I frequent many bagel specific spots like naval bagels and others. This is my first time trying einstein in Annapolis. I thought the severna park location was fantastic. I ordered my bagels for pick up and the staff was very quick and efficient. The inside was large and had plenty of seating. Unfortunately when it came to my bagel I believe they forgot the cheese. There was not much flavor to my bagel which I'm kind of sad about. I ordered the garden avocado egg sandwich. I feel like if the cheese wasn't forgotten it would have been better, and I'm not sure if it's normal for eggs to be sort of discolored/green but they don't taste the best either. All in all, I don't know if I'll be returning to this location. I spent $17 for two bagels for me and my boyfriend but I don't even know if I want to finish mine.

Bottom Line: A decent place for a bagel, soda or coffee. If I really want a good bagel then I head to Naval Bagels or Uber Bagels but on a Friday morning when I was in the area I found Einstein's to be a decent place for a quick breakfast. The employees were friendly, the restaurant was quiet and clean and they had my beloved Diet Coke on the soda fountain. I had the farmhouse sandwich on a pretzel bagel. The farmhouse has egg, cheese, ham and bacon on it so it was a hearty choice.

I had to go grab a backpack, and when I returned 10 minutes later she ranted about how attentive to the table he was! They were busy(Saturday before Easter), but that attention to detail shined through the whole meal. Food came out spectacular, he remembered everything we asked for and was exceptionally patient with our 1.5 year old. Joshua made the experience wonderful, and made our anniversary even better. Thank you!

However, the chicken was breast meat and sliced thin, which made it come across as dry. I did tell the server I liked it and didn't go into much detail since she seemed very busy and I didn't want to add stress in the moment. Still, it's not something I would personally order again. The waffle situation was more frustrating. I initially received cornmeal waffles, but I had told my server ahead of time that I strongly avoid cornmeal. She said she would substitute them, so I was surprised when the plate came out with the original cornmeal waffles. I didn't realize at first and ended up taking a bite before noticing. I let the server know and she had the kitchen remake it. The replacement Belgian waffles were overcooked and dense, so they didn't really improve the experience. The butter though was genuinely delicious, just very rich and more of a holiday-style flavor than something I'd personally crave in warmer weather. I also had a basic cup of coffee made with Rise Up Coffee Roasters, which was $4.50. That felt overpriced for what it was. I could have walked right across the street and had a specialty coffee from the source for very little extra cost, which honestly would have been the better choice. Overall, the experience had some clear issues, especially with the waffle mix-up and consistency, but it wasn't completely disappointing. I just don't think I would personally order the same meal again.

Sunday 1/11/26 Once…read moreagain, another spot that I found with the help of yelp as the high ratings & reviews definitely gained my attention. I made a takeout order and got the crab cake omelette (w/ a biscuit) $18.29, legendary scone: Blueberry $3, single blueberry pancake $2.89, single maple bacon pancake $2.89, and single cinnamon roll pancake $2.89. - The crab cake omelet was my 2nd favorite as they surprisingly didn't skimp on the crab additions. The biscuit was just alright, but luckily it's best once combined with omlette to make a good sandwich. - The blueberry scone was probably my favorite, as it was pretty good. It was moist, fresh, and well done. - The trifecta of pancakes ranged from just okay to decent, and my ranking would go blueberry, maple bacon, and then cinnamon roll. For some odd reason, the texture of the cinnamon roll pancake was notably inferior to the other 2. Overall, my experience was quite a good one due to the scone and crab omelet delivering the most. -- #issa.cheatday

Had breakfast one morning at this small popular eatery while in town with friends. Walk up counter…read moreservice, with menus on the board, along with paper menus. Place your order, pay and get a number then grab a seat. Breakfast on the waterfront is whats here, with a few seats inside. Some benches are outside as well down by the waters edge and marina. It was a nice sunny morning on our visit so we grabbed a bench outside and waited for our number. Biscuits and gravy with two eggs over medium, the biscuits were good and the gravy better than average and its pretty hard to mess up a couple eggs. All in all a decent enough breakfast. The location makes this place what it is, a waterfront breakfast joint. Small interior, busy and not much of a place to sit and enjoy other than outside. The line moves pretty quick. 3.5 Stars rounded up for the locale 01108

At Preserve, consistency is not the point, evolution is. Each visit feels slightly different,…read moreshaped by a menu that shifts with the seasons and refuses to coast on familiarity. That restlessness works in its favor. The space is compact, almost disarming at first. Then it settles around you. There is a quiet intimacy to the room, the kind that feels less designed and more lived in. It leans closer to a welcoming home than a polished dining room, without losing its sense of purpose. The food carries that same balance. Thoughtful, seasonal, and just unpredictable enough to keep you paying attention. Cocktails follow suit, measured and deliberate, never an afterthought. For Annapolis, where good options are not exactly rare, this place still manages to separate itself. It belongs firmly in the top tier of the city's dining scene, and it earns that position every time it changes the menu and starts over again.

This is a place that has lots of drinks and foods that have some unique and creative flavor profiles. We were greeted immediately and sat at bar. Server acknowledged us quickly and was very friendly. Checked on us throughout the time we were there. Ordered a tequila cocktail that was amazing. Highly recommend!!! So so good. Their cocktail menu has the spirit and then a description under of the drink. No actual names. Lots of interesting drinks. We grabbed a couple of apps. Got the pork bites and smoked fish dip. Both were tasty and had interesting flavors that worked. The portions were great. You can tell that great care and thought is put into to the menu. The burger and fries looked amazing - on special and lots of people around us were ordering it. Would have ordered that if we were eating a bigger meal. This is a gem of a place. Truly crafty food and drinks. Highly recommend trying them out. Would come back again.

And one of the first things you see when you walk in is their glass case with various pastries. Dang, I'm in trouble! The all look so good! Then, there is the menu. Wow! They offer a lot of different options. After a quick review, I knew I wanted breakfast, so I ordered a simple Bacon, Egg, and Cheese on a Bagel. It was great! And during this whole experience, we had really good service ... checking up on us regularly. But wait, I'm not done yet. You see, I order the BEC on a bagel for a reason. I wanted to make sure I had room for one of their delicious pastries. And they had one of my favorites ... apple fritter. Oh man! It was soo good! I was bouncing off the walls with all that sugar in my system, but it was worth it! Looking forward to returning and trying more items on the menu.

That said, I didn't feel interrupted by the conversation of the folks next to us but the guy's elbow bumped me a couple times. We were basically shoulder to shoulder with the barrier between our food. More food. Given their penchant for super sized foods, I thought the default sandwich would be bigger. It wasn't bad but it was kind of skimpy. And it didn't come with anything. I got the jumbo fries and my nephew and I finished them with no trouble. More flavor. Yeah, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't great! A Reuben should be really powerful with all the different flavors but this turkey Reuben was a bit muted. I joked that I would try to challenge menu but I would need to taste the food first to make sure I liked it. I think I could have met the challenge but I don't think I would have enjoyed it.

We got there around 1:30-2 for a late lunch. We were warned of a 30m wait for 6 however were told…read morewe would be seated before close time and be fine. I should take a step back, parking when driving east is literally right past the restaurant in the back. I personally think it's almost invisible that way, there is a sign but it looks like it's pointing to a grassy field (my SO felt the same way). I turned up further and U turned and it's more clear going west. The parking says free but the people caravaning with us got dinged for parking being free until 3 (we were there after that) which was not well advertised (SO only figured it out online) and there were no gates or cards when we went in free that I saw. I guess that's not really the restaurants fault but it did sour the experience a little and worth knowing getting there. Anyway, the waiting area is big but it's fairly narrow so if you're not on the bench you're sort of awkwardly standing in the middle of the entry area. But since it's big there wasn't any colliding with people unlike other places I've had to wait. There is outside seating but it was not available the day we were there despite it being 60-70s. Their menu has a good mix of breakfast and lunch foods. My first complaint is that a lot of the stuff is a lot. They don't have a lot of non-complex foods (e.g. plain hamburger) which may turn off some folks notably kids. That said their kids menu combo was pretty diverse itself, both kids with us seemed pleased. I got a pulled pork sandwhich with sweet potato fries. I also saw best pancakes in the country advertised so got 2 pancakes (apparently they have a short stack I did not see on either manu) which I felt was good to know. I was pleased with all my food, though it was understably messy. However, given the length of time it took to seat as well as eat, I did not think it was any better than IHOP or Dennys. So comparing price and boasting, does affect my rating. I suspect some of the price hike is location, perhaps they can afford to do that, they definitely had plenty of customers! NOTE: Usually I'll describe other peoples food but our party was big. No-one had any super remarkable praise or detraction which is another reason for the 3* leaning. If we had not been driving through, hungry and specifically targetted this place I'm not sure we would have stayed. When we left we were not hungry and were happy but I am hard pressed to give more than 3* since it didn't feel memorable just long and expensive. That said, 3 is average, I would eat there again if in the area or even recommend people to try. But I also know that strip has a ton of stellar foods, so...likely you could also find better places even for brunch :)

We also tried the WhistlePig Old Fashioned with bacon, and it was hands down one of the best cocktails I've had in a long time. Rich, smoky, smooth, and perfectly balanced without being overly sweet. What really sets Dry 85 apart is the whiskey and cocktail selection. The variety is seriously impressive, whether you're a casual bourbon fan or a full whiskey enthusiast.
