Just left Einstein Bros and I just want to shout out Corey! He's literally the only employee I encountered today with a good attitude. Went to my car to get cash, to tip him personally, and he still put in the shared tip jar. On the other hand the other employee working there with purple hair today threw the cream cheese container on the counter instead of handing it to my husband two feet away from her. The bagel was cold, had no favor, there was 2 pieces of ham, 2-3 pieces of onion, one ripe tomato, and a thin slice of swiss cheese. The sandwich was horrible and no one seemed to eat it. I usually prefer their Six-Cheese or their Jalapeno Cheddar bagels, toasted, shmeared with their Onion and Chive cream cheese. I'm a fan of their Twice-Baked Hash Brown, but they're always out of these, even in the early mornings! I have finally decided to stop making excuses for this place, and give them my honest review. Coming here for years, I have to say that their quality in bagels and menu items they have is pretty decent. Although, the people behind the counter are the ones who present the final product, and yes, it matters. While I used to like their former staff members, I find their new ones lack a sense of enthusiasm and urgency. Unlike their previous staff, they often forget or mishear orders, get the order wrong or take an inordinate amount of time to prepare the food. I have been quite understanding time and time again. I like Einstein as a chain, I think they have good quality bagels and coffee. However, when it comes to staffing, I think they may need to pay closer attention. In more recent visits, the quality of customer service has definitely gone down. They are no longer quite so nice and patient as a couple years back. I find it very frustrating, their lack of consistency. They never have fresh coffee anymore when I come by, it is either cold or unavailable. They always forget to toast my bagel, even when I ask for it... And they even skimp on the cream cheese a lot of times and then charge me when I ask for a little more. It often takes over 20 minutes to finish preparing the order, even if I was second in line. It is upsetting to have to write a bad review, but I really think they should do something to save their business. I've been to this location several times but most recently came on a Sunday morning around 10a. They usually have a long line and the wait time is usually over 15 mins. Today, the line was fairly short. We ordered two bagels, one with cream cheese and one with cream cheese and tomato. It took us 11 mins to receive our food, initially, which I think is average. I asked for my bagel toasted hard, but it wasn't. They did the order over again & it took them about 6 mins this time. The floors and tables were clean and the cashier was pleasant.
