Food was great and our waitress was very accommodating. She brought us tortilla chips with small plate of ceviche and some type of salsa as dip. Overall atmosphere is pretty good. Horrible service! They took more than an hour to bring our food out. The server kept forgetting to bring our drinks out. When we FINALLY got our food, they started mopping in the middle of us eating. I was so happy when I found out that this place was going to open because there isn't many good seafood restaurants in Oxnard, so I decided to check it out. I came in on 9/17/2014. The restaurant had only been open a few days therefore it was nearly empty. Not only was the food delicious but our server was very attentive and even brought to our table some of their ceviche to try it out. Everything we ate was delicious. I really enjoyed their shrimp and cheese empanadas! Everything from the complimentary chips, drinks, to the food was amazing. I ordered the Camarones Momias (mummy shrimp), which are shrimp wrapped in bacon with cheese on top. The shrimp were big and crispy and the bacon gave the shrimp so much flavor! Most plates are served with rice, fries (which are really good BTW), and salad. My plate would had been perfect if they would of added dressing to my salad. I also ordered a consome de camaron (shrimp broth) and it was ok.. a little bland to my taste but a dash of salt made it taste better. My husband ordered the coctel de camaron (shrimp cocktail) and he really liked it. The portions were generous we even took left overs home. The menu has plenty of options, mostly seafood dishes. I will definitely be coming back because I really enjoyed the food and ambiance. I strongly recommend this place is you like seafood and good food! read more

They had me with the chips, salsa , and ceviche. That extra little touch of ceviche to get you started is just the beginning. Then onto the empanada (pastry) stuffed with shrimp. I cant recall if it was baked or deep fried nevertheless it was hot coming out and the appetizers were a great complement to my beers! Went with the family and ordered a few things to try this place out. We ordered the shrimp and octopus cocktail, it was not very good, the octopus looked a little old and it looks like they don't know how to prepare because it was chewier than usual. I put some so Yucateo sauce, more tapatio and lemon, that seemed to fix the flavor. The fish taco was not very good either, again, not very good flavor. The shrimp ceviche was good after I added lemon, salt and again Yucateco! It's not the best but I've searched for a while for a good ceviche around a here and this will do when I have cravings for it. Every place that serves seafood should have Yucateco! It comes in very handy when the food doesn't have very good flavor! Plus, I love the spice it gives.The empanadas de Camaron were DELICIOUS! The green salsa that they give you with them is amazing, it gives the empanadas a great kick. The Michelada flavor was great too. The service was just okay, our waitress took our order, brought our food and she took a while to come back, needed more lemon, by the time she came back, I was done with my cocktail. The avocado portions are very poor, my cocktail and ceviche sure could have used some more. The few pieces on the empanadas were a little brown and did not give the dish good presentation. I love how they give you ceviche and salsa for the chips. They served my cocktail and Michelada in plastic, I don't know why this bothers me, but it does :/ lol The ambiance is good. The decor is a little blah for me. This place is huge, and I know they have a lot of business, so hopefully they add a little more color to the place since its a little dark. We stopped on the way down from Paso Robles, the place is big and has a good atmosphere, great for big parties. I ordered their aguachile and shrimp with cheese empanadas, the aguachile is on the spicy side so beware lol their cooked shrimps were overly salty, my husband got a coctel with shrimp and octopus and his shrimp were super salty as well. I was stoked on their fish ceviche they give out with your salsa and chips. I'm giving them 4 starts because of the salty shrimps and their slow waiting service. read more

First time here. Wait staff brings a sample of their ceviche and salsa to eat along with house made tortilla chips. Ordered the prepared oysters, really enjoyed them. Also had a small shrimp coctel. It's sized a bit in the small size compared to other locations, so I would most likely order a larger size next time. I didn't eat here, I didn't get a chance too because apparently they don't close at 11 or at 10 pm we showed up at 9:35 and they didn't want to seat us they said they were close I spoke to Luis and he said it was because the Banda norteno didn't show up ?????..... I loved it. I like that they bring you chips, salsa, and ceviche when you sit down which I loved the ceviche and they keep bringing it to you. The michelada was bomb just not enough beer in it. I had the pescado gratinado and it was really good the rice needs to be worked on because it tasted a little stale the beans tasted like canned beans. The taco de pescado not the best. Waitress was fast until it came time to split the checks she didn't really listen she got it wrong and took too long to correct it. The owner or manager was nice and friendly.
