The place looks renovated and nice, but the waiter we got sucked. We sat closest to the bar and received little to no service. Our waiter on numerous occasions would be chatting with his coworkers and even decided to have some lunch during a service. This guy took our order while still chewing his food, he was friendly but would only ever come by when we would waive him down. Lastly he took off on a break and didn't transfer us to a new waiter/waitress, and we had to flag two other waitresses to be ignored for a while. (i get it they were probably trying to get him to go service his table as its not their responsibility) i got pissed and had to go to the kitchen to ask for the third time for a check. I should've just walked out since my waiter would have probably not noticed at all.... Also the kitchen brought out the food at all different times, the mojarra was the only thing that came out hot and everything else was luke warm. Really??? What is wrong with all these people with the positive reviews?? Maybe they just have no clue what good fresh Mexican seafood is?? I swear I've had better seafood out if a can!!! My god!! Where do I start?? The oysters were old, and when I say old I mean the color on them is bad!!! The shrimp...my daughter stopped eating her cocktel because of the huge lines of poop still attached to the shrimp.. She was disgusted and did not want to continue eating. My son loves octopus and shrimp and he could not eat his ceviche.. I tasted it and it was way over cooked, over salted and then just soaked in water until it turned pasty and hard... This is one of the worst seafood experiences I have ever had, anywhere!! And it's not like I only tried 1 or two things, I ordered 7 different things and almost all of our food was still on the table.. One thing that I really didn't like was that they sneaked in fake crab into my daughter's cocktel, the only reason she ordered that one was because it was the only one that did not have fake crab in it.. Uggh.. That's it, I'm so mad I can't even type anymore.. So here's my breakdown: 1/2 a star for the only thing I enjoyed, the shrimp broth appetizer.. 1 star for the service, our waiter was really nice. I love their ceviche poca madre. They always go the extra mile to make mild for me. It can almost revive a muerto. When I'm in Oxnard I always get this to go. I've tried another dish with carne asada and was also good. I enjoyed the authentic music even as I'm waiting for my ceviche. I recommend this place! read more

Dishes taste fresh however, they're very conservative when it comes to their portions. We ordered a large size Aguachiles and it barely had any avocado. We also ordered the shrimp empanadas, they were delicious but the avocado that was served with them were slithers. The green salsa served with the empanadas is so tasty and very good. A hidden gem! Yes, the restaurant looked closed but as you pull around there is a open sign in the window. From the moment we walked in we received excellent customer service. The food was delish even down to the glass of water with lemon. I could have eaten a little more but that is no fault of theres since their portions a average. This place has really good food. I normally visit Los Cabo Restaurant in Oxnard but I thought that the good at El 30 Mariscos is a lot better quality and has better taste. Portions are great as well as prices. Really fun family oriented restaurant. I had the shrimp tacos and they did not disappoint, I also had some Ceviche which was really good, and fresh. My only complaint for this place is the Mariachi. They play okay, but the singing isn't good at all. I literally wanted to run out of this place just because of the Mariachi, which is so disappointing because the food is so good. read more

This place has good micheladas, empanadas and ceviche. Not sure about the rest. The service is ok but what I hope management changes is either the acoustics of the place which makes all their live music sound really bad and way too loud or perhaps finding better music acts that don't sound so amateur. Also it's really big so when there's not that many customers it easily looks empty. I would suggest creating a divider which can be used to close off a section of the restaurant for added ambiance. Make some adjustments please and I'll go back more often...my friends say the same. read more

And everything was great! Fish tacos, shrimp cocktail, bacon wrapped shrimp plate and the micheladas are great for the cruda. And, not that your going to go here for fries (ordered some for the lil one) even those are great. We came in last night to a packed house. They had a norteño 3 man band playing..it's my type of setting. Then they had a Jenny Rivera impersonator. She was singing live and looked very much the part. The service was fast and on point. Waited about 5 minutes for our first drinks but had chips, salsa and ceviche which is standard here. Dishes were cleared immediately. I placed a late order by phone on 8/20/21 it was 9:45pm and they closed at 11pm. I arrived by 10 after they told me it would take about 10-15 min to be ready but it wasn't they all looked confused and it seemed that my food wasn't ready because they all started to run around the kitchen. They rushed to get me out which took about 20 min. When I arrived home the filete empanizado was not fully cooked half of it was raw and all they accompanied the filete with a small salad no rice or beans as they said it came with on the phone. I also ordered a coctel and it taste like it had michelada mix and not the usual Clamato. It was a michelada without the beer and they just threw some shrimp in there. Nothing stinks worse than old fish. I stopped in here before with a friend on a popular night. The place was packed, the singer was very good, the chips are home made. Unfortunately the chips were so salty they were inedible. The rock clams smelled, they shouldn't smell. Half of the chips were stale and half were fresh. We heard they usually have celebrity imitators on Friday nights, so we went. The entertainment was great - the Jenny Rivera impersonator looked, sang, and acted like the real Diva. The only down side is that they do not serve tequila - just beer. It was unfortunate because how can you not drink tequila while watching/listening to Jenny Rivera? The food and service were good. Their shrimp empanadas are the best, IMO. I loved that they serve ceviche with chips as a starter, instead of chips and salsa like most restaurants. We were in town for a comedy show for Angelah Johnson last night, and needed a bite to eat. Some local friends took us to eat here after the show. The place is spacious and inviting with murals and wall art throughout. We were unlucky to miss the live banda that they usually have :(. Getting to the important stuff.... Food was ok. This is our go to place when we want some delicious mariscos (seafood) and when we are in the area. This place serves delicious seafood, they bring out complimentary ceviche with the chips and salsa. We always get the micheladas because they're the perfect size and have great flavor. All of the dishes that I've tried here have been great, enough flavor and spice. Great sea food in Thown! I have try almost their whole menu I so far I can't say which food is my favorite. Everything is very fresh and tasty . Beautiful place to go eat with the family.
