We have been going to this Einstein Bros for years, and while their quality has actually been better and more consistent recently, we have realized that whoever bakes their bagels no longer puts the cornmeal on the bottom. This was a tasty addition that really set their bagels apart from other bagel spots and we wish they'd bring it back! Other than that their bagels and breakfast sandwiches are quite good and the servers are friendly. read more

This place is filthy. Looks like it hasn't been cleaned in months. Not well managed. No one seems to care.

I've been coming here for years. Not as much as I used to, however. The super nice manager that added the welcoming vibes is no longer there and the environment sorta changed after that. On this particular visit, I ordered a sausage egg & cheese bagel sandwich, toasted on both sides. Received bacon egg cheese toasted on outside only. It was ok, but it's not what I ordered. And by the time you take it to go, leave, open to eat later - it's all wrong. I come here maybe 4x per year. read more

You are not worthy of respect. The Black man who seemed to be either the manager or the owner was extremely rude and disrespectful. When customers walked in, he didn't even bother to say hello or acknowledge them. Instead, he looked very unhappy to see his customers, as if our presence itself was an inconvenience. From what I have carefully observed, this was not an isolated incident. He consistently treated every customer with an Asian face in the same dismissive and hostile manner. I have visited this place several times, and each time the pattern was the same. This is not just poor customer service--it is discriminatory behavior. Such actions are racist, and they are absolutely unacceptable. For someone in a position of responsibility, whether as the manager or the owner, to behave like this shows a complete lack of integrity. A business led by someone like you does not deserve the respect or trust of the community. read more

Such a disappointment. Two sandwiches ordered. One had wrong ingredients, cold bagels, no toasting, two pieces of ham and a thin slice of Swiss, one piece of lettuce about one inch by two two measly rings of onion and packets of mustard and mayonnaise. Plus, bagels were more like slices of bread and not true bagels .Never again will this place get my business. read more

Good location. I do wish they'd upgrade on their coffee. It's not bad but look at all of the new choices, with flavor and a caffeine boost to them. The bagels here are delicious. Good luck finding more varieties. This place has these, plus so many different toppings. They are tasty and the employees are super. I happen to like them, and always friendly in the morning. Seating here is okay. Yet I think this could be updated. It's fairly relaxing, not too loud, as most customers take out. Yet I'd like to find more comfortable chairs. It is clean though. That's important with restaurants. Good location too, although a busy part of town. read more

This place is horrible. Order what you want and get whatever they want. I ordered a bacon and egg sandwich. I get it on a cinnamon bagel. Why? So, I asked, "Why did I get a cinnamon bagel?" I must be a glutton for punishment. Got a chocolate chip coffee cake today. It's obvious they're smaller than before. (Cheap/obnoxious way for Einstein to make more money.). Just left Einstein Bros and I just want to shout out Corey! He's literally the only employee I encountered today with a good attitude. Went to my car to get cash, to tip him personally, and he still put in the shared tip jar. On the other hand the other employee working there with purple hair today threw the cream cheese container on the counter instead of handing it to my husband two feet away from her. In addition, Corey attempted to bring us our drinks to our table and she stopped him. Food was okay. Service was subpar, but we are grateful to Corey. Einstein Bros Bagels offers various specials/seasonal items, bagels, shmears, breakfast/lunch items, sides, and beverages. I usually prefer their Six-Cheese or their Jalapeno Cheddar bagels, toasted, shmeared with their Onion and Chive cream cheese. I'm a fan of their Twice-Baked Hash Brown, but they're always out of these, even in the early mornings! Staff are pretty friendly and efficient, but I just wished they were a bit heavy-handed with the cream cheese spreads! Plenty of seats inside, and there is usually a line in the mornings of locals, especially with students of nearby schools. Plenty of parking in the shared plaza lot. +Six-Cheese and Jalapano Cheddar bagels +Twice-Baked Hash Brown (usually out) +friendly staff +plenty of parking in shared plaza lot read more

We had a business meeting this morning with 30 people. We ordered ham and cheese and turkey sandwiches, along with chips. These were the worst sandwiches I have ever experienced in life. The bagel was cold, had no favor, there was 2 pieces of ham, 2-3 pieces of onion, one ripe tomato, and a thin slice of swiss cheese. The sandwich was horrible and no one seemed to eat it. The turkey sandwich was just as bad with 2 piece of turkey, old looking lettuce and of course a dry plain bagel. At least the chips were ok. It was a waste of money and absolutely the worst bagels. I'm not sure how they are still in business with these horrendous bagels. read more

Waited around 25 minutes for a bakers dozen and never got my order, asked for a refund and looks like they kept the dollar tip I left on my card lol. Was only a dollar so whatever but I suggest you don't tip until after you get your order. Looked like a couple people around me asked for a refund too because they were taking 20+ minutes to put bagels in a box. The person who ordered after me said she got 4 bagels unsliced with nothing on it and she also waited 20+ minutes. Wonder if she asked for a refund too. read more

Let me start with a positive note: service was fast and there is plenty of parking available and they have an app, I didn't try it though didn't feel like downloading an app just for a vacation stop. They do have a phone number that no one pick up. Service was awful, and the order was incorrect. I didn't took too many pictures as this place seems more like a fast food, they are just missing the drive thru. I did slightly like my hot chocolate but it is kinda hard to mess that up. I ordered a six cheese bagel just in case everything else wasn't good and glad I did. I will recommend that if you're still looking to try this place. But I will not recommend this place. read more

The Fairfax location has an obvious problem with their staff which translates into their poor service and professionalism towards guests (beginning with management down to the rest of their team). Main st bagel was packed so we made the mistake of coming here. Immediately we were greeted like we just walked into bobs burger. I whispered to my colleague "this place feels botted already". Ordered two bagels. The dude in the kitchen put together everything, pressed a button and was hollering our names a minute after we placed the order. I was not surprised to find a subpar "bagel" behind the conspicuous wrapping. The bagel wasn't even cut in half and at this point I didn't know where to start eating it or whether I wanted to eat it at all. I made the mistake of taking a bite before checking only to be greeted by dryness and eggshells on the egg white. The extra protein and calcium wasn't listed on the menu. Sometimes it's better to wait in line for good food or you could start your Saturday off unhappy. read more

This place is laughably bad and it gets worse every time I go. Rude, slow, constant mistakes, and THE TOASTER CAUGHT FIRE which smoked up the place. Most of the times the cashier is rude and the kitchen staff are very incompetent. Many of the times I'm waiting for 30+ minutes for simple orders and many of the times the order is completely wrong. Today I ordered 3 sandwiches. They claimed they called the order name 5 times even though I was a few feet from the counter constantly looking at what orders were coming since I was in a rush. After they realized I was there for so long they asked me 3 times again what my order was. 20+ minutes later they gave me 3 sandwiches, ALL with the wrong bagels/bread and ALL with incorrect topping. I came back regarding this issue and not a single staff member cared about this massive mistake. Coffee is okay but no where close to being a redeeming quality. The only reason this place is still around is because their franchised name gives them a massive boost. read more

I have finally decided to stop making excuses for this place, and give them my honest review. Coming here for years, I have to say that their quality in bagels and menu items they have is pretty decent. Although, the people behind the counter are the ones who present the final product, and yes, it matters. While I used to like their former staff members, I find their new ones lack a sense of enthusiasm and urgency. Unlike their previous staff, they often forget or mishear orders, get the order wrong or take an inordinate amount of time to prepare the food. I have been quite understanding time and time again. I like Einstein as a chain, I think they have good quality bagels and coffee. However, when it comes to staffing, I think they may need to pay closer attention. In more recent visits, the quality of customer service has definitely gone down. They are no longer quite so nice and patient as a couple years back. I find it very frustrating, their lack of consistency. They never have fresh coffee anymore when I come by, it is either cold or unavailable. They always forget to toast my bagel, even when I ask for it... And they even skimp on the cream cheese a lot of times and then charge me when I ask for a little more. It often takes over 20 minutes to finish preparing the order, even if I was second in line. It is upsetting to have to write a bad review, but I really think they should do something to save their business. Anyways, if you are in a rush in the mornings and need a good bagel, go to Main Street Bagel Deli. They are friendly and right down the street! read more

I've been to this location several times but most recently came on a Sunday morning around 10a. They usually have a long line and the wait time is usually over 15 mins. Today, the line was fairly short. We ordered two bagels, one with cream cheese and one with cream cheese and tomato. It took us 11 mins to receive our food, initially, which I think is average. I asked for my bagel toasted hard, but it wasn't. They did the order over again & it took them about 6 mins this time. The floors and tables were clean and the cashier was pleasant. The bagel didn't taste good, the consistency was soft, which I was a bit surprised at since I ordered it twice toasted extra hard. read more

Worst customer service. Store empty and not one employee would acknowledge me. I was standing at the register for a couple minutes. Sad

Food as usual is okay, but it was the impatience and employees rude persona that stood out to me... No greeting, sighing and rolling her eyes as she waits for me to decide, aggressively clicking the register, etc. I'm not sure if she was in a bad mood due to something happening right before I walked in but there was many exertions of micro aggression from the employee which was unfortunately uncomfortable for me and disappointing. read more
