Plenty of parking. Beautiful place inside. Seem like they were a bit short staff because I was left waiting for a while before someone helped me. It wasn't busy, but the staff were friendly. The fish burrito was a let down. The battered fish was soggy and the tortilla was watery. Mind you, i ate this within 2 minutes from receiving my food. It was pretty bland in flavor. I think if the fish was crispy and the tortilla was less drippy, I'd enjoy this a lot better. Tjey should also have a spicy sauce to pair with this. read more

Awesomeness! The food, the service, the ambiance was just awesome. Eric was our server and he was the best. The food was perfection. The Carne Asada *Chef's Kiss* it was too good. The Shrimp tacos had so much flavor. And, I can't rave enough about the tres leches cake. It was happiness in my mouth. This is my new go to restaurant for Mexican food and Mariscos. Had a craving for some ceviche. Invited some of my cousins to join me. The server was Awesome. He catered to every request. The drinks were weak. Stick to beer. The food was good. Make sure you tell them to clean the shrimp if you get a cocktail. The restaurant was nice and they had a Mariachi band. Cool spot. The prices were decent. Bathrooms need some work. Since Ventura, Oxnard are by the sea, we wanted to do seafood and selected this place near the hotel. It was Sunday night and lots of families were there enjoying Sunday night out, Mariachi were playing. We ordered, fish, shrimp and ceviche. Both fish and shrimp were spicy. Ceviche took a while to prepare. I think I enjoyed cerviche the most. read more

I like the location. It's nice, modern and booths are comfortable. Menus are clear and well organized. Prices are fair for entrees and beverages. All good there. On the downside, it's noisy. Conjuntos walk in performing table side which I love but the house music stays on. Can't hear one or the other. Also service is good but a bit slow. What can I say? For a place that serves mariscos and other delicious food this spot is the place to go to! My in-laws love this place and whenever they come visit they love the location and delicious food! This restaurant recently underwent a remodel on the inside and I can say that it was 100% the update it needed. It is a bohemian Mexican style that overall is beautiful. What I can say is unfortunately the service these last few visits has been okay. It's either very busy that the limited servers can't be as attentive or they may forgot an item or someone's meal. Tuesday afternoon. The service was quick, not too many patrons which I like.. slow and quite.. The ceviche was good. The atmosphere was slow and quite, perhaps cause it was Tuesday. The menu - Colorful pictures of the food - Very nice.. The waiter - Mairely was very patience with our selection of our food and Drinks.. and very tentative to our food needs. The Drinks came quick. The tacos Rompe Catre were good but a little bit to Cold for my taste. The langostinos were nice looking an hot. Camarones a la cucaracha too much sauce, too creamy for my taste. Nothing special, I personally should've ordered mariscos. Took a long time to be seated, the place wasn't even full to have taken that long. When we asked for a box and the waiter came back with it plus the bill for us to pay.. we didn't ask for it yet. She didn't come back to charge us, we had to go front desk and get it done. I came here with my boyfriend and the food was delicious. I was looking for something not too pricey and this was the spot. Not to mention the proportions are pretty big. Enjoyed a great time at this Mariscos restaurant. Although busy, our server was very professional, friendly, and accommodating. The food here is amazing and the drinks as well. The first thing you do notice is the fish smell. There is a section that is all in Spanish but the rest of it is in English there is also a small section that is In English but fail to put a description of what is in the food. I ordered the fries with asada it was pretty good one of the baskets of chips they gave me (the ones they give you before the food) were stale. They were serving 20+ of us but they still took way to long to get all of us our food. Also the restroom floor is really slippery and the sink is right next to the urinal with no divider so that's reeeaally awkward. They have people playing live but they aren't that good.To be honest I am very confused about how to rate this but I bumped it up to a three because the people at my table genuinely thought the food was ok but otherwise everything else indicated a 2.5 or a 2. read more

Ehh, went their for the second time last night. I will say the first time we ever went we got seafood and everything was fresh and tasted good. First time we got anything outside of seafood, which was burritos and asada plate. I am sorry to say this, I will give them 3 stars because the drinks were good and customer service was okay but the food was terrible. We ate it as we do not believe food should be wasted but I was surprised, this was supposed to be authentic mexican food and it felt like it was not. The rice was not up to par and the beans were okay. The meat was chewy and not flavored or seasoned what so ever. We were excited for some authentic Mexican cuisine but it definitely was far from it, we were also shocked to receive french fries with burritos? The chicken in the burrito was chicken breasts not even cut thinly, it was cut into thick long chunks and only had barely 4 pieces of chicken in a huge burrito filled with corn beans and rice with cheese, the asada the same, it was chewy and rubber like. The food did not feel authentic and it felt rushed. It came out very hot so we were excited but the flavor and taste was not it, most likely if we come back it will be only drinks and seafood, the other food was not worth it. read more

Food is good, did tacos and they were good. Only issue is the building had a smell, i think the issue (having smelled it before) is due to their mop bucket and mop. They probably just need to get a new one but the smell reminds me of a club, which from what i read before coming here, this place turns into on the weekends. The service and food were good though, the gentleman that assisted me was quick and helped in the selection of what to get. He recommending the carne asada tacos and they were good. I'd like to come back for the food, however, due to the smell and some what of the interior/decor being more open/cluby i might try or look for another place. But if you find yourself in a pinch this place is good, i would probably just get it to go. read more

The owner was kind enough to recommend and serve us his specialities. The food is authentic, fresh, and delicious. You can tell people come here to eat authentic good Mexican cuisine. The drinks are also top notch. They don't skimp on the Tequila and they don't skimp at all when it comes to service. We were consistently checked on and everyone there was helpful and friendly. They have a mariachi band playing and on the Friday night we came, they had a Jenny Rivera cover artist. She was really good and you can tell people came just to listen to her while they enjoyed their food and drinks. Ill be back to try more food and drinks but this time I'll take my time because we had a concert to get to and had to leave before we could enjoy the entertainment. read more

This is my new favorite restaurant! The food was amazing and so were the drinks! The micheladas are delicious they don't have too much tomato juice it's made perfectly. The restaurant is clean and so are the restrooms. The staff is super friendly which was a plus. Our server Zulema was excellent! We had a large party and she did a great job! The price is worth it because they don't skimp out on the shrimp. I definitely recommend this place. read more

So for me it was really weird to go to El 30 because I use to frequent the restaurant that was there before. They made a lot of changes to the inside of the place, good ones I should add, but it was just funny to be eating at a small table where I clearly remember baseball stadium seating. My wife and I went for our 10 year wedding anniversary (she really wanted a michelada) and it was a Wednesday night. There were 4 or 5 other tables filled but the place wasn't packed by any means. The first thing we noticed was how quiet it was, which was strange because we had tried to drop in the weekend prior and the place seemed loud and had so many people out the door that we decided not to wait and never even made it in. It appears this might be one of those places with a completely different weekday to weekend vibe. The next thing we noticed was that although this was a table service restaurant it still had an "order at the counter -- seat yourself" sort of feel to it. Again, it wasn't bad but it created somewhat of a disjointed atmospheric experience (if that even means anything...lol.) NOW, the chips, salsa and complimentary bowl of ceviche come out. Magical. Salsa was one of the best I've ever had. Ceviche was awesome. So good that we didn't even realize our food took over 40 minutes to arrive at the table. So good, we were basically full by the time our food arrived. The only major problem was that the basket of chips and bowl of salsa were "serve your self salsa bar size" (without a serve yourself salsa bar) and we had to ask our server for more at least 5 times. As for the food, we shared a medium shrimp ceviche, shrimp and cheese empanadas and one fish and shrimp taco. The shrimp ceviche was really good but I preferred the complimentary fish ceviche we got with our chips and salsa. In fact, the free sample satisfied my craving just enough that I could've skipped the shrimp ceviche altogether. The shrimp and cheese empanadas were good, but not great; however, the green dipping sauce that it came with was awesome. Both tacos were good as well but nothing that will knock your socks off. With all that said, it was definitely a solid meal (despite the unexplainable wait) and we'll definitely be back for the chips, salsa and fish ceviche. Try it or Diet Final Word Try it! read more

Wow Wow Wow!! Fist time here and i am super impressed. I feel like i am back in Mexico. These Mariscos are as close as you can get to Guadalajara or Tepic restaurants. The Ambiance when you walk in is like a Family Fiesta, on the weekends they have Bands playing Norteñas or Mariachi. The Menu is complete with all that you can ask for. For those that love Camarones the Aguachiles or Empanadas de Camaron are a great appetiezer. We had them both and they are the best on this side of the Border. For our entree my wife had the Camarones Gratinados ( shrimp cooked with Mushrooms and creamy sauce) and I had the never go wrong with, Shrimp and Octopus Cocktail, I recommend both. This is their second weekend they have been open and i am surprised how many people are here. The wait was about 10 minutes. I do gotta tell you that they still need some improvement in service but we got the best attention from the servers and the owners walked up to our table to make sure everything was fine. I will sure come back soon and i plan to be a regular to this place. read more

Your experience at El 30 Mariscos will be dependent on your open mind and understanding of the Oxnard community (please reference @StayClassyOxnard on IG). If you're looking for a casual and somewhat loud Mexican seafood restaurant with a good drink selection that include margaritas, cantaritos, and beer towers this is the spot for you. This former Rusty's venue has utilized their space well to include plenty of seating that can easily accommodate large parties. I'm assuming the live entertain from the Jenni Rivera impersonator and mariachi make this the go to spot for the weekend. I WOULD SUGGEST TO ARRIVE PRIOR TO 6/7PM ISH DURING FRIDAY/SATURDAY BECAUSE THERE WILL BE A LINE! This is definitely the spot if you're in the mood to go from a celebration to a drunken mess with no judgement. =) This is also a family friendly environment. I enjoyed the complimentary ceviche and salsa with chips that was given to us upon arrival. Although the freshness of the food may be questionable based on the experience of others, after a night of consuming drinks, oysters, shrimp empanadas, and fish both my partner and I woke up perfectly fine! The prices are definitely competitive! I can't wait to return to El 30! Tip: DO NOT BRING ANYONE THAT HAS NO INTEREST IN SEAFOOD. Went their last night for a family birthday and ordered the 7 mares. After a couple of hours I was so sick I'm pretty sure was food poisoning. The only reason I know is because another person in our party ordered the same thing was sick same symptoms. I called and spoke to Gabi the manager and explained to her but she said to go to the ER because we have Covid-19. I explained I'm fine now after a night of hell but still says I have Covid-19 she needs to go through another training for the symptoms of Covid-19 because being a restuarant they need to know the difference of one being sick from the food and a sickness. read more

We just got home from seeing the Jenni Rivera imitador and it was a BLAST!!! Full house but still received great service from Marlene. It was worth the 20 minute wait for a seat! Not even a table but a seat, four us stood at a bar chair ordering drinks and an appetizer but we did not mind because the entertainment was well worth it. The demand was so high that it was impossible to get an approximate wait time so therefore we crowded a bar chair but they still served us and brought us our buckets of beer. Cheap!!!
