We came to the Fisherman's Catch to celebrate Mother's Day since my wife was craving some seafood. We arrived around 11am right when thay just incase it was busy and we didn't make reservations. Once arrived we were greeted right away by the owner and staff and was seated right away. Luckily the restaurant wasn't that busy yet. Right of the bat service from Samantha P was fantastic and very friendly. As for the food we ordered 3 different appetizer and 2 main seafood dishes to share. Appetizers: Aquachiles- They were freshly made that morning and the was fantastic. Clam Strips- They were fresh and nicely battered. Portions were on the small side. Delaware Bay Oysters- Fantastic and so fresh. Very clean tasting. For the main dishes we ordered: 5oz Blackened Red Snapper- The snapper was grilled perfect. It was flaky and moist. 4pc Alaskan Cod Fish & Chips- I ordered it half Beer Battered and half Panko Fried. The panko came out dry but had a better crispness to it. The beer battered is the way to go. The fish was moist and flaky and the batter was nice and light as well. Plus the chips ( Fries) where amazing. I believe they were double fried. It was crispy on the outer layer and creamy inside. All in all we did enjoyed our Mother's Day lunch at Fisherman's Catch. Until our next visit. read more

This place is more fast causal as you order at the counter and they bring your food to you. The service was excellent and we had people check in on us. I had the lobster roll and the lobster itself was good and tasted fresh I felt like it needed to be seasoned with something more besides just drizzling the sauce on top. My family and I used to go here all the time for the live catch seafood. We drove all the way to Oxnard from the valley to learn that ownership had changed and so has the restaurant/market format. Now it's more like seafood dive bar situation. No more abundance of crabs to buy and take home. Ended up eating there to try the food anyway. Service was attentive and unhurried despite having a huge party of football fans the day we came. Did have to flag them down for water refills every once in a while since they sat us in the back corner. My fish and chips unfortunately did not have a shattery shell like I was hoping it would. It was a little soggy on the underside. Clam chowder had reduced a little too much and had gone a little gloopy but still tasted yummy. Lots of clams inside. Portions are pretty generous for the price compared to other seafood spots. All other items were good but unfortunately no longer the drive we used to make for this spot. Red Snapper Burger was a light and delicious "burger". Ingredients tasted fresh and flavorful. Recommend cutting it in half as the size is pretty big and can get messy, but not too messy. Which is great that it comes with fries. The waffle fries were also good as they were light, crunchy and a great scooper from any fallen ingredients of the burger. We went on Memorial Day and the service really nice. The ambiance was chill, the servers were polite, they checked on us quite frequently since we were the only group in the back patio. We ordered the clam chowder which was delicious but when I ordered the red snapper burger with tartar sauce on the side, I was a bit disappointed. The snapper had no seasoning and tasted really bland. Maybe the tartar sauce had all the flavors but even adding it after didn't do it for me. It's been almost 2 years since I've been here and there's been a management change. No longer are there tanks along the wall right as you walk in. They now have sit down service with a full wait staff and a new bar. You can still order at the counter, but if you are dining in, you get the full experience. They also have a Happy Hour menu from 3-6pm everyday. Keep in mind that their sit down service doesn't start until after lunch if I remember correctly. Not sure if this is a good or bad thing TBH. On the one hand, if you are there for just seafood like how H.C. or Redondo Pier is, then all you need is a table. But with the full service, not sure if you are allowed to take up tables just for that. I did notice that there were tables outside. Maybe that's where you are supposed to sit if you just want the H.C. experience. read more

I'm with a large group and we are rehearsing at a local school about 15 minutes away. We were looking at places to get good seafood and this came up as highly rated. We were short on time and ordered quick items so we could grab a bite to eat and then head back to work. The waitress was very nice and quickly got our orders. I got a bread bowl and clam chowder. The bread had a really cool design on top and had the right amount of sponge and chewiness for the sourdough. The soup was less desired and tasted like it didn't have much seasoning in it. There were good amounts of clam and potato, but the cream was the most powerful part of the soup. Seems like a very popular place and it's located really conveniently next to the water. Took the tornado for an early dinner tonight and man oh man it was spectacular. Sat in one of the back booths and was immediately helped by Roman. He suggested we try the beer batter and the beer batter oanko. Both were great. Cod and shrimp so good I nearly chewed my fingers off. Simply delicious. Roman was so good I thought he was the owner. Food taste is good! For this visit we ordered Clam Chowder, Captain's Platter and Ceviche. I'm grading it lower because of how the servings have been reduced to measly portions. Also, the two bowls of clam chowder were very salty. I liked the beer battered cod, calamari, and fried shrimp. Ceviche needs some salt. Chocolate Cake & Ice Cream is about $19 - it's not even good. On a total whim we came here for lunch since we were walking around the Channel Islands Harbor which is behind the Seabridge Marketplace. Service from the moment we walked in was phenomenal, warmly greeted. We took some time to look at the menu and our cashier/server was great at answering our questions. I ordered the coconut shrimp and my parents had the lunch specials. The place was clean...even though it is a seafood place, the place didn't smell "fishy". We sat in a booth and the food was brought to us fairly quickly. The coconut shrimp was by far the best coconut shrimp I have ever had and the orange sauce that accompanied it was phenomenal!!!! We all enjoyed our meal, the portions of the lunch special were perfect and the prices were reasonable. There was another worker there that thanked us for choosing the Fisherman's Catch and asked if we needed anything else. He was also so friendly. He was cleaning and getting utensils ready. I suspected he was the owner and on our way out I asked him if he was, he answered yes. I don't think he was friendly just because he was the owner, his way of being seemed to come naturally. I let him know that we really liked our food and that the coconut shrimp were the best! He told me that he isn't really a fan of coconut shrimp but that he enjoys these because of the orange sauce. Perfect, low key restaurant that I highly recommend! Plus, bathrooms were clean. Parking is a plentiful since this restaurant is located in a shopping center. We drove all the way out from Los Angele to do some shopping and pick this spot to eat -- and we would absolutely make the drive again! The food was amazing. The lobster roll was fresh and flavorful, and the clam chowder was delicious and perfectly seasoned. Our server, Audrey, was the best -- super helpful, friendly, and attentive. Fisherman's catch uses fresh seafood for their meals. My husband and I ordered the calamari, Cajun crab and the jambalaya pasta. The calamari was crispy and delicious. The Cajun crab was a huge portion that came with rice pilaf, butter, and some mixed veggies. It was so good. The jambalaya with some fresh squeezed lemon flavorful. This was the second time I've gone in since the new owner took over. The inside has a nice refresh and is much more comfortable to dine in. There's also a patio area with tables and umbrellas. We opted for outside today! I got the first and chips lunch special and my husband isn't a big seafood lover, so he opted for the burger. The burger was a tick patty and good sized. The chowder was delicious, creamy and tasty with that warmth of comfort. The fish was cooked to perfection. They have an amazing clam chowder that is so creamy and delicious! They also have fountain drinks, wine, beer or micheladas. I had a michelada and it was great. The service is always great. All of their employees are always friendly. When you get there you have to order your food first, they give you a number and then sit down, they'll bring your food and drinks to you. The seating is comfortable and the tables are large. The restaurant has plenty of seating inside or outside. Oh! And you can also purchase fresh seafood for here! Stopped in after not coming here for a couple years and was pretty disappointed. The fish and chips went up in price significantly, but down in portion. I got a three piece fish and chips and though my pieces of fish looked sizable, it was mostly batter. The actual fish was maybe 2"x 1" chunks. Others in our party who ordered the same thing had the same experience. The coconut shrimp is like 5 tiny shrimp- mostly breading again. I would not order this The Cole slaw now has fruit in it. We got two orders of calamari- both were extremely overcooked and rubbery.
