh seasonal ramps over a bed of oat risotto. This was an absolute delight with each bite absolutely bursting with rich and robust flavors. I've never had or really thought to have an oat risotto, but give the Eleven kitchen laurels for envisioning and perfectly executing this dish (I once tried to make an avocado risotto and let's just say that didn't go as well). I suspect this dish won't stay on the menu based on its hyper-seasonality but if you can still order it, do yourself a favor and get it. I also had a Scottish salmon that was perfectly cooked. It was delightful, but the morels with oat risotto will be my lasting memory of Eleven. Fantastic place and definitely worth a second visit if I find myself in Pittsburgh again. read more

Ate at Eleven two days in a row for a work event so I was able to try two different entrees. The event for work included an appetizer sampler, first course which was the arugula salad, entree, and desert trio. The entrees were good but a bit bland. I enjoyed the chicken and pierogi. The staff were very polite and helpful both nights. My rating is for the bland food, dark lighting, and the floors had a sticky feeling. read more

I made a last minute reservation with some changes at Eleven for dinner and they were very accommodating! This was our 1st experience for dinner as the last few years we only dined for brunch. I cannot say enough good things about the food, ambiance, and service. I ordered the prime strip steak with pierogies and it was phenomenal. My dining partner ordered the pork chop with sweet potato dumplings and cider cabbage. Both were truly exceptional winter dishes. A variety of fresh baked bread was provided. The chocolates given to us at the end of the meal was the perfect touch. Eleven is the spot to celebrate any type of occasion! read more

I visited Eleven last Saturday for a double birthday celebration and requested a great table when making the reservation. Unfortunately, we were given the worst table and told we'd have to wait another hour for something better, which was incredibly frustrating. Thankfully, Sean, the bartender, completely saved the night. His professionalism, amazing cocktails, and excellent food recommendations turned what could have been a disaster into a great evening. Sean is easily one of the best bartenders I've ever met, and I hope the management rewards him for his outstanding work. Ps all the stars goes to Shon. Will not come back for dinner. My friend and I visited Eleven for their happy hour special including $9 bites, $9 wines by the glass, and $9 cocktails. We enjoyed casa margaritas (Casco Viejo blanco tequila, Bauchant, lemongrass, lime) as well as fried cheese curds (tomato tapenade, basil pesto, pickled shallot), soft pretzels (beer cheese, rosemary salt), and complimentary focaccia. The food and beverage quality was great, however there were a few minor misses in terms of service. I didn't get a chance to request a to go box before the bartender cleared our plates and missed sneaking another drink in before happy hour ended. Overall, Eleven's happy hour special is the perfect way to sample some weekday drinks and eats in an elevated atmosphere at very affordable prices. read more

chose this for a birthday dinner as we were in the area for a steelers game. i wanted something that felt classy but not crazy fancy. this fit the bill. the reservation was easy to make and they called to confirm as well. once we got there, we were greeted instantly and shown to our table. i loved the christmas decor they had. our seat was upstairs so it felt like we were away from the hustle and bustle downstairs. we were seated at a nice table, i will say the lighting upstairs compared to down was very dim, but its part of the ambience. our server was jack (i hope we got that right). he was great. it was our first time so he took us through everything and was a really fun server. the food?? insane. i got the braised short ribs and they were melt in your mouth good. the flavor was incredible. you get some bread for the table and it was delicious as well. overall, we would definitely come back. i'd love to see what it's like when it's warm out. thanks for a great birthday dinner! read more

Really enjoyed our meal. Our waitress was not on point at times. Slow to show up. Then asked if we wanted to order drinks and a first course but we did not have a wine list. Had to ask for the wine list that is on tablet. Found a wine that wanted to order but the picture on the tablet did not match. Waitress did notice and made sure that was the wine I wanted. Waitress seemed to be in a rush the rest of the evening, trying to clear plate when not finished and just seem to be lost. Started with the calamari which was perfectly cooked and had a nice sweet and sour sauce and some grilled lemon. the beet salad was outstanding with a pistachio pesto and some peach. We had a variety of entree and everyone was very happy with their meal. My Lumache was very good and had some nice lumped crab and grilled corn. read more

I love this place. Their food is incredibly solid. Hats off to the salmon. I've been here 6-7 times in the past month. I'm an easy going guy. My only real beef is that I've sat at the bar a handful of times 7-10 minutes before even being acknowledged by a bartender. If I'm paying $40-$50 for an entree I think it's reasonable to expect at minimum a "I'll be with you shortly". Busy, not busy. Same thing. It just doesn't make any sense. read more

Absolutely amazing start to finish. So many drink options (margarita was outstanding and fresh), starters were large in size and cheese plates came with a garnish of nuts, crackers and a sweet spread. Cozy atmosphere and beautifully designed building. Can't wait to go back! Leo was an outstanding waiter! read more

Enjoyed an absolutely fantastic birthday dinner for my first visit here. Everything was excellent from beginning to end. The oysters were fresh and complimented by a delicious house-made hot sauce. Bread assortment was tasty and well-salted. Our server really went above and beyond. We wanted to try each other's entrees, so he offered to have the chef plate us individual portions of both meals, which came elegantly separated on large stoneware platters. The tiramisu and toffee cake were almost too pretty to eat, and paired amazingly with the dessert wine flight. Cocktails were clean and well balanced throughout the evening. Just a great experience all around. Looking forward to keeping this place in the rotation. read more

What a wonderful experience! My family convened in Pittsburgh for a Cousins' Reunion weekend. On our last night, we wanted to have a delicious dinner and our cousin who resides in the city suggested eleven. We are so glad she did! There were 9 of us and we had no reservations on a Saturday evening. Yet we still managed to score a great table in the beautiful tavern area (thank you, host team!!). Our server Sydney was fantastic! She was so personable and patient with our large group. And she has great nails! LOL. Our orders included the short ribs, the seafood sampler (I got mine with two crabcakes and a scallop), fresh oysters, two "vegan surprise" dishes, and a few other items. EVERYTHING was absolutely delicious. The crabcakes are huge with no filler and the scallops were seared to perfection. The short ribs were melt in your mouth tender. Everything was fresh and flavorful, the portions were generous, and the cocktails were great! There's a purple drink with gin that is wonderful! And it was surprisingly affordable! We'd highly recommend eleven. Can't wait to go back! read more

The food was good. The decor if you take a left from the front door into the bar area is very cool. However, we were sat at the end when you take a right when you enter the front door and it is decidedly inferior to the bar area. But all of this would have been okay if not for our pushy server (an older gentleman). He took a while to get to us and when he did, we ordered drinks. He brought us our drinks and then asked us if we wanted appetizers, which we ordered. He then asked us if we wanted to go ahead and order our entrees at the same time, "because it would be easier". I told him we had not looked at the menu beyond the appetizers, and he snapped his book shut and seemed irritated. He then came by every few minutes for the rest of the evening except for after we had ordered more drinks - those took longer than necessary. read more
